37-Captain Marvel

37-Captain Marvel

Absorbing the heat within the planet's core took me two weeks. As I withdrew my hands, the fire within me had grown and intensified.

"My power has increased at least tenfold."

By rapidly absorbing the cores of planets, I was gaining strength, and now it was time to travel into space to find Earth.

I needed to strengthen quickly as I searched for Earth. That way, the Ancient One wouldn't be able to stop me upon my return.

"Finding a new planet ruled by the Kree will be challenging," I said, passing through a stone door and emerging onto the surface.

Life on this world was nearly extinct. The only survivors must be the Kree aboard the spaceship.

Surveying my surroundings, I saw no signs of life. If I wanted to leave this planet, I had to find a spaceship and a Kree who knew how to operate it.

Turning my body into ash, I began exploring the planet. Ten minutes later, I found what I was looking for.

Before me stood another military base, engaged in a massive battle. I observed from a distance without getting closer. Only one person was attacking the Kree.

"At least as powerful as I am," I murmured to myself.

Warplanes firing in the air and warriors wielding glowing purple hammers couldn't harm this person. She moved incredibly fast, effortlessly killing every plane and fighter in a single move. About ten minutes passed, and the intensity of the battle decreased.

As the violence subsided, the diminishing energy around her allowed me to see her in detail.

It was a woman. She had blonde hair and wore a red costume. Her face and physique were impressive. The woman looked at the devastation with a smile on her face.

"Captain Marvel!" I exclaimed in astonishment.

Encountering Captain Marvel was unexpected. I thought she was closer to Earth in other planets. I had watched a movie about her in my past life, but I didn't recall all the details.

"She can help me find Earth!" I said, transforming back into human form. I chose human form because Captain Marvel was more connected to humans.

After transforming, I felt a bit cold. In my fire giant form, I didn't feel much, but the air was extremely cold. Ignoring it, I quickly moved towards the site of the battle. When I got close enough, I raised my hands, causing the warplanes attacking Captain Marvel to crash.

All my powers had significantly amplified, and even in human form, I could telekinetically control nearly twenty warplanes. Captain Marvel, witnessing the planes falling without any apparent reason, looked surprised and scanned her surroundings to identify the culprit.

When she looked around, our eyes met. Captain Marvel frowned, looking at me. There were still warplanes firing at us, but she ignored them and approached me.

"Who are you?" Captain Marvel asked, her expression serious, and I was sure she would attack if I said anything wrong.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"My name is Derek, I'm a human," I replied. Captain Marvel's frown disappeared upon hearing that I was human, replaced by a curious expression.

"You're far from Earth, Derek. You must have experienced a lot to be here," Captain Marvel said. Her distance towards me had slightly decreased after learning I was human.

"I think we should deal with these first before talking," I said, gesturing to the Kree around us. Captain Marvel heard me and looked around, smiling.

"Alright," she said, attacking the Kree. I didn't hold back and assisted her, using only my telekinetic abilities instead of the Blades of Chaos. I didn't trust Captain Marvel completely and didn't want her to know all my cards.

With my help, it took us only twenty minutes to eliminate all the Kree. After killing them all, I walked towards a rock and sat down.

Captain Marvel circled the planet and, upon confirming no more Kree remained, approached me.

"What happened to the military base on the other side of the planet?" she asked as soon as she came over.

"I destroyed it. Is there a problem?" I asked.

After hearing my words, Captain Marvel made eye contact with me. After looking into my eyes for about ten seconds, she smiled and asked, "Okay Derek, why are you so far from Earth?"

I knew Captain Marvel would ask me this question, so I had already thought about the answer. Captain Marvel was close to Nick Fury, and I would use that.

"My team and I were tasked with patrolling the Earth's surroundings to prevent potential threats. One day, the Kree trapped and captured me and my team, and here I am," I said, trying to convey as much sadness on my face as possible. It seemed Captain Marvel believed my fake sorrow.

"I thought I had eradicated the Kree around Earth," she said, with a troubled expression.

"After my team was captured, all the Kree around Earth were eliminated," I said.

Captain Marvel remained silent after hearing my words. After a moment of silence, she asked, "Aren't you going to ask who I am?"

Without hesitation, I answered, "Nick Fury mentioned you. You're Captain Marvel."

A smile appeared on Captain Marvel's face when she heard my words.

"How's Nick? Is he okay?" she asked. I could tell from her smile that she and Nick Fury were good friends.

"He was doing well before I lost contact with him," I said.

When Captain Marvel heard this, her smile became more genuine. She extended her hand to me and said, "My real name is Carol Danvers, nice to meet you, Derek."

Without hesitation, I shook her hand and replied, "Nice to meet you."

"You're quite far from Earth, Derek. I can take you back, but before that, I need to clear all the Kree planets in this region," Carol said.

"Are you suggesting I come with you during this time?" I asked. This would work well for me.

"I won't force you. If you want, I can drop you off on a nearby planet, and you wait until I finish my job. If you choose to come with me, your help would be greatly appreciated," Carol said.

"The Kree killed my friends. I'm coming with you to kill them," I said, my face displaying an angry expression.

Seeing this, Carol placed her hand on my shoulder.

"You'll definitely get your revenge," she said and began flying, holding onto my arm.

We landed next to a spaceship, and after entering a code, Carol opened its door. After Carol entered the code, the spaceship's door opened, and she went inside.

"Make yourself at home," she said, taking the driver's seat.

Following her into the spaceship, I sat in one of the passenger seats. Carol currently didn't suspect anything from me, and I had to use her as much as I could during this process.

The spaceship took off, rapidly leaving the planet's atmosphere and venturing into the infinite space. Carol's spaceship was much more advanced and faster than the one I had previously boarded.

I watched Carol as she piloted the spaceship and thought, *I definitely need to learn how to pilot a spaceship.*

It was actually the perfect time for it. Carol didn't suspect me because I was human, and she seemed quite helpful.

"While my team and I were patrolling Earth's surroundings, we used an outdated spaceship, and one of my friends used to drive it. I've always been curious about how to pilot a spaceship," I said, looking at Carol and the spaceship's cockpit with a curious expression on my face.

Carol chuckled when she saw my expression.

"I can teach you," she said, laughing.

"Really?" I asked, a fake happiness on my face.

"Piloting a spaceship is quite easy, so it won't give me much trouble," she said, gesturing for me to sit in the co-pilot seat.

After hesitating for a moment, I stood up and took a seat in the co-pilot's chair. Carol taught me how to pilot the spaceship.

I must admit that piloting a spaceship was easier than I thought, especially with advanced spaceships like Carol's.

Our destination was another Kree military base. Our journey would only take a week, during which I chatted with Carol and grew closer to her.

During our journey, I told her about what happened on Earth while she was away. In return, she taught me how to pilot a spaceship. We got along well, and the week passed quickly.

The planet we arrived at was another military outpost, similar in size to the previous Kree planet.
