Chapter 116

After receiving the convergence gem, Axel continued talking with the others for some time. Even though most of the topics they spoke about were related to worldbuilding, they still talked about their pasts and lives.

After a few hours, he decided to leave.

"Well, I guess it is time for me to leave already," he said." I had a great time. See you around for the next rift."

"Let us know when you are ready to take part in another one. And luck when you use that gem." Mark said.

"And don't create your new add-on mindlessly. Study your world and the creatures inside it before doing it." George said.

"That's my plan." Axel said with a smile before walking toward the bar's door." Until next time."

After that, Axel left the bar and went home. Because his house wasn't too far, he decided to go walking. Just as he got home, he received a message.

"Hey, man. Adam and I are planning to go to a worldbuilding convention that is celebrated in town the day after tomorrow. It is the first of its kind, so there won't be a lot of people, but I heard there are going to be a few professional worldbuilders and that they are going to be answering questions from the public, so it could be interesting. Let me know if you are interested." Axel read William's message.

'That sounds kind of interesting.' Axel thought.

"Ok, count with me." He replied with a message, "Tell me the details as soon as you know."

After that, he went directly to his room and lay down on his bed before closing his eyes. After focusing for a second, the image of his world's core appeared in his mind. There was a ball of black and white energy floating around it.

He extended his arm to grab it before looking at his core.

'According to Mark's words, most people use the convergence gems to fuse two add-ons that had originally been a single one. If I'm not mistaken, that's what happened to my reincarnation add-on. Because Heaven began to make every soul inside my world reincarnate, her add-on became too big for the core at the time, so it broke into two different add-ons. But now my world has reached rank 1, so there shouldn't be any problem in fusing them.' Axel thought.

With the ball energy in his hand, he squeezed it before it broke into two halves, each with its own color. Then, he neared the black part toward Heaven's rune and the white part toward the reincarnation's ad-on.

As soon as the two parts touched the add-ons, strings of energy appeared connecting them, and the lines that formed the reincarnation's rune began to shake violently.

Little by little, the reincarnation's rune began to fragment as the lines moved toward the energy strings before being absorbed and transported toward the other rune.

Heaven's rune began to shift its form, as each time it received a new line, it reorganized its whole structure to find the perfect spot for its new addition.

The process continued for a few seconds until the spot where the reincarnation's rune stood empty.

"Heaven, are you still able to control the reincarnation cycles as before?" Axel asked.

"Yes, I'm still able to use the same functions as before the fusion of the two add-ons," she replied.

"Perfect," Axel said with a smile before looking at the empty spot on his core. "The question now is what to do with that."

He stood still for a few minutes while thinking, but he gave up soon after.

'I shouldn't aim to create the next add-on so soon. I should think it carefully before wasting that slot.' he thought.

Then, he changed his view to look at his world and began to inspect it.

For a few hours, he looked at the people inside but soon realized that he wasn't being very efficient.

'Even if time goes slower here, it still feels too much like a waste of time to look at a person. Maybe I should do something so I could look at all of them at once. After all, I'm the god of this world, I should be omnipresent.' he thought.

He returned in front of his core and looked at the empty slot before denying it with his head.

'That would be counterproductive.'

Then he looked at the new Heaven's add-on. Even though it was much bigger than before, it still had a little space before covering all the space available.

'There should be enough space for a few more subs before it becomes full, so I think I can improvise something with it.'
