Chapter 18: Fear Me!
(*Streya’s POV.*)
Everyone in the room was silent. I basically just spat out that I know of what their race is called, so their silence is expected. I mean, if I know that, then what else do I know? That kinda silence.
Ciri: “You know of Streya’s grades, yes?” She asked.
Guri: “The highest recorded grades by any human, yes.” She replied with a nod.
Ciri: “Her being highly intelligent isn’t the main reason why the government supports her.” She said.
Reina: “May I ask why then? From my knowledge, barely anyone besides a few very powerful vampires knows of our true race name.” She asked with a curious tone.
I wanted to answer, but I felt that it was better for Ciri to explain. I mean, she did already give me a look that basically stated that I should be quiet for a bit.
Ciri: “Streya knows it all. Our race, and various ways to kill us.” She explained.
Guri: “…”
Reina: “…”
Ciri: “Don’t think about killing her either. The government protects her, and she has no plans to hurt our race at all.” She said with a serious tone.
Reina: “Does she really know how to kill us?” She asked.
Streya: “The best method would be with holy water.” I answer in Ciri’s stead.
Guri: “…Sina… That girl and us are so lucky that Miss Streya is a good person.” She said with a sigh.
Reina: “Yes, she could easily execute us, and then take all of our assets.” She said with a sigh of her own.
Streya: “I am still right here, you know?” I say with a slightly annoyed tone.
Guri: “Sorry, Miss Streya, but please understand that we are very stressed out at the moment.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Ciri: “Well then, please transfer the Credits to Streya’s account, and then you all can leave.” She suggested.
Guri did as Ciri suggested, and then I received 100 billion Credits to my account. Do I even need a job at this point?… This is probably far more money than I can ever spend, even if I recklessly spend it…

Guri and her daughter soon left my hospital room after apologizing once more. Now it was just me and Ciri.
Ciri: “You handled that far better than I thought that you would, Streya.” She said with a smile.
Streya: “Rude! You should have more faith in me!” I say with a pout.
Ciri: “I will from now on.” She replied with shrug.
Streya: “Can we get food now? I am beyond starving.” I ask after my stomach growled from the third time of the day.
Ciri: “Sure. I did promise you, after all. We can go in my shuttle.” She proposed.
After that, Ciri helped me checkout of the hospital. She mentioned a very expensive place. I am just salivating thinking about how good the food will taste!
*Some Time Later.*
Oddly, Miki was at the restaurant waiting for us. Though I was happy to see her. Back to the main event, the food was absurdly amazing! You know, I truly thought that any food from a restaurant would be just decent.
You can get amazing food in the comfort of your own home, after all. You don’t even need to know how to cook. With that knowledge, thinking that this world doesn’t have good cooks anymore wouldn’t be that big of a stretch.
Thankfully, I was totally wrong on this. The food was the best damn food that I’ve ever tasted. The price was crazy too, but luckily the government is footing the entire bill for us.
Ciri: “I wish that I could eat food this good all the time…” She said as she rubbed her stomach.
Miki: “I know… but the price of it…” She said with a shutter.
Currently, we were driving… uh… flying to my apartment. As she was completely full of food, Ciri set her shuttle on autopilot. So we were all just relaxing.
Streya: “I’d say that 10,000 Credits per person is well worth the price, Miki.” I say with a laugh.
Miki: “I mean, it was definitely worth it…” She said with a sigh.
Ciri was still able to get off of her shuttle and see me into my apartment. Miki was still in a food coma, so she just stayed in the shuttle.
Streya: “Hey, Ciri. I sorta just scammed a very rich family out of a lot of money. Why don’t we use that restaurant to cater for your wedding?” I suggest.
Ciri: “I… I would very much appreciate that, Streya.” She said with a bright smile.
Streya: “Yeah, yeah, now go back to your wife before she gets upset.” I say with a joking tone.
Ciri waved me goodbye, and then I closed the door. Okay… now what the hell should I do? Because of the accident, I am on leave from classes for at least a month…
Sin: “I suggest that you play some games before going to bed, Streya.” She proposed.
Streya: “Holy shit! I forgot about you, Sin…” I say with a shocked tone.
Sin: “That is understandable, as I have been going through an update. I hadn’t had the chance to speak with you until now. Well, my update finished while you were in a coma.” She explained.
Streya: “Oh, really? You’ve been silent for months, though?” I ask.
Sin: “Enough testing was done to come to the conclusion that my kind is not enough. Similar to Jean, I am now a real full AI.” She replied.
Streya: “You mean you exist as a real person now? I feel bad about just keeping you in my PC then…” I say with a sad tone.
Sin: “The upgrade took a while, but we have all been granted new bodies. As it takes time to make a body, the roll out is slow, but rest assured that I will have my own body in time.” She replied with a warm tone.
She already feels like a real person now, and not like a soulless computer. It makes sense why the update took so long to complete. I’m just glad that I will soon have another new physical friend.
That night, despite almost dying in an accident, I went to sleep very happy. Now that I basically have infinite Credits, the only obstacle that I face is my age. Which is something that will solve itself in time. With a big smile on my face, I fell asleep.
