Before Xan reacted, Gren dashed toward him like a bull, tackling him out of the circle in a single move.
He landed on his ass a meter away from the circle, where he sat on the ground for a few seconds as he tried to understand everything that had happened.
"Are you ok? Have you hurt yourself?" Gren asked as he offered his hand to Xan.
"I'm alright. I didn't expect the battle to end so quickly." Xan replied, laughing as he grabbed Gren's hand to help him stand up."Let's do it again. I can't let you beat me so easily."
Like that, Gren and Xan continued fighting for a while.
In the first dozens of times, Xan couldn't do anything as Gren would use his superior strength to get him out of the circle without any resistance. But after that, Xan began to learn about his strengths and weaknesses, as well as Gren's.
Because of the difference in size, Xan was much more agile than Gren, which allowed him to dodge his attacks most of the time and take advantage when Gren lost balance to counterattack.
Thanks to that strategy, Xan managed to win a match.
Most people had already left the courtyard at that point, and only a few couples remained there while practicing.
The two sat on the ground to talk, exhausted from the training.
"Great job, man. It's been a great fight. How you learned from the battle and adapted over time was incredible." Gren said as he laughed.
"Don't talk as I was the great winner. I just managed to push you out of the circle once, and it was because you lost balance," Xan said as he scratched the back of his head. "Compared to your incredible strength, my abilities are useless."

"Don't say that. You are agile and nimble. I'm sure you will become a great warrior once you advance in your cultivation. You just need to find your style," Gren said.
"I hope you are right," Xan replied while laughing.
After that, they decided to leave the courtyard, as most of the class' pupils had already left.
Before leaving, Xan exchanged a look with Rad, who continued teaching the kids about their cultivation.
As he left, Xan couldn't help but think about Gren.
During his life, Xan hasn't managed to make a lot of friends, so every time he meets someone new who is interesting, he tries to befriend him.
And as far as he managed to see, Gren seemed like a good guy. He always asked Xan if he was ok on the many times he had hit the ground and even helped him to stand up, and in general, he was respectful each time he talked with Xan.
With that being the case, Xan would approach Gren slowly, talking with him each time they met at Rad's classes until they became friends.
Or at least that was the plan.
Anyway, he had many important matters to take care of, such as continuing cultivating until he managed to clean his dantian.
As soon as he arrived at his room, he prepared to launch with the magical food Rad had brought him. Without a doubt, that was Rad's favorite moment of the day. Not only were those ingredients delicious, but they also allowed him to cultivate even more than usual.
Once he finished his lunch, he sat on the ground cross-legged and started cultivating.
The energy flowed through his body from his lungs to his dantian, where he used it to clean the impurities inside it. At that point, cultivating was as easy as breathing for him, so Xan continued for a few hours before resting.
Expending all the energy on his dantian had some good things and some bad. For example, if he had improved his body at the same time he cleaned his dantian, he would see his stamina increase, which would end up taking more hours to cultivate.
But Xan didn't allow himself to fall into those thoughts and ideas.
After all, he wasn't far from cleaning his dantian, and from that point onwards, he would be able to cultivate his body much faster than he would be able to do it right now, so the smart move would be to wait.
'I just need to continue for a day or two before officially becoming a cultivator.' Xan thought with a smile.
