Jack continued his flurry of slashes to no avail, as Amber kept avoiding them. Much to Jack's annoyance, Amber started moving backward at such a fast pace that Jack's slashes couldn't reach her. Any air slashes he projected from his blade were defended by Amber's barrier.
"You've become far slower, Jack," Amber stated. "The battle has already been decided."
"Huff, Huff, shut the...hell up," Jack, who was bleeding profusely from his wound, demanded. My stamina is decreasing rapidly. It must be the brat's fault...This is the first time I've ever felt tired in a fight...
Jack had chased Amber out of multiple cities and into a mountain range. Upon her presence, Amber illuminated the groups of mountains.
"Huff, Huff, Stop running around!" Jack yelled as he struggled to stand straight. Shit, she hit me one time...and I'm in this state!
"Alright, this is a good place," Amber stated. "Far away from any city in sight. Time to finish this now."
"Finish...this!? You think you can--"
Amber appeared before Jack's face in a streak of golden light before he could finish his words. With her fist gleaming with light, Amber struck Jack in the stomach. Her punch had brightened the mountain range even more than her presence, and Jack crashed straight into the side of a mountain.
As Amber gazed at Jack, she observed extensive burns on his body. It was comparable to what he received from the combined efforts of Amber and Kreuger.
"Argh..." Jack groaned in agony. No way...am I going to lose...to her!? Jack thought. To a brat like her...who gained power out of nowhere!?
"May you rest in peace, demon," Amber commented as she pointed her index finger at Jack.
In my entire life, I've murdered everyone. There's never been anything that stopped me. Jack thought as his breathing rate increased. I've always killed, BUT NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I WANTED TO KILL ANYONE THIS BADLY!
To Amber's surprise, Jack's body emanated excess black miasma. In response to this, Amber backpedaled to gain distance.
Nothing matters now...I don't give a damn about the developer's game or anything. Jack thought as he pulled himself out of the mountain. I only want to kill this brat now!
The developer, who stood on the peak of a mountain, witnessed this occurrence from Jack.
"Heh, I was rather worried when Amber Hoss attained enlightenment, but it seems we still have a chance, huh, Themis?" The developer commented. "Who would have thought two people would achieve this...in the same era!?"
"Hmpf, all struggles are in vain," Themis, who projected herself in her light form, responded. "It's too late for the demon."
As the black energy dissipated, it revealed Jack's altered state. His current physical state contrasted heavily with his prior state, as Jack's white clothing and hair were corrupted by pure darkness.
His hair had also grown longer and had the color of a shadow. This complemented his eyes, which were pitch black like an abyss. Like Amber, Jack received a halo above his head, but his was black and had spikes around it.
Jack's body was constantly emitting black miasma, making him more menacing. As Amber gazed at him, she couldn't help but witness the big smile he had on his face.
"What...have you become now?" Amber questioned.
"I'm just as clueless as you," Jack responded. "But I've never felt this good in all my life!"
Without hesitation, Jack rushed Amber. He had moved so fast that he left a streak of black in his wake. Amber, who was ready, avoided a couple of Jack's swings before wrapping his arm with light wires.
While Jack was restrained, Amber kicked him in the chest. This had enough force to send Jack through multiple mountains before blasting him into a nearby city. Much to Amber's regret, Jack had crashed right beside a nearby civilian.
Oh no, I messed up with that kick. Amber thought as she chased down Jack - she knew what he would have done, but it was too late to stop him.
"W-Who are you!?" The civilian questioned. Due to the rain, he was holding an umbrella. "A-Are you okay--"
Before the civilian could finish, the enlightened Jack grabbed him by the shirt. The civilian had no time to process this as Jack's black miasma came onto him like an infection. The darkness caused the civilian's body to disintegrate in Jack's hand - from skin to bone, everything rapidly disintegrated.
"...Wow, that's new," Jack said.
"...You fiend," Amber, who confronted him, stated.

While Nathan and the gang were traveling via jet, Nathan received a message on his phone. Upon checking it, he noticed it was from the developer, and it said, "You need to help your party member, Jack."
Huh?

As Jack and Amber fought, they were zipping around at immense speeds. Civilians only witnessed a geometrical structure of black and gold light streaks in the air. That was the last thing they saw before their bodies were surrounded by darkness before disintegrating.
"How wretched," Amber muttered as she materialized a sword made of light. In a quick motion, Amber slashed through Jack's neck. It seems as though the slash did nothing and phased through Jack's neck, but that was how fast he healed the wound.
Even with my blades of justice being effective against him, he can regenerate that fast... Amber thought. His murder blessing must have gotten an upgrade. Has he become like me?

