Chapter 46: First Lesson

Chapter 46: First Lesson

Before the lessons started Blue's life had been uneventful.

Chatting up with Nicole without being excessive, spending time in the club to familiarize with the club members, taking care of aether beasts in the habitats, Meeting Clara at night time when Laura exited the "Home skill", unloading in Karla whenever there was nothing else to do these were the routines for those days.

The egg was very close to hatching thanks to many of his investments on it by increasing the aether around it through rare resources from the subspace or placing it on precious materials that helped in incubation and such.

The infant inside the egg had sensed his efforts surprisingly thus its favorability point towards him increased. The previous 0 point signifying its unawareness of him skipped the 1-39 stages, whose dubbed name thus remained a mystery for him, as it instantly settled on 44 points which was apparently called "amiable" according to system.

It was good that his efforts hadn't been in vain. Imagine that the hatchling was hostile to him right from the start. He would have laughed from rage if that truly happened. He speculated that tomorrow the egg will hatch and he would find the mystery behind it.

With that the three day period to adjust to the academy ended and the lessons began.

°°°°

Five minutes before nine in the morning.

Blue arrived at the training ground of the Paladin class where most of the young Paladins were already present. Upon his arrival he was greeted by them and he also replied politely. Today's mood seemed to be serious as all the young adults were nervous for their first lesson in the path of a player.

At sharp nine, Walter the first Paladin, teacher appeared on the training ground.

He nodded his head when he found all the Paladins present. His eyes momentarily stopped at Blue and it became complex for a second but he only shook his head before starting off the lessons.

"Hoh, this guy has already gotten over Nicole pulling a fast on them?"

He thought inwardly as he listened to him. Walter revealed the schedule for the six teachers who will take turns teaching them everyday with a break once a week. Today was Walter's turn. He also talked about compulsory subjects and voluntary subjects while faintly mentioning recreational clubs. It seemed he wasn't a big fan of those. He then finally started the lessons on the Paladin class.

"All of you will start from the very basics. Discard anything you heard secondhand from others as it will only serve to further complicate your comprehension. During the awakening ceremony you had your aura vein awakened and thus was able to gain an aura attribute you had an affinity with. Either it be ordinary, extraordinary or… some other attribute it doesn't matter. All those who could sense the aura are very special since everybody's individuality is reflected by the aura, thus if two people had the same attribute there will be differences in the way they comprehend and utilized it."

"So, we should also talk about the class you got, Paladin class. A very rare class. Class is generally divided into combat and non-combat types, however the rarity of a particular class among the player society is divided into four grades. Common, rare, very rare and unique. Student Blue's Blight Paladin class is the example for an unique class. As the name suggests, a class of unique grade could only be one in existence."

"There is no need to feel dejected or elated over it as the grade of the class is only for the sake of statistics. What truly mattered for a player was their class skill proficiency, main weapon mastery, aura attribute comprehension and experience for level up."

After saying up to here he paused and looked deeply at the young Paladins to see if they were following properly. He asked if anybody had trouble following till here and was pleased that this batch seemed promising for now.

So he continued,

"Before you can even think about using your class skills or anything related to aura for that matter, your aura attribute comprehension needs to reach a certain height. For the next few days we will focus on this topic. You will follow the teachers instructions and suggestions so later you can use aura to activate the class skills. Now you need to understand something about class levels first before we begin the previous topic."

"For the students in the academy from first year to fifth year their class levels range from level 1 to 20. All those who have reached level 20 can graduate even if they don't have enough academy points. The more activities related to the class a player performs the higher their experience increases thus leading to a level up of their class and strength."

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

"From level 1 to 4 it is called the Class Activation stage as throughout these levels the player needs to focus more on aura attribute comprehension then anything else so they could use aura to activate the skills thus increase their levels by using those skills seamlessly with the aura."

Walter took a second to review the speech earlier to see if he excluded anything. When he didn't find anything wrong with it he then continued,

"Now that you have a better understanding of the goal let's talk about the original topic of aura attribute comprehension. It is divided into many stages but for the academy students whose highest level is only 20 you just need to remember three stages of it. Regular, Moderate and Adept stage. Each of these stages has four phases that indicate a minor completion. Early, middle, late and peak phase."

"All of you need to be at least in the early phase of the Regular stage to be able to use aura. That will be the main goal of this subject for the next few days. All those who can reach that phase within a week will get 10 academy points with the time limit being two weeks. The fastest to reach the early phase will get 50 academy points so make sure to study wholeheartedly."

After he finished the young Paladins gulped a little as they felt unsure if they could really achieve it when they were completely new at aura.

Blue on the other hand was calculating when it would be the perfect time to reveal it. He already knew that Status Window skill would be sneakily checked by them to confirm when a student had reached that phase. Because his was modified he could show whatever he wanted to them.

It was just that he needed to plan perfectly to show off here.

He didn't pay much attention to the aura attribute comprehension method that was being taught by Walter since he had his own ways to increase his space element comprehension. In his past life he had long since exceeded the Adept stage peak phase on the space attribute even though his aether attribute was Frost Flame.

At his status back in Inner Area of Abyss, comprehending the four elements was a priority since it could be used against him in many ways or he could use it against others. This preparedness had become a great boon for his new life. So instead of listening Walter's chattering he checked his modified Status Window skill,

Except for keeping the base stats, achievement and quest options untouched, the rest of it all had been modified by him. Even the social options name and age part had been modified so that it wouldn't end up showing his true name and age.

This skill was just that terrifying.

As he started pondering about some of his other plans that needed to be put in motion from on since the lessons had started properly for the first year students, two hours passed quickly and it was time for the next compulsory subject lessons.

The history.

He learned from Nicole that the history subject in the academy was divided into two sections each taking half an hour to complete. The first half was empire history and the second was the void history. He already knew more about history than even the oldest fossil in the academy could have known.

He was, after all, over three million years old.

Nonetheless he exited the training ground of Paladin with his "fellow peers" and teleported to the training ground common for all the first year students. Naturally given the total number of students the lesson was conducted in different parts throughout the massive training ground with each teacher presiding over five thousand students.

The academy surely didn't hold back from ensuring everyone's learning rights.
