30-Gwen?
I returned to the warehouse and, by entering from the roof, reconstructed my body. Spider-Woman was very persistent. It's no wonder Gwen loves her; their personalities are similar.
There was no one in the warehouse. I sat in a chair, waiting for John, and opened my phone. Stark Industries was in a major downfall.
*I should help Tony Stark finish the suit soon,* I thought.
In fact, I could make a lot of money by assisting Tony Stark. It would be easy for me. I put this idea in the back of my mind and closed my phone.
About fifteen minutes later, John arrived at the warehouse with a large case on his back. He dragged the case and left it in the secret room of the warehouse.
John had been sleeping in the warehouse since he came to this world. I took some money out of my pocket and handed it to him.
"There's a hotel nearby. You should stay there from now on and get yourself a phone," I said.
John took the money I offered him without any hesitation and put it in his pocket.
"I thought you'd never give me anything," he said, with a smile on his face.
I smiled guiltily when I heard his words. John probably expected me to give him money ever since he came.
"This world will become dangerous soon," I said.
When John heard my words, his smile turned into a serious expression.
"Now you're foreseeing my future too," he said.
I didn't respond to his words and turned my body into mist, leaving the warehouse.
As John watched me leave, he had a disgusted expression on his face and said, "I still can't get used to this."
Flying through the air at full speed, I decided to test the speed limit. I estimated that my speed in human form could be compared to a racing car. In the form of a fire giant, my speed increased tenfold.
After testing my speed, I slowed down and enjoyed the freedom of flying in the air.
When I arrived home, Gwen wasn't inside. I entered through the window, merged with the mist, and reconstituted my body. It was getting late, and Gwen wasn't at home.
I picked up my phone and was about to call her when my phone rang. The caller was Aaron. I answered the phone and spoke.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Boss, Kraven has appeared. He's fighting with Spider-Woman and Spider-Man. I've already sent you their location," he said.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
When I heard those words, I was momentarily surprised, then anger surged within me. I ended the call and checked the location Aaron had sent me.
I transformed my body into mist and flew at full speed toward the area where Kraven was.
When I arrived at the location of the battle, a large factory was on fire. The factory resembled the hunter base we had cleaned out earlier today. The entire factory was ablaze, and police cars had gathered outside.
To witness the battle, I entered through a window of the factory and advanced towards the center. When I reached the center, I saw Kraven fighting with two spiders.
I decided to watch for a while, so I waited in a corner. It was clear that Kraven was battling the two spiders.
As they fought, the hunters around them were intervening in the battle, putting the two spiders in a difficult situation.
-
Gwen and Miles were putting in a great effort to resist Kraven, but he seemed to not take them seriously.
Kraven held a large shield in his left hand and a long spear in his right.
Miles fired a spider web at Kraven's leg to restrict his movements, but Kraven, with quick reflexes, caught the web and pulled it towards himself.
With the force of the web pulling, Miles rapidly approached Kraven. As Kraven was about to thrust his spear into Miles' chest, Gwen grabbed Miles and tossed him aside.
It wasn't just the struggle with Kraven that made their situation challenging, but there were hundreds of hunters around them, all of whom were pressuring them.
While on the ground, a hunter aimed a crossbow at them and fired. The lightning bolt arrow was about to hit Miles in the head when Gwen shielded him with her arm, and the arrow struck Gwen's arm.
"Ughh!" Gwen groaned in pain as she held the arrow, and as she was about to pull it out, the arrow started to glow. Seeing this, Miles absorbed the electrical energy before the arrow could explode.
Kraven smiled upon witnessing Miles absorbing the electricity. "You have interesting abilities, but you don't know how to use them well," Kraven said. "I came here for the masked man, and I encountered you two. I thought I could have some fun at first, but it seems that won't be the case."
After saying these words, Kraven made a gesture with his hand. When the surrounding hunters saw this gesture, they all attacked Gwen and Miles simultaneously.
Upon seeing the arrows coming towards them, both of them thought they wouldn't make it out of here alive. Just at that moment, something inside Miles awakened and tried to break free.
Miles was surprised when he felt this sensation but decided to let it loose. He opened his hands and screamed, "AAAHHHH."
As he screamed, blue electrical sparks erupted from his body, detonating every incoming arrow in mid-air, protecting them.
Gwen, Kraven, and Derek were astonished when they witnessed this event. Miles, exhausted from the attack, knelt on one knee. Kraven seized this opportunity and charged towards Miles.
Gwen threw a web into the air and was about to escape with Miles, but Kraven threw his shield, cutting through the web. Gwen and Miles fell to the ground in front of Kraven.
Kraven bent down and lifted Miles by the neck. Miles was too exhausted to struggle.
"Is this all you can do?" Kraven asked and removed Miles' mask.
When Kraven took off Miles' mask, he was greatly shocked to see Miles' young face. "I knew you were young, but I didn't expect you to be this young. You're brave, but this time you've messed with the wrong person," he said and choked Miles.
Another person who was shocked while witnessing this scene was Derek. When he saw that Spider-Man was Miles, he had a major shock. He even forgot to breathe for a moment.
Derek was so shocked that he couldn't even think about going to rescue Miles. However, even if he didn't think about it, someone else was considering rescuing Miles. Gwen got up from the ground and swiftly attacked Kraven.
Kraven didn't expect Gwen to attack him, so he was vulnerable. Gwen jumped and delivered a powerful kick to Kraven's head. Kraven was shaken a bit by this kick, and his grip loosened.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Miles freed himself from Kraven's grasp and fell to the ground. Kraven, in anger, threw a punch at Gwen, causing her to slam into the wall behind her.
"You two kids are quite annoying," Kraven said and quickly threw his spear at Gwen.
The impact was intense, and Gwen's body was numb. As the spear approached her, her spider senses were warning her, but there was nothing she could do.
Seeing Gwen not escaping, Miles screamed at the top of his lungs, "No! Gwen!"
Derek's world froze upon hearing these words as he watched the battle from the shadows.
*Gwen?* he asked himself. Some pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. Gwen not being at home, arriving tired...
With a great fear that something might happen to Gwen, Derek pointed his hand towards the spear in the air, leaping down to the floor where the battle was taking place.
His hands were trembling with fear, so focused on Gwen that he didn't notice the warning of the foresight rune. A two-meter-long spear flew rapidly toward him and pierced his chest.
The spear came so fast that, despite the efforts of the defense rune, it pierced Derek's skin, exiting from his back. Derek was thrown back and slammed into the wall behind him.
