Chapter 67: The Reincarnation Part 3

Chapter 67: The Reincarnation Part 3

Nicole was pleased in her conversation with the ninth rank student, Luna.

She had kept an eye on her and when Blue revealed to her that she wanted to have a proper conversation with her to figure out the matter regarding the preferred personal teacher choice reward she still hadn't used she understood that if she could impress her here then she was bound to have another excellent personal student and a potential recruit for her faction back in the Inner Area.

Surprisingly, she didn't have to put in much effort as Luna already agreed to choose her as the preferred personal teacher just after she answered her first question.

This inwardly made her suspicious as she finally noticed that the girl was not actually interested in her teachings but she just wanted to spend more time with Blue during these club hours. This irked her a bit and just as she was about to scold her for such insolence he went ahead to congratulate Luna and then he patted her shoulder as he said that she would surely not regret her decision to have chosen her as he also learned much from her.

With such praises being showered at her all of a sudden she decided to hold back from scolding as that would leave behind a sour mood right now.

She then realized something.

“It seems that she will also join Blue during club hours for her learning session. Then… could it be that he would be a bit restrained in her presence?”

She couldn't help but chuckle inwardly as she was used to his true personality for a while now. All of a sudden, she couldn't help but frown a bit as it made her feel as if she was back in the time when they just met where he always behaved too polite and courteous.

Within her, there was a sense of… lost.

As the sun began to set Blue was on his way to the clubhouse with Luna by his side as he conversed with her,

“It is great that you have settled this matter. The more you learn from her the better your journey will be on the path of a player.”

“After having talked with her for so long I also feel the same. She is truly a whole different person when you get to know her better.”

They chatted about Nicole for a bit and when he sensed the timing to be right he finally got to the point,

“Luna, I have to be a bit selfish with you. I hope you will overlook it just this once.”

“Hmm? What is it?”

“Sigh… I am aware that Karla doesn't particularly have a favorable impression of you for some reason. She kept being rude to you from time to time. I want to truly apologize to you on her behalf.”

“...”

Luna had a complicated expression on her face after he said those words in an apologetic tone with a face filled with helplessness. He made sure to show her that he was aware of their altercations but still didn't know the reason for it being himself.

Indeed, he played the dense character.

Back when he used to raid the Tian Dao Continent he actually came across many such instances where some cultivators with women all around them would keep being oblivious to the fact that those girls were gathering around him for his attention or affection.

This situation greatly amused him at that time as he considered the Tian Dao Continent a hotbed for cliches seen throughout many literary works he read in his past time back at the Abyss. There were four women among his lovers who were dedicated to the art of literature and their works were extremely popular throughout the Inner Area of the Abyss.

Even that old man who came searching for the system from the Core Area took a keen interest in those literatures. Blue, or Azure Limbo of that time, received information from those quartet that the old man was willing to take them in the Core Area after he found what he was looking for.

Unfortunately, Blue was the one who got it and now was stuck in the Parallel Void.

He wondered what was happening back in the original Endless Void. His disappearance could have caused a disaster for his women as the old man might detain them or do something drastic to get to him if not for the fact that they were all abyss spawns. It hadn't even been a decade since he disappeared and the perception of time by abyss spawns standard was easily up to centuries as the norm.

There was still some time left for him but that never diminished his zeal to get to them a moment faster. They were all his entire life's accumulation after all.

Back to the present, his dense character persona brought about the desired result as she replied in a calm tone,

“Please don't apologize for her. I now understand that our matters have troubled you for a while. The misunderstandings we have among us will be sorted out when I have a good talk with her tomorrow. So don't feel any burden over it.”

“… Thank you. I am sure that both of you will resolve all the issues.”

He replied in a relieved tone as if he was truly happy that both of them wouldn't be in a bad term anymore. Actually, he indeed was a bit satisfied with this result. Luna being conquered at this point was inevitable and Karla had to abandon her possessive mentality as his plans would be severely hampered because of it.

To change the “first” lover's mindset, he had sent out Luna to do his bidding. After all, the oh so perfect individual admired by all was feeling stressed because of their bickering. How could their young minds attuned to his well-being keep continuing such “harmful’’ behavior?

As he kept conversing with her he took a good look at this reincarnator while pondering about the visage she had back in her past life as Enshrouded Blade.

At present, Luna was a young adult in her eighteen. Her height was tall and her curves were modest while the three sizes were on the larger side. Her skin was fair but slightly tanned like his. Her blonde hair flowed gently behind her slim back. Her eyes were deep blue and her eyelashes long, eyebrows slim. Her nose was sharp while her lips were thick and pink red. She wore a black top along with skin tight gray leggings which greatly showed off her assets.

This appearance was obviously something that differed from her past life but considering that she was also an Assassin class who were all particular about secrecy and such even in their day to day life any such implications from her current visage could be discarded for now.

That being said her five weaknesses and also other four elemental methods might give her away upon being scrutinized just like how he got to her real identity. Yet he wouldn't make a move to do what he did with the trio of Laura, Karla and Clara.

As a core denizen and on top of that a famous individual to even be going around with a title she had frightening means even when she had been reduced to her current state. When her past memory unlocks she would no doubt notice the arrangements he had placed on her as all of it were at best someone at his capability of a top powerhouse in just an Inner Area managed to gather after dedicating many years of effort.

The methods of a core denizen was near unfathomable even to him so he wouldn't go out of his way to dig his own grave just fix up his sixth weakness over her.

He also had to be extra careful about his behavior and conducts when around her as when she got her past memory unlocked she was bound to review every interaction he had with her from the new perspective of a core denizen.

His slight flaws and the way he got her to do his biddings couldn't be hidden from her aged astuteness who had vast life experiences. So in order to fool even that true self of hers that was bound to resurface in the short future he had to firmly get his persona, behavioral settings, expressions and even the small habits all solid without even a bit of crack on it.

It was concluded by him that she would gain her past memory during the first exchange event as the system specifically set that period as the time limit for this side mission.

A daunting task but what was life without a challenge, though he would prefer not having a challenge. Unfortunately for him with a core denizen by his side from this point on he had to up his acting intensity as he was aware that even without an innate ability, bloodline ability or a class skill those who reached such a height, just like that Enshrouded Blade, would have a natural sixth sense that gave them near accurate view of others true character.

He previously was unaware of the existence of innate abilities till the system informed his own but he was above 90% certain that Luna's true self was aware of such things as there was no way that even a core denizen who, from his perspective, seemed terrifying was also just like him lived his life in ignorance.

Though the system revealed her innate ability being Time Sanctuary but that was just what she got in this life but what if she had an innate ability in her past that also carried over in the present life. With her past self's means surely such a thing wasn't impossible, right? Or at least he took caution while pondering about such.

His innate ability Premonition was something that never targeted others but himself instead so if others had some kind of detection means against four elemental methods upon themselves then they would remain oblivious as the ability’s effect was himself not others so similarly if Luna's potential second innate ability also followed the same category and it was also related to four elements just like her current one that was time element then she would be too formidable to keep deceiving on as he might be kept in the dark since his Primordial Auditor wouldn't detect anything from her.

He hoped that he was just overthinking and it wasn't anything like anti-deception ability or something. Then he would truly be toasted. He put these thoughts on the back of his head as it turned into borderline paranoia.

So with the reincarnator handled for now he focused on the other side mission at hand as he went back home along with a bit dejected Karla and an oblivious Clara.
