Chapter 1

Axel pulled down his pants and sat down on the toilet. With his phone in his hands, he began watching a streamed battle.

"…and now the army of Kargantos is surrounding Vinx's army so he can't make use of the ability of the lances of his infantry. For those who do not know, Vinx's lances have the skill to shoot beams of mental energy that can pierce multiple enemies if they are in a straight line, so the best way to avoid most of the damage is to spread the troops, so every beam hits just one of your soldiers…" said one of the commentators.

With his eyes, wide open Axel observed how the two armies crashed and began to reduce their numbers little by little. As he saw everything that was happening, the only thought that crossed his mind was "how the hell did these guys get their world that amazing?"

He continued watching the battle until it finished.

When it was over, he put his phone on the floor and pressed both his temples with his fingers. With that gesture, little by little the aerial image of an island began to appear in his mind.

The image began to zoom in until a primitive village was seen. It wasn't big, not more than twenty huts and without any kind of defense. It was settled in a plain, with a forest and a river near so the main sources of food were fishing and hunting.

There were a few more villages like that one across the island, and there were more islands in the ocean, even if not every one of them had humans living in them.

This place was Axel's world. The time in that world ran at a different speed compared to the world where Axel lived, and even with that, because he had left his world almost untouched, nothing out of ordinary has happened.

"These months should have been hundreds or even thousands of years for you. How it is that you are not even in the age of metals?" Axel thought angrily while disregarding everything he knew about prehistory. "Maybe I should make you work harder… You know, with adversity comes opportunity."

With that said, the image that he was seeing began to change and a shiny sphere began to appear instead. This sphere was half a meter high and had most of its surface covered with an intricate web of lines and shapes that created what seemed to be runes.

This sphere was the core of Axel's world and every single line had a meaning and a function in the maintenance and laws of the world.

In the middle of all this chaos of lines, there were three circular blank spaces.

"So, according to the tutorials that I have seen on YouTube, now I need to redirect part of the energy of the world to one of those spaces while describing the new rules that I want to add to the world. With this, I will create my first add-on."

Suddenly, the brightness of the sphere began to weaken while it concentrated in one of those blank spaces.

"The creatures of this world will be able to absorb the energy in the environment to strengthen themselves" Axel began to narrate. "The ability to do this will vary between individuals, but this will become a trait that can be partially passed down to the descendants. The animal and plants of this world will do this intuitively, and when they pass certain thresholds, they will break through and become something else. They will gain new abilities, new body parts, and new characteristics. Meanwhile, humans will need to learn how to do this, they will pass down their knowledge and create techniques that will allow them to match the threats that the other creatures of the world will become in the distant future. And… that should be enough."

While Axel was saying everything, a few shiny lines began to appear in the space where the energy was concentrated, forming what seemed to be a rune that did not have even the ten percent of the complexity of the other runes. When this rune was formed, the remaining energy created a line that connected it to the web and dissipated into the sphere again.

Even with the reabsorption of the remaining energy, the sphere did not regain even a fifth of the shine that it originally had.

"Well, this should be enough. You have a new challenge and the tools to solve it, I hope that you can do it" said Axel while he looked at the newly created add-on.

Suddenly everything become foggy, and Axel reappeared in his bath. He cleaned himself, pulled his pants up, and left the bathroom while he began to look at his phone again.
