Led by Kreuger, the group of soldiers entered a darkened room.
"Ugh, where's the light?" Aiden asked. "So damn dark..."
"I got this, guys!" Amber assured. Activating her blessing, Amber lit up the entire room with her own body.
"Heh, a walking flashlight," Kreuger teased.
"Hey!" Amber said with puffy cheeks.
Amber's radiant light revealed the contents of the room. Numerous containers and crates filled the room with a range of firearms in them. What caught Amber's eye were bags of medical syringes, pills, tablets, and pure white powder scattered around the ground.
"Are those...drugs?" Amber asked as she pointed at the evidence.
"Illegal ones, too," Altius added. "The mafia never intended to turn a new leaf even after getting a second chance. Freaking hell, it's so messy here..."
Not the fun kind of drugs. Trixie thought.
"Who cares about all that," Kreuger interjected as he marched towards a large container. "We're not here to investigate!"
"Would it kill you to be cooperative like an actual damn soldier!?" Altius exclaimed.
"We're wasting time with things that can be investigated later..." Kreuger said as he grabbed the container. "The targets are the highest priority right now."
With an effortless push, Kreuger tossed the container and slammed it to the side, resulting in a loud bang. This caused the group to flinch from obvious surprise.
"Jeez..." Aiden uttered in shock.
With the container moved, a trap door was revealed underneath.
"They likely escaped underground, let's go," Kreuger suggested.
They had enough time to enter the passageway and block the path with that container, huh? Aiden thought. Maybe they have other trapdoors leading to the same path...
Agreeing with Kreuger's suggestion, the group opened the trap door and entered the hidden room. They descended to a pure, white passageway. They wasted no time and began running to catch up to the bosses.
After a few moments of running, the team encountered a four-way split in the passage ahead.
"Sigh, of course, there would be something like this," Altius said as he facepalmed.
"Splitting up would be the best decision in times like this," The Queen Deathbringer said. "To not leave any area unsearched."
"Yeah, and I'm going by myself," Kreuger said as he went to the rightmost passage. This decision only provoked Altius's ire and even slightly annoyed the super soldier. "I won't need to hold back if I go alone."
"Whatever, I'm going to the one on the left..." Altius said as he chose the leftmost passage. "You're coming with me, Amber."
"O-Okay, sir!"
"Since we're watching our students, I'll take Aiden too!" Trixie stated after she chose the passage second to the left.
"Guess I'm going alone, too," The super soldier assumed. "Not like I mind."
"You'll be fine. You're one of the strongest super soldiers, after all..." Altius said.
"Well, yes," She responded. It's better if I go alone.
"Alright, guys! Let's have some fun!" Trixie declared.
"Yeah, whatever. Come back all alive, alright?" Altius said.

"But what about Ryzen? Should we have left him alone...?" Amber asked. I...I don't want any more people to die...
"Oh, him? Well, as unpredictable that bastard's personality is, I wouldn't be worried for him," Altius stated. "It may be a long time ago, but he fought Queen Isabella years ago...and won."
"W-Wow!"
* * *
Returning to Ryzen, he was in the middle of his solo confrontation with the mafia forces. Much to their annoyance, he seemed rather casual and unafraid.
"Tsk, you better wipe that smirk off your damn face," The woman with the bladed hair stated. "If you think you're beating us all by yourself, you must be braindead."
"Oh, you guys don't have to worry about me!" Ryzen assured. "Take your best shot. I wanna see what you got, mainly the ones with blessings here."
In annoyance, the forces aimed their firearms and attempted to fill Ryzen with lead. Much to their astonishment, the bullets missed the stationary Ryzen and filled holes in the mansion's interior.
"What the...how are you idiots missing!?" The man with glass-covered arms angrily questioned.
"Yeah, maybe they should get their eyes checked?" Ryzen mocked as he rubbed his chin.
Enraged by Ryzen's casual demeanor, the blessed mafiosos rushed him. Ryzen simultaneously pulled out a rather large knife from inside his red haori.
