Blue was further impressed by the two new pawns he set in his party.
The Inquisitor and Diviner had been performing to his expectations and he mused that after this exam their student ranking will easily shoot up to top hundred.
With them receiving that rank all of the party members, or pawns, he now gathered was among the top hundred. This would further help in his plans for the remaining ten months in this academy.
That's right, he had made the decision to graduate within the first year.
This was what was expected of him and he also preferred to do so since he already got the noble's backing that he was aiming for from the start. That being said, it was still not satisfactory so there were further plans he needed to carry out which could squeeze out the maximum benefits out of Julie.
Back to the present, he followed the previous pattern and found another party who just finished their battle. He led his party to ambush them without any scrupulousness as a righteous Paladin.
There were preconceived notions that Paladin wouldn't conduct an ambush or anything backhanded like that but it was nothing but a fool's rambling.
Even without his true self giving a lecture to the ignorants, the academy teachers themselves lectured many times how all is fair on the battlefield as only life itself was precious. The Paladin teachers had already straightened out the young Paladins who had developed such a self-harming mindset.
A Paladin only punished the evil and stood on the side of the righteous and the weak but as for what means they should take to achieve the common goal was to their own discretion. As long as it didn't involve resorting to evil methods or harming the weak and feeble then it was all okay.
There was indeed much flexibility.
So the ambush was a success and the party of seven making up the opponent was eliminated without any casualty on his side.
There were ten parties that entered this time. He took down two of them and those two had taken down two more earlier. That reduced four parties and left six more surviving parties. As for other battles that might have broken out among the remaining parties it was safe to conclude that only three or four parties remained including themselves.
“We need to prepare for a battle where multiple parties might join at the same time. So be sure to keep this point in mind as the next battle wouldn't be the easy ones we had for the previous two.”
He reminded these newbie pawns and then got the Diviner to get him a divination for the direction. He naturally took the route where another party was located. He needed to show off his strength after all.
Even though he had been at it in the previous two fights, the comparison was unfavorable as those two parties had low numbers among them. This was not enough to truly show off all the investments Julie had eagerly been throwing at him.
The remaining parties were cream of the crop within the first year batch.
He had to eliminate them in such a overpowered way that Julie would grin from ear to ear after watching his performance. Who wouldn't like the plant they had been watering to finally bear fruit for them?
So with murder in his mind, he led his pawns ahead.
The sacrifices had been spotted and he promptly ordered the party to engage. He didn't overly break free from the formation as that would end up coming as a bit too eager to show off.
Instead he took the appropriate approach, blinding speed and terrifying efficiency.

Blue engaged a close range striker among the opponent party who was of Swordsman class. He clashed with a bident in hand against the sword, an overhyped weapon in his opinion. He showed off his vast superiority in main weapon mastery at that very moment.
He parried a horizontal sword slash before he vertically swung at that Swordsman within the near instance after the parry. The Swordsman couldn't react in time as the recoil from the parry had yet to subside before the vertical slash fell on her head.
An elimination right on the first exchange.
He didn't waste a moment before directly using Wailing Sanctum on the controller of the opponent party. His skill proficiency had naturally increased to a level where the mid range capability of this skill had reached a point where it appeared to the lower level players as if it had long range reach.
The controller got trapped and tried to get out of it only to end up heading in the direction of Luna's ambush thus another elimination in the first exchange.
He then engaged a defender who was also a Warden like the one in his party. The guy formed barriers of wooden vines around him to impede his movement but he used the movement skill Blight Sense to effortlessly tread through the thorny passage while his overall speed was shown to have increased by twofold.
As he made his way out he threw his bident at him which had become invisible in others perception. The Warden hurriedly defended himself after noticing his throwing gesture but unfortunately for him Blue's space element had become trickier as the thrown bident was about to impale him from the back, seemingly having teleported behind him.
It was even targeted at his heart area so the guy ended up getting teleported with much astonishment as he couldn’t understand why he got eliminated. After all, he never got impaled from it but the special facility deemed him to have been done for.
He further showed off his space element comprehension attainment.
He kept using Wailing Sanctum, the multifaceted defensive skill, on the long range strikers to make opportunities for his party to attack while he kept himself undefended from the projectiles.
The space around him was somewhat distorted as the projectiles got teleported behind him instead of harming him. Some of it even got cleverly redirected to those frontliners around him.
The fight continued and before they could decide on the winner another party joined on the battlefield thus making it more chaotic.
Having shown enough attribute comprehension, he then revealed more of his skill proficiency.
He again engaged with the new party's close combat striker while speedily moving about the battlefield without breaking the reorganized battle formation. He used Drain Touch on the snow the opponent stood on through the bident he threw.
The striker was puzzled as it seemed that he purposefully missed on his throw but the sudden rush of exhaustion and then finally being teleported away after receiving a roundhouse kick on the head gave that striker the realization that it was a skill effect that sapped the stamina.
It turned out that the bident that was thrown near him acted as the conduit for the skill effect to take place. Such a high proficiency of skill was already too vast for that striker to defend against.
After getting rid of that striker, Blue noticed that another party also joined them from the southwest side.
Including his party and the original opponent two more had joined thus making the total number of parties in the battlefield four now. Considering the previous party eliminations it was safe to assume that all the parties that still roamed the snowy tundra had gathered here at this moment.
“Now that everyone is here, isn't this the perfect time to show off the new skills I unlocked?”
He inwardly decided as the chaotic battlefield was the perfect place for him to shine radiantly with overwhelming dominance.
Upon reaching level 5, a player would unlock the first skill which would be a healing type. After unlocking the skill the player would need to work with that skill to increase its proficiency in tandem with gaining experience, which was for him being in combat, to keep leveling up. This was the reason why the level of 5 to 8 was called the First Skill Unlocking stage.
By doing so, at level 9 a new skill will be unlocked. From level 9 to 12 and then from level 13 to 16 it was similarly called the Second Skill Unlocking and Third Skill Unlocking stage respectively because the pattern a player had to follow for level up was the same as the First Skill Unlocking stage.
At level 9, the skill unlocked was a perception type. It was meant to further help the player on perceiving their surroundings from past the point of their usual perceptive senses.
At level 13, the skill unlocked was an enhancement type. This type of skill further enhanced a different skill for a limited amount of time for the player to unleash more of its effects past the attainment they had in it but a daily usage limit was present as the more that enhancement skill was used the further the stamina would be lost rapidly.
Blue obviously unlocked these two types of skill so it was now time to show off again.
