The group of cultivators that left the cultist base was quickly eliminated by Zack's group without giving them any chance of defending themselves, with the only survivor being the man that they had previously captured.
Seeing that all the other cultists that came with him were already dead, the man tried to get himself out of that place.
"Well, I have already done my part, so erase this mark from my back so I can get out of here." the man demanded.
"Before doing that, Have you ever used the lives of innocent people to boost your cultivation? " Zack asked seriously.
As he was asked that, the man realized that maybe getting away may not be so easy, and his face quickly changed into one of fear.
"No, of course not. I would never do that, "the man quickly replied.
"Are you sure about that?" Zack asked while arching an eyebrow."Remember that if you lie to us, you may explode."
"Well, I did it a few times, but it was only because one of the cult elders forced me to do it. If it wasn't for the fact that my life was in danger, I would never have done something like that. You must believe me." the man tried to convince Zack.
"Well, I only see one way to resolve this: by using Justice," Zack said solemnly.
After hearing Zack's words, the man felt relieved for a few seconds before watching how Zack unsheathed his longsword.
"What... what are you doing? Didn't you see that you would use justice? I'm the victim here. You should help me, "the man asked with his eyes wide open.
"You know, this is my favorite sword. I have been using it since the day I got my hands on it." Zack said smiling as he showed the man the word "justice" inscribed on the sword's blade.
Seeing that danger was nearing, the man tried to run from Zack to save his life, but before he could do anything, Zack quickly got by his side and, with a swift movement, stabbed the man in the chest.

"I love gifts, guys. I think I'm going to use it until the day of my death. " Zack said to his men, as he cleaned the blood from his sword.
After that, the group began to plan how they were going to attack the cultist's base.
"Ok, with this, if the information that this man had to give us is true, there should be only sixteen cultists inside the base. We are still at a numerical disadvantage, but they should be weaker than us, so if we strike fast and without letting them prepare, I think we can end this pretty easily. " Zack said as he looked in the direction of the enemy's base.
The enemy base was just a small stone tower that was placed between a few trees so it wouldn't be too visible. By looking at the size of the tower and giving the number of people that should be inside, the group assumed that there should be an underground area and that the tower should only be the entrance.
The group began to get closer to the tower little by little while making sure that they were not discovered, and in a few minutes, they were just a few hundred meters away.
"The structure seems old, but it should resist for a while, but the main door seems to be made of rotten wood, so I think that it wouldn't be very difficult to just break it and get inside," said one of Zack's men as he observed the tower.
"It looks like it has three floors, so I will suggest splitting up if at the end there truly is an underground area. That way, half of the team can go up and eliminate any cultists that they find while the other half waits at the entrance, so no one can get out of the tower. When the group that ascended returns, they will switch roles, and the group that was waiting will go to the underground area. " Zack suggested
"Seems like a good plan to me." said one of his men.
"Me too. Let's do that, "another man said.
After everyone gave their approval to the plan, they all began to dash toward the tower, and when they got just in front of it, one of Zack's men used his two-hand ax to hit the wooden door to try to open it. After the first hit, the ax got stuck on the wood, but before releasing it, flames began to surge from the weapon, which burned down the door in no time.
Without a door to block the group's advancement, they entered the tower to find four hooded cultists. They were shocked, as they didn't expect someone to suddenly burn down the door to get inside.
Before they could react, a few of Zack's men jumped toward them and quickly eliminated them before they could call for help.
"Four less, twelve to go," Zack said as he inspected the room.
There wasn't much on the ground level apart from a few tables with chairs that seemed to be used for eating, so the group quickly located both the ladders to go up and down.
"Half of you stay here. The other half, come with me, let's get to the top of this. " Zack said as he began to climb the ladders that went upstairs.
