Chapter 17: I got ran over by a Vampire and Survived.

(*Streya’s POV.*)

When I woke up, I was once again in a hospital bed. Me and my stupid mouth… How many fucking times am I going to end up in the hospital in this life?…

Ciri: “Streya, you’re awake! Please tell me that you don’t have amnesia…” She said with a nervous tone.

Streya: “I’m sorry but, who are you?” I ask with a confused tone.

Ciri: “…”

Streya: “I’m joking! Don’t worry, how could I forget my cute vampire friend?” I say with a giggle.

Ciri: “Streya! Don’t do that again! I almost had a heart attack…” She said with a sigh.

Streya: “Hey, I get hit with a car in a sci-fi world. I am at least entitled to one or two jokes in bad taste.” I reply with a shrug.

Ciri: “Do you remember what happened? Don’t worry, there is surveillance footage that proves that you weren’t at fault in the accident.” She asked.

Streya: “I crossed the road, and some reckless driver turned a corner and hit me.” I reply.

Ciri: “Yes, that is exactly what happened. Please understand that this is an extremely serious accident.” She said with a serious tone.

Streya: “Serious? But I am fine, though?” I ask with a head tilt.

Ciri: “Fine? You do realize that you’ve been asleep for a month, right?” She said with a raised eyebrow.

What the hell!? An entire month? My body feels completely fine, though… I don’t look sick either. Is it just because of sci-fi bullshit that I still look this good?

Ciri: “You’re an enhanced human, yes, but you were still hit with a car that was going very fast. Most of your bones were broken, and you had a severe head injury.” She explained.

Streya: “Damn… I am just glad that I ended up fine in the end…” I reply with a shaken tone.

Ciri: “For fun, why don’t you give how many credits this will cost the government?” She asked.

Streya: “Hm… maybe around 5 million credits?” I reply.

Ciri: “Good guess… It seems that it wasn’t a waste to send you to the academy.” She said with a sigh.

Girl… did you expect me to get it wrong? How rude! I’ll have you know that I am very hard worked! Ah, Ciri, this hard worker is hungry... Can’t you hear my stomach make various complaints to you?

Ciri: “I’ll take you out to the most expensive restaurant that money can buy. But later. For now, we have to settle with the ones who hurt you.” She said with a serious tone.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Streya: “Settle? Are you expecting me to not want their deaths?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ciri: “…I wouldn’t think that you would, as you’re very nice. But if you wish for them to be executed, then it will be done.” She said with a grim tone.

Streya: “It depends on if they’re cute or not.” I reply with a shrug.

Ciri burst out in laughter before she showed me some pictures of them. I’ll admit, they’re a cute family, who I would hate to split up. Let alone have them all executed. Ciri told me who the one that was driving was, and she looked like a cheeky brat.

Apart from the brat, the sister was quite cute. Definitely my type. Her name is Reina Violet. Her long platinum blond hair that went down to her chest, and her pretty red eyes, truly made her look like a vampire. I mean, she actually is a vampire, but she really looks the part.

Reina also looked mature. Basically, she was absolutely my type. How could I get such a cute woman executed? It would go against my morals.

Streya: “I was joking about the execution, but I am surprised that they’re a cute family. Especially that Reina, she is very pretty.” I reply with a giggle.

Ciri: “Regardless of if you won’t press charges, they will still need to compensate you.” She explained.

Streya: “How so?” I ask.

Ciri: “They own this hospital, and the head of the Violet family owns various extremely profitable businesses. If you want, you can take them all.” She replied.

Streya: “How profitable are we talking here?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ciri: “They’re trillionairs, Streya.” She replied.

Streya: “Okay, then I just want a 50 billion Credits from them.” I reply.

Ciri: “You can take it all, you know? Society won’t even hate you for it.” She said with an unsure tone.

Streya: “Does it even need to be public?” I ask with a head tilt.

All of a sudden, a curtain, that ended up actually being a holograph, revealed the Violet family. Oh, shit… So they were here this entire time. Dammit! Reina totally heard me gush about how good looking she is…

Guri: “Miss Streya, if you’re willing to keep this incident a secret, then I am more than willing to give you an extra 50 billion Credits in exchange.” She said with a serious tone.

Streya: “I’ll accept, but only on the condition that little miss Sina gets punished. I mean, by you two parents, not by the government.” I reply.

Guri: “She will be punished by us, yes. She has gotten away with far too many things, and she really needs to learn from her mistakes. Starting with apologizing to you.” She replied with a stern tone.

Sina walked up to me and bowed. She is like a scared little lamb. I guess that Guri wasn’t joking about punishing her…

Sina: “Miss Streya, I am deeply sorry for my reckless actions.” She said with a remorseful tone.

Streya: “As long as you understand, it’s fine. Sina… are you okay?” I ask with a concerned tone.

Sina: “…”

Sina was huffing and puffing. She looked up from the ground, and she then stared intently at my open neck. Before I could react, she had lunged at me. Luckily, her family was able to react in time to stop her from attacking me.

Reina knocked her out by hitting Sina in the back of her neck. Her entire family looked extremely shocked. Mostly because they were worried that I would press even more charges on them. Not like I did, but I now had more ammo to do so.

Meme: “Please forgive our daughter! She is considered very young to our kind, and she just doesn’t know how to resist her urges.” She said with a nervous tone and a bow.

Streya: “I understand. My blood is very special, and some vampires just can’t control themselves when they get a whiff of it. Luckily, most can, though.” I reply with a shrug.

Meme: “Vampires?” She asked with a head tilt.

Reina: “…”

Guri: “…”

Ciri: “…Miss Meme, could you please take your daughter home with you? We have some things to discuss.” She asked with a sigh.

Meme: “Hm? Oh, okay. I wanted to take her home, as letting her wake up near Miss Streya, wouldn’t be a good idea.” She replied.

Meme then had a maid pick up Sina in a princess carry, and then she left the room. Now it was just me and the vampires in the room. Yes, I realize that I accidentally blurted out government secrets. I am repenting on it, don’t worry…