Being near her is damaging me a lot... Jack thought as blood seeped from his mouth and eyes. If only I never got messed up so badly before acquiring whatever power I got now.
In that case! Both Amber and Jack thought synchronously.
Amber created a spear of light and tossed it at Jack. Jack, however, deflected it with his dura-neg before rushing another civilian.
Of course, a demon like you would do that! Amber thought as she intercepted him before reaching the civilian in a streak of golden light. Due to the sheer speed the duo moved, the fearful civilian had no clue that he was close to death.
She pushed Jack away and sent him crashing into a desert. Upon impact, Jack's body left a massive hole in the biome. As Amber approached him, Jack got up and prepared to attack. His durability negator emanated black miasma, and Jack suddenly sliced at the air.
Jack sent a massive air-slash wave of black miasma at her, which surprised Amber. Although she blocked, Amber suffered visible damage from that attack.
Haha, I'm learning more and more about myself. Jack thought as he and Amber gazed at each other. So, this is my true talent, huh?
As the duo continued zooming around and fighting, the developer and Themis's light projection followed closely. Their battle encompassed the entirety of England as slightly detailed streaks of black and gold light were visible all over.
The cause for this was Jack, who disintegrated tons of civilians with his murderous energy, and the annoyed Amber chasing him.
My daughter, it is time to finish this. Amber's goddess advised her. That demon has made a breakthrough, and as he continues this battle, he will keep learning and become an even greater threat.
Yes, I will defeat him now. Amber responded as she flew high into the air. Thank you for all the help you've given me, goddess.
Amber radiated immense light from her body - she was like a star. Jack, however, reveled in the amount of death he was causing.
HAHAHAHA!! All this murder is the best! I don't care about working with the developer and his game characters anymore! Jack said as he released a large wave of darkness from himself, which killed any remaining individuals in the city. I'll murder them too! I wonder how Zack's face would look as I kill him. Or Olivia's expression? I wonder how Nathan would look if I murdered Lilith in front of him!
"There's truly nothing more fun than killing--"
Jack, amid his high, noticed Amber in the air. In her hand was a horn purely made of light.
Dear god, guide my hand at this very moment. Amber internally prayed. Just as you always have. Thank you for fighting with me...to deliver the world from this evil.
Divine Ablution. Amber thought as she blew the horn, and a massive pillar of light rained down on Jack.
"AAAHHHHHH!!!!" Jack yelled in agony. Although the light brought agony to Jack, nothing else in the vicinity was damaged by it. After several seconds of being bathed by it, the light finally dissipated.
Amber landed in front of Jack, who sat on the ground and leaned his back on a building wall. A large majority of his body had suffered third-degree burns, with charred skin being visible.
My regen is moving...at a snail's pace. Jack thought with a disoriented expression. "Heh, what...did you...do?"
"You planned to recover some power by consuming the lives of innocent civilians, so I simply washed you in justice. That is the core of my blessing," Amber responded. "Like you, I became enlightened and understood my blessing extensively. My attack reached the depths and burnt even your horrid soul."
"I...see."
"Even though you were an utter waste of human life, you're right. We are two sides of the same coin. You opened my eyes to that. Even you brought some value to this world," Amber said. "So, at least for that, thank you. Do you have any regrets?"
"Yeah, one...actually. I have done many things in my life...and I thought I'd die regretting nothing. Even throughout our battle, I never thought...I'd regret anything...that is, until now. I regret not killing you," The critically injured Jack struggled to say. "But...I can take solace...in the fact...that I've taken...so many things and people...from you. I'm glad you and your friends...will be mentally destroyed...for the rest of your lives...if not for a long time--"
Having enough of Jack's words, Amber materialized a blade of light and pierced his heart with it. This caused Jack to cough up blood.
"Your very words are displeasing, you demon," Amber responded. "Just be quiet and die."
Hehe...To think I got killed...by this brat. Jack pondered as his eyes slowly closed. Well, I'm sure this isn't the end...of her suffering. Kreuger too. I know this...because I was...a prized possession...to the Master.
As he took his last breath and his body slumped over, the psychopathic, hedonistic mass murderer known as Jack the Ripper has died. Much to Amber's annoyance, he had passed away with a big smile on his face.
The developer who witnessed this with Themis stood on a building roof with clenched fists.
"Tch, damn it," The developer said. "He lost..."
"I told you, this outcome was predetermined," Themis stated. "Now, I must commend my daughter for her hard work."
The developer didn't respond, and Themis's light dissipated.
Sigh, he died. I bet you're angry, Phonoi. Jack, who you blessed, got killed...and by none other than Themis's 'daughter.' The developer thought. But, if he lost...then I guess he's a failure.
"Nathan and the others never made it in time," The developer remarked. "Well, it's best if they never showed up. They would have died."

As Amber gazed at Jack's corpse, she lost her angelic presence - her physical attributes returned to her normal state as her Enlightened form burned away from her body.
Sigh, even if it was this demon, I just killed a human being. Amber pondered. But...I'm taking this much better than I thought.
My daughter, you have truly pleased me! Amber's goddess said with excitement. My heart is filled with joy at your victory!
I can't count this...as a victory. Countless people have died because I took this long to break my limits. Amber rebutted internally. I still couldn't save everyone...
Nonsense, my daughter. Although many have fallen, you have saved even more by defeating him. You have done well in my eyes. Her goddess comforted. Let all the world know that this is my beloved daughter, in whom I am well pleased.
Hearing that caused a smile to form on Amber's face.
Goddess, if I may ask. Could I know your name? Amber questioned.
Of course, my daughter. My name is Themis. Themis responded. This brightened Amber's smile on her face.
Thank you for everything, Lady Themis. Amber expressed. "Thank you so much. I need to find the other criminals now."
Without hesitation, Amber dashed off. Unaware of the fact, Nathan and the squad were nearby and saw Jack's corpse from their jet.
"JACCKKK!!! NOOOO!!!" Olivia, who witnessed this, yelled as she burst into tears. Her despair was matched by Zack's expression, although he was not crying.
"N-No way...how could this happen to Jack!?" Zack questioned as Olivia continued screaming. "W-Who could have done this!?"
Nathan and Lilith didn't relate to their sadness, with them only being slightly shocked.
So, a psycho like Jack kicked the bucket? I guess that's why the developer texted me that, even though we came too late. Nathan thought. Ah, finally. No need to worry about him hurting Lilith, then.
