After returning to the fortress, Xan decided to spend his time advancing his cultivation all he could.
Cleaning his dantian would only benefit him, as it would make him stronger and allow him to learn much more advanced techniques than the ones he could use right now.
'I should focus all my strength on cultivating. After all, only by getting high cultivation would I be able to do whatever I want.' Xan thought as he stepped into his room.
Without wasting a second, he sat on his bed cross-legged and began his respiration technique.
At that point, Xan had already mastered it to the point where he could do it instinctively. But that also came with some bad things, such as that cultivating had become boring to him. After all, before, he had to focus on each step carefully, but now the attention required was minimal.
Nevertheless, Xan continued cultivating all the time his body and mind allowed him, and he would eat and sleep whenever he felt like it.
He spends the next thirty-six hours like that in a continuous cycle of cultivation and rest.
During this training period, he cooked some of Rad's food had brought him, and the effects were almost immediate. When cultivating after eating meals from the magical beast, he would feel how his digestive system absorbed the energy from it, from where he would have to guide it toward his dantian.
This effect would last a few hours after eating, and as it forced Xan to focus on another energy source, it was not as dull as simply cultivating.
When he finished the cultivation session, Xan decided to leave his room and walk. One of the things Rad had told him was that he shouldn't seclude himself for long periods, especially while he was still young.

He hadn't explained to him exactly why, but if Xan had learned something in this little time with him, it was that Rad was an incredible cultivator, and if he said that he shouldn't do something, he would follow his words as if they were the law.
After all, if he managed to become half as strong as he was, Xan knew that he would already have enough freedom to do whatever he wanted.
When leaving his room, he thought about going outside the fortress again, but in the end, he decided to tour through the second area.
While doing that, he saw a few groups of children talking about their cultivation.
"At this pace, I will get my dantian cleaned in a month!" one of them said excitedly.
"So slow? I will do it in fifteen days!" another said.
"Then I will do it in ten!" a third one said.
Hearing those words, Xan couldn't help but smile widely. He kept pace much faster than the rest of the kids, thanks to Rad's private lessons and resources. If he continued with the same speed as until now, he believed he would get his dantian cleaned in three days.
After all, while the others absorbed energy equitably through his body, he used all of it to clean his dantian. And even if he wasn't getting a stronger body right now, Rad had said that he could compensate for it quickly when he could use his dantian to cultivate much faster.
After some time, he returned to his room again, as the fortress needed to be more interesting to keep him entertained for a long time.
As he returned to his room, he met with the man who had opened the door the two times he had visited the area of the Iron Grain Family to ask for cultivation techniques from his mother's friend, Freya.
"What a coincidence. I was looking for you right now." the man said when he saw Xan as he showed an envelope." Lady Freya had asked me to bring you this letter.
"Oh, thank you." Xan replied, surprised." I will read it and reply as soon as I can."
As if he had already finished his job there, the man bowed slightly before turning around and leaving.
Xan continued with his path and returned to his room, where he opened the letter.
"Dear Xan. Are you still interested in getting a cultivation technique? After all, I heard that Rad had started teaching the kids about the second area cultivation, so you don't need it anymore. Even if you are not interested anymore, let me know if you ever need anything, and we will make a deal in exchange for those maps." Xan read the letter.
As he read that, he couldn't help but get angry as he remembered what had happened with his mother's maps.
'You will see, Blorg. I will make you repent for everything you have done me.' Xan thought decided.
