Chapter 4: Meeting Powerful People.
(*Streya’s POV.*)
After I woke up, I took a nice shower, and had some soup once more. Though, I felt like I was getting better, so I can probably eat something solid tomorrow.
Ah, now that I think about it, considering what this place is for, it’s no wonder the girls are so pampered. And why they’re allowed to have sex with each other. If what N 85 said is true, then the happier a girl is, the better her blood will taste.
It’s also good to get them used to being intimate with women, as it will serve them better when they’ve been picked up by their mistress. This might also be why all of the staff are vampires as well.
If they were humans, there might be a conflict of interest. Though, it didn’t look like any of the girls here, have been bitten by the staff. Probably because they don’t want to damage the merchandise? Or maybe, drinking someone’s blood, is something similar to their first time?
Sure, I could ask N 85 about this, but I find it far more fun to just wonder what the answers to these questions are.
My AI assistant, she said that a meeting will happen in a few hours from now, so I just played some games while I waited. I am still pissed off that I cannot access full dive VR games yet…
*Hours Later.*
Currently, I am being guided to somewhere. Oddly, I was advised to not wear my ID collar, and there are four maids following along with me. Or rather, I am in between the four maids, as if they are blocking off my escape. Did I make a mistake in asking for a meeting? Oops…
Minutes later, I was now in an office. Sitting on a nice looking desk chair, was the first maid that I saw when I got to this dimension. Oh, I guess that she is the one in charge of this place? Besides the maid outfit, she sure looks the part.
Head Maid: “You wanted a meeting, yes? We took the liberty of not putting your ID on.” She said with a curious tone.
Streya: “Yes, I wanted a meeting. Was there something wrong with my ID?” I ask.
Head Maid: “First, my name is Ciri, and I am one of those vampires that you talked about. The ID records everything that you say and do. We decided to have this meeting in secret.” She explained.
Streya: “Ah, so that’s another feature of them, huh? Anyway, I assume that any and all information about vampires, is completely hidden?” I ask with a curious tone, after I sat down on a chair in front of her desk.
Ciri: “Very, very hidden. In fact, only we vampires know of what we used to be called. The humans haven’t known what we are, for over a few hundred years now.” She replied.
Ah! Information that clarifies that this isn’t my original dimension! I really did get transported to a different world! I wonder what happened to the girl who originally owned this body, though? I feel bad about it, but I doubt that I will ever get an answer as to why I ended up in this body… at least, not at the moment.
Streya: “Ah, alright then. Then I shall prove that I am not from this dimension, and just randomly ended up in this girl’s body after I died.” I say with a confident tone.
Ciri: “You’re very welcome to try. We have no idea where you came across such information as what we are called.” She gestured for me to try.
The woman clearly didn’t think much of me, and that I just randomly came across their species name. It was fun watching her expression grow worse, and worse, as I explained the various things that I knew about vampires.
With her reactions, I was able to guess that most of the things that I knew about vampires, were actually true. That included the ways to kill them. Such as impaling their heart with a stake, or shooting them with a silver bullet. Or using a silver weapon to strike them.

I didn’t mention sunlight as a means to kill them, as that method is stupid, and makes no sense. Why? It might be a little, but the moon still emits some UV rays from the sun. As you know, the light on and from the moon, is just from the sun. If they were weak to UV rays, then even the moonlight would kill, or at least hurt them.
Ciri: “This… This is a problem…” She said with a grim tone.
Streya: “Why is that?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Ciri: “We cannot kill you.” She replied.
What!? I mean, it’s understandable why they would want to kill me. Since I know how to kill them, but why can’t they kill me?
Streya: “Why can’t you kill me?” I ask with a curious tone.
Ciri: “From what you described, you should know how vampires see humans, right?” She asked.
Streya: “You need our blood to live, so, you see us as livestock, right?” I answer.
Ciri: “That is a difference between the vampires in your world, and the vampires in this one. As we do not need human blood to live. Think of a human’s blood as the finest thing that you can drink.” She explained.
Streya: “So you don’t see us as livestock?” I ask.
Ciri: “Far from it. From the recordings that we heard and watched from your ID, you have the wrong impression. Sure, there aren’t many free humans, but isn’t like you and the other girls are mistreated in any manner.” She said.
Streya: “Can you really prove that?” I ask with a serious tone.
Ciri: “Vampires rarely have more than one mate. Once they have one, they make them immortal, and they treat them as their true wives.” She explained.
Streya: “Wait, do vampires not get into relationships with other vampires?” I ask with a curious expression.
Ciri: “No. No such thing has ever been recorded.” She replied.
Streya: “That doesn’t explain why you cannot kill me, though.” I say.
Ciri: “Are humans hurt in this world? Yes, I cannot deny that. But for a vampire to do so, is to highly break the law. Depending on how badly they were hurt, or if a death was caused, death is the punishment for the vampire who committed the crime.” She answered.
Streya: “What if it wasn’t that serious of a crime?” I ask.
Ciri: “Then the vampire will be put in prison, and will have to pay a fine. The human that was injured, will be made a free human, and be supported by the government for the rest of their life.” She answered.
Streya: “Oh, so it’s just like a normal justice system? Then why is it a problem?” I ask.
Ciri: “Was the government in your world always fair?” She asked.
Streya: “That is a very funny joke that you’ve just made.” I say with a giggle.
Ciri: “It is the same in this dimension. The laws still favor us vampires. Even still, killing you would be a major crime.” She said with a sigh.
Streya: “Why would you need to kill me, though?” I ask with a head tilt.
Ciri: “Because you know how to kill us. And you can tell other humans about the methods to do so.” She replied.
Streya: “I have no intentions of killing any vampires, unless in self-defense. Nor do I have any intentions of overthrowing those in power in this world.” I say with a serious tone.
Ciri: “…Did you know that vampires can sense lies? If so, then you should understand my shock, as you have not lied at all.” She said with a perplexed expression.
Streya: “Look, I just want to live freely. That’s all.” I say with a shrug.
Besides, vampires are hot anyway. Why would I want to kill them all off? That’s just shooting myself in the foot a few times.
Ciri: “Even still, a deal must be made.” She said with a thinking pose.
Streya: “What kind of deal?” I ask.
Ciri: “You will be put in the most prestigious human academy in this dimension. You will also be given money to live, and an apartment to commute to and from the academy.” She explained.
Streya: “And what do you all get out of this deal?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Ciri: “Your execution if you reveal the methods to kill us to other humans.” She said with a serious tone.
Streya: “Deal!” I say with an excited tone.
Ciri: “…Why is that not a lie either?” She asked with a confused expression.
Streya: “I am very antisocial by nature. Besides, I have no intention of taking another human as a wife.” I honestly reply.
Ciri: “You would still prefer to be with a vampire? Then what was the point of this meeting?” She asked with a sigh.
Streya: “Being with a woman that is immortal, that loves you so much, that they make you immortal as well, is super romantic, don’t you think?” I say with a happy tone.
Ciri: “Then, why the meeting?” She repeated.
Streya: “I want freedom. Freedom to choose who will be my wife. Freedom to live as I please. That is the purpose of this meeting.” I explain.
Ciri: “I see… Then this meeting is finished, and a deal has been made.” She said with a smile.
Streya: “Awesome! Freedom, here I come!” I say with a smile.
Ciri: “Honestly, I am just glad that you do not know the surefire way to kill us.” She said with a happy sigh.
Streya: “You mean holy water, right? But I doubt any churches still exist.” I say with a thinking pose.
After I said that, the maids behind me all fainted, and Ciri had an odd expression that I couldn’t place. Oh shit… I totally just blurted that out, huh? Oops?…
