After cutting his meeting with Zack short, the developer ventured to another location—the White House. He arrived to talk with the president of the United States and his game character, Ada Foster.
What stood in his way though, was a security guard standing by the entrance.
"Hello, I'm the developer, and I'm here to meet President Ada. She's been expecting me," The developer explained to the guard. "So I'd appreciate it if you--"
"The developer? You expect me to know who you are?" The guard interrupted. "You think I'll let you in the White House if you refuse to tell me your name?"
"Uh, didn't the President tell you about me?" The developer questioned. "I'm not some kind of criminal, you know."
"I've never seen you around anywhere. I can't just let anyone enter," The guard interrupted. "I'll verify your identity with the president before."
"...Okay, I'll wait, I guess," The developer replied. I thought I wouldn't need to wait for whatever juicy information Ada has in store. Sigh.

While the developer was waiting for clearance to enter the White House, Ada was expectantly waiting. Sitting on a couch with legs folded, Ada occupied a lobby room with Serena Collins standing by her side. They donned black suits, but Ada's jet-black fur coat gave hers a more luxurious impression than Serena's.
"Um, Ms. Ada?" Serena uttered. "Who are we meeting today?"
"He calls himself the developer. I have no idea what his real name is, so I have no choice but to refer to him by his moniker," Ada explained. "I haven't told you much about the 'murder game,' but the developer is pretty much the overseer."
"M-Murder Game?"
"Hmm, it'll be complicated to explain everything, so I'll just say this. The developer and Nathan...plus the other S-Class criminals have partnered up to create that game, and as the name suggests, they commit various atrocities including murder," Ada lied. "The developer is the mastermind, but Nathan and his buddies are the ones to do all the dirty work with joy. They're the 'game character,' per say."
"...Pardon my asking, but why are we meeting with the developer then?" Serena questioned. "Wouldn't he be our enemy if he's working with Nathan?"
"Yeah, but I got in contact and convinced him to hear me out," Ada explained. "That's where you will come in, dear."
"R-Really?"
"You will understand when he comes," Ada assured. "Remember, this is all to get revenge on Nathan."
"...Yeah."
RING, RING!
Ada's conversation was disturbed by the audible ringing of a telephone on the center table.
"Oh, that may be him!" Ada excitedly exclaimed as she answered. "Hello?"
"Good day, Ms. President. Sorry for bothering you, but there is someone outside claiming that you are expecting him," The security guard, who confronted the developer explained. "He's calling himself 'the developer,' and refusing to give me his true name."
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Don't worry, just let him through," Ada assured.
"A-Are you sure?" The guard asked. "I don't think it's a good idea to let in someone who won't reveal their real--"
"Are you saying that I'm stupid?" Ada questioned.
"N-No! Not at all!" The guard responded. "Sorry, I'll carry him to you now!"
After clearing up the misunderstanding, Ada hung up the telephone.
"Hmpf, the nerve of lowly security guards. Your only use is to guard the entrance...nothing more," Ada muttered with slight annoyance. "You have no right to question the sovereign one's words. I should fire him, but I'll deal with that later."
Ada and Serena patiently waited until the developer was brought to the lobby. The guard took roughly five minutes to escort the developer to his destination.
"Hello, my game character! I hope you're doing well!" The developer loudly exclaimed, creating a flashy entrance. "It's been a while since we've conversed, hasn't it?"
"W-Wait, game character?" Serena muttered with confusion. "But I thought--"
"Tsk, this bastard has a weird tendency of calling people he likes 'game characters.' It's just the developer's nasty narcissism, causing him to degrade everyone as mere characters in his world," Ada explained. "But I keep telling you that the only game characters you got are Nathan, Zack, and Olivia. Don't you dare lump us in your sick delusions."
"O-Oh, I see!" Serena responded as she was fooled by Ada. The developer gazed at the two women before smirking.
Ada knew we would be meeting, but she kept this woman here. The developer pondered. And Ada felt the need to use her blessing on her. This woman must be important, huh?
"Well, sure! You're not wrong about that! I am pretty self-centered," The developer responded as he sat on a couch. "But anyway, I see a new face beside you. Am I to guess that's what this meeting will be about?"
"Yes! Her name is Serena Collins," Ada introduced. Serena gazed at Ada, clueless as to what she should say. "She was good friends with Nathan and Lilith until they coldly abandoned her, before becoming criminals."
"...Interesting."
"I graciously helped Serena to overcome the long-term sorrow those two caused her, and she's now with me," Ada continued. "Now, I want Serena to become your game character."
"Huh?" Both Serena and the developer uttered with raised eyebrows.
"She has what it takes to be a great character!" Ada stated. "Considering the need for revenge would drive her."
"Sure, but that's not a good enough reason for me to accept her," The developer stated. "What's in it for me?"
"Heh, let's be honest, then. I want Nathan to suffer for all he has done to me, and so does Serena," Ada admitted. "It was difficult to create a perfect plan, but Serena has made things easier. Her previous friendship with Nathan is a valuable asset."
Isn't the developer friends with Nathan? Serena internally questioned with a nervous expression. Should you be admitting this to him?
"Lemme guess, Nathan and the others aren't doing much since Jack's death," Ada assumed. Well, other than that insect Zack. "They aren't actively spreading chaos, right?"
"Maybe."
"It's because they've been relying on Jack up until now. You want your game to be completed, but that won't happen if the game characters fail to grow. For them to develop, they must experience hardships," Ada continued. "I don't know what your end goal is, but I'm sure chaos is the path to that goal. Think of me attacking them as a wake-up call for the game characters."
Ada's 'rationalization' placed a smile on the developer's face, which intensified as he listened.
"And if they die...well, they weren't useful game characters, then," Ada coldly stated.
"Heh, as expected of you, Ada. You are the most intelligent of my game characters. I knew you were creating such a grand mission," The developer commended. "I'll accept Serena as my new game character. I'm happy to have you on the squad!"
"O-Oh, thank you!" Serena replied.
"Before you do it, I want you to save introducing Serena to the other characters," Ada requested. "Their reunion must come at the perfect time."
"No problem," The developer replied. "I see you have no blessings, Serena. Is that fine?"
"Yes, it's fine. She doesn't need a blessing," Ada responded. "She only needs to be by my side. Right, Serena."
"Yes!"
"Lol, alright."
Great. Everything's coming together. All that's left is to make Serena a better actor than she already is. Ada pondered with a smile on her face. The developer likely thinks I'm doing this for his game, but I couldn't care less. I will cause Nathan suffering like no other, before slaughtering him like the dog he is.