It isn't necessary, but let's use my sturdy knife. Ryzen thought.
Ryzen was engaged in close quarters by the one with the glass-enforced fists. The criminal was also supported by the woman, who used her hair as piercing projectiles and the gunfire of the rest,
Ryzen easily avoided the man's jabs and strikes and used his 'sturdy knife' to block the hair blades. With every blade that he blocked, large but superficial cuts appeared on the woman's body. The blades he didn't block but weaved went through the mansion's walls and retracted back to her hair's original shape.
Of course, the constant bullets fired missed Ryzen. He never had to go out of his way to avoid them. The bullet's trajectory was always off, which annoyed the criminals.
"Ugh!" The woman groaned in pain as she held her wounds. Although she received damage, she did not cease her support. As Ryzen continued to block her hair, the gashes only accumulated on her and now on her comrades.
"Ouch, what is going on!?" The criminal with the glass-type blessing yelled. "You must be doing this! What is your blessing!?"
"You shouldn't be focusing on that," Ryzen responded as he casually sat on a couch in the mansion. "I know you guys haven't trained much, but you're already boring me, so I'll give you one shot to kill me, I guess."
Just like before, Ryzen's relaxed attitude provoked their ire.
"Tsk! There you go looking down on us again!" The man with the glass blessing said. "Fine! You want to give us a free shot, I'll make sure to murder you!"
The glass began to morph heavily around the individual's right arm until it started to look like the scales of a dragon.
"Quick! Give me some of your hair!" He demanded the woman with the bladed hair. She obliged and wrapped his scale-like arm with her hair and detached that part from her head.
"Oh? Not too bad!" Ryzen commended. "For beginners, that is!"
"Kill that damn bastard!" The woman declared.
The criminal wasted no time and charged at Ryzen. He retracted his morphed arm and clenched his fist, preparing to strike Ryzen, who just sat there.
The man performed a powerful hook to Ryzen's head, pushing him off the couch and smashing him into the wall. The strike was so powerful that a small portion of the glass on his arm shattered and dispersed across the room.
"Heh, not so laidback now, are we?" The man taunted with a cocky smirk.
"Hmm, that was weaker than I thought," Ryzen commented while his head was fixated between the wall and the criminal's fist. Judging by the lack of wounds or blood on Ryzen, he had taken no damage from that strike.
"What!?" The man uttered as he quickly backpedaled to gain distance. Simultaneously, Ryzen brushed off the dust and glass shards on his body casually.
"It's a shame, but I guess that's all you guys can do," Ryzen assumed. "Well, that's to be expected from minions."
Seeing his seemingly untouchable and invincible nature, the group of criminals was filled with a mixture of anxiety and rage.
"D-Don't mess with us!" The woman with the weaponized hair yelled. "We're chosen people by the mafia! Unlike you, who are nothing but a damn soldier!"
Ryzen's demeanor instantly changed negatively in response to her words. His smile disappeared.
"Chosen, huh...I never expected to get triggered by a bunch of minions..." Ryzen replied. "Alright, I'll only say this once. If you don't want to die, surrender right now."
"Surrender!? There's no way we're surrendering here!" The woman declared as she sent her hair in an attempt to stab Ryzen. "DIE--"
Before the hair could come close, Ryzen dashed up and stood before the woman. He grabbed her head and slammed it into the wall, crushing her skull and killing her instantly.
There was no sound as Ryzen moved, and in the criminals' eyes, he had disappeared and appeared with the woman's head splattered across the wall. His movement speed was massively over their perception speed.
Upon realizing the loss of their comrade at the hands of Ryzen, a rush of fear enshrouded them.
"...Anyone else wants to resist?" Ryzen asked in a low, menacing tone.
It was clear that any thoughts of resisting left every criminal's mind. No one wanted to meet the same fate as their now-deceased comrade.
"...Good," Ryzen said. I wonder if the regular soldiers finished suppressing the outside criminals. Not that I care about that.
