27-Hunter Base
I left a note for Gwen as I headed out and ventured down a side street. Quickly turning my entire body into ashes, I made my way to the old warehouse.
The warehouse appeared quite old, with little settlement around it. I entered through a small opening on top of the warehouse, then descended. The ash particles came together to reform my body.
Sitting in a corner of the warehouse, John stood up as he saw me. Meanwhile, Aaron emerged from behind a cupboard inside the warehouse.
John came over and stopped in front of me. I nodded to him and turned to Aaron.
"Tell me what happened, in all the details," I said firmly.
Upon hearing my words, Aaron began to explain.
.
.
According to Aaron's account, a day after my departure, hunters appeared out of nowhere and inexplicably attacked the gang. When Aaron witnessed this, he advised the gang members to hide with the local leaders.
Through shadowy reconnaissance, Aaron discovered that the hunters had a leader named Kraven, and their motive for attacking the gang was to find me. When the hunters couldn't locate me at the gang's headquarters, they went on a rampage throughout the city. During this, they engaged in a battle with Spider-Man and Spider-Woman and decided to stay in Brooklyn.
Aaron said the hunters possessed advanced technology, with powerful weaponry and armor, using a technology that rendered their base invisible. Most of the hunters preferred close-range weapons, and only a few of them used ranged weapons, which were far from ordinary.
As Aaron relayed this information, the guilt within me continued to grow. The hunters had come here to find me, and my father's severe injury was a consequence of my actions.
"Is their base nearby?" I inquired.
Upon hearing this question, Aaron chuckled.
"It's very close. In fact, the reason I set up my hideout here is to observe their base from this location and gather new information. Based on my observations, there should be approximately twenty people in that base," Aaron said.
He also told me that their base looked much like the old warehouse we were in now. They had surrounded this old warehouse with an invisibility barrier, so people couldn't notice them.
"Tell the gang leaders to be here in an hour," I instructed.
Aaron nodded and went behind a cupboard, entering a hidden room to carry out my request.
In the meantime, John and I were left alone. John looked at me with an expressionless face and asked, "What do you want me to do?"
"I'll give super soldier serum to the two district leaders and Aaron to help them protect their territories. While they safeguard their areas, you and I will find the hunters' main base," I said.
Upon hearing my words, John nodded as if he had anticipated this and walked towards the door of the warehouse. Just as I was about to ask why he was going outside, I noticed him taking out a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it.
At this moment, there was nothing else I could do but wait, so I used telekinesis to pull a chair toward me and sat down. To pass the time, I took out my phone and browsed the internet.

After Tony Stark announced that he wouldn't produce weapons, the company's stock had plummeted dramatically. If I wanted to make some money, I needed to invest all my savings in his company. But before doing that, I had to get rid of the hunters. When I found their leaders, I would make them regret their existence.
As I was engrossed in my phone, an hour passed quickly, and I heard the sound of two cars outside the warehouse. Frank and Arthur entered the warehouse with smiles on their faces and stood in front of me.
As they entered, Aaron also emerged from the hidden room and came over to us. I retrieved three super soldier serums from the system depot and gave one to each of them.
"Now, use it," I said.
The three of them used the serum by injecting it into their necks without questioning what it was. After some dizziness, all three of them passed out.
Using telekinesis, I moved them into the hidden room and then exited the warehouse. John was waiting outside, smoking a cigarette.
"Are we going?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied.
He smiled and said, "I can't wait to test my new power."
The two of us got into a car and arrived at a warehouse just five minutes away. I could have arrived faster by turning into mist, but that would leave John behind.
The warehouse looked quite normal from the outside. The tattoos on my arms glowed, and they transformed into the blades of chaos.
I fueled the blades of chaos with my flames, causing them to ignite. After feeding the blades enough, I leaped towards the warehouse and hurled the blades downward.
As I crossed a barrier, my entire perspective changed. The place that used to appear as an ordinary warehouse had transformed into a base with twenty people inside.
Chains extended, and when the blades hit the ground, a massive explosion occurred, sending the men around them flying.
I descended and swung the blades of chaos, beheading a man. Another man, upon seeing me, pointed an arbalest at me and fired. The arbalest was far from ordinary, and the arrow it shot was charged with lightning.
Just as the arrow was about to hit me, it halted in mid-air, made an 180-degree turn, and quickly struck the man who had fired it. The event resulted in a lightning explosion that led to the man's death. I didn't need to use my hands to employ telekinesis and pyrokinesis. I could perform both powers with just my thoughts, but using my hands allowed for more powerful attacks.
Meanwhile, three individuals were rushing towards me. They held shields in their left hands and short swords in their right hands. Their weapons were charged with lightning, just like the arrow a moment ago.
As the men approached me, John dashed in from the side and struck one of them in the head with his shield, killing him. He took the dead man's short sword and hurled it into the head of another man. The sword hit its mark, killing him too. The last man threw his sword at John.
John blocked the attack with his shield, but the subsequent lightning explosion caused him to drop to one knee. He swung his shield, knocking the man's sword out of his hand, then pounced on him, wrestled him to the ground, and started punching his head. After just five punches, the man was dead. I nodded in approval. John was already strong, and with the super soldier serum, he had become even more powerful.
I stopped watching him and turned my attention to other hunters. Every swing of the blades of chaos resulted in the death of one hunter. Thanks to my telekinesis power, none of the hunters could even come close to me.
The blades of chaos were charging with my flames with each swing, causing significant fire explosions with each strike.
It took only five minutes to clear the warehouse with John's help. Afterward, we went to where the weapons were stored and examined them. The weapons were high-tech and would play a significant role in the expansion of my gang.
After inspecting the ammunition, we approached a table with a computer. The computer was on, and it displayed the locations of three other hunter bases nearby.
"When we destroy all the bases, the gang will make significant technological advancements," John remarked.
He was right; even in a base with just twenty people, there was a considerable amount of equipment. Larger hunter bases were likely to have even more.
*I should tell Aaron to find skilled engineers,* I thought. With talented engineers on our side, we could further enhance this equipment. John placed all the equipment in a large box and carried it on his back as we exited the warehouse.
When John left the warehouse, the stone beneath my feet rapidly started melting, turning into magma that swiftly spread to engulf the entire warehouse. As the warehouse began to collapse, I leaped out, and together with John, we left the scene.
Five minutes after we left, the warehouse turned into a pool of magma. We left no trace behind.
Upon our return to our base, John placed the equipment box he was carrying on the ground and sat in a chair. The equipment box was too large to fit in a car, so we had to walk.
In reality, I could have used telekinesis to carry the box, but I didn't want to draw unnecessary attention. In fact, each time I gained more power, my arrogance seemed to increase. When I first arrived in this world, I was extremely cautious and went to great lengths to conceal my identity. Now, I wasn't even wearing a mask, let alone hiding my identity.
As I thought about this, I couldn't help but feel a sense of self-reproach. If one suddenly ascended to the top, it could lead to arrogance. That was exactly what had happened to me. I arrived in this world and rapidly gained immense power, naturally leading to an increase in my arrogance.
It was already nighttime, and I didn't want Gwen to wake up and wonder where I was. Aaron and the district leaders would probably wake up tomorrow.
"I'm going, stay here and protect them," I told John.
John nodded and lit a cigarette. As I exited the warehouse, I could "hear" him waving to me, at least, I assumed he was waving by the sound of the wind.
When I left the warehouse, I turned my body into mist and flew home. I saw through Gwen's window that she was asleep, and I flew into my room through the open window. When I entered my room, the mists converged and reformed my body. I didn't even bother changing my clothes, I just jumped onto the bed and fell asleep.
