They stared back, looking directly into Gar's soul and mind. Nothing could hide from all those horrendous gazes.
Each cell in his body was screaming at him to stop looking at them, but he found himself unable to do so as if his eyes were glued to that abomination.
Gar's thoughts began to wander as whispers sounded in his head, and each of them made him lose a bit more of his sanity.
"You are doomed."
"You are weak."
"You should surrender to our power."
"You can do nothing against the grand Thligudhra."
At his side, Arthur was resisting with all his mental strength the mental attacks that the eyes were sending at him, but when he noticed that his friend was completely hypnotized by the light that was coming from the ball of eyes, he quickly created a barrier of energy above them, so they wouldn't look at them directly.
Sadly for him, he acted too late, and when he looked at Gar's face, a third eye appeared on his forehead while both his normal eyes had turned completely white.
"Are you still there?" Arthur asked while stepping back towards the exit as he began to accumulate energy in his hands.
"I'm better than I have ever been in all my life. I... I have seen it, the path towards the next rank. " Gar said this while bursting into laughter while all the tattoos around his body began to shine with dark energy.
Suddenly, Gar's body began to change. Dark scales began to appear around his body, covering his skin. His muscles, which were already enormous, began to grow, gaining another size while his veins began to bulge with each one of his heartbeats. A pair of horns sprouted from his forehead, while four black wings appeared on his back, destroying the upper half of his clothing.
After finishing his metamorphosis, he stopped for a few seconds while observing his new body.
"You see? With the help of my new master, I have managed to overcome the limits of the human body, and when I manage to completely fuse the power of my tattoos onto my new body, I will become completely invincible. At that point, I would be able to bring this great blessing to our world as it had happened in this one. " Gar says this with a grim smile.

"Gar, think about what you are saying. You are strong enough to overcome the corruption brought on by those eyes, and you must not succumb to its power. If you do what you are saying, our world will fall into chaos and a lot of our people will die. " Arthur tried to convince his friend to change his mind.
After hearing his companion's words, Gar's face turned into one of anger before jumping toward Arthur while his body began to release dark energy all around him.
Seeing this, Arthur released a few energy bolts toward Gar before retreating and starting to go down the mall. Arthur's attacks did almost nothing to his friend's body, so they both began to run downstairs while exchanging attacks, with Arthur throwing projectiles made of energy while Gar used air slashes made of dark energy.
After a few floors, Arthur began to feel how his energy was beginning to run out.
"Come back to your mind, Gar. This is not you. We have been friends for more than thirty years. You can trust me. " Arthur shouted while blocking some of Gar's attacks.
Suddenly, a dark scythe traversed Arthur's chest.
"Well, I guess our friendship ends here," Gar said seriously as he dropped Arthur's body to the ground.
While this was happening, two people appeared through the stairs, who were Denise and Cyrus.
"Be careful, he is not the Gar we knew..."Arthur tried to tell his companions
"What the hell is happening here?" Denise asked incredulously as he saw the scene before his eyes.
As for Cyrus, without thinking about it twice, he grabbed his swords and released various air slashes aimed toward Gar's head, which he blocked without many complications.
"You know, I'm capable of doing exactly the same thing," Gar said while smiling, before releasing a few dark air slashes toward both Cyrus and Denise.
Both of them reacted by blocking those attacks, but they felt that they were extremely powerful. Seeing how they had a difficult time blocking those attacks, Gar burst into laughter.
"You know, little girl. When your grandmother discovered the elemental energy, she made sure to get the arms of the beast that they killed, so not only did she get information to create new powerful techniques, but she also got special weapons capable of using elemental energy without much difficulty. " Gar explained.
"I know, she told me that story when I was a kid." She replied as she began to prepare more attacks.
"But I don't think that she told you all the story. When they killed that air-cutting mantis, my uncle, the great Naz, was there too. He managed to get something much more important than a weapon or some technique. With that beast's heart, he created the most powerful tattoos that our tribe had ever seen, and with them, he climbed to the top until he became the leader of our village. " Gar explained.
After hearing those words, both Denise and Cyrus' eyes became wide open, as they didn't expect to hear something like that.
"Not only that, but he passed that tattoo down to me," Gar laughed as two dark air scythes appeared on his arms. "Now, we are going to see which one managed to get stronger from that hunt: the one who got the technique and the weapons, or the one that got the blood of the beast?"
