Blue laid back on his bed as he examined the locket compass on his hand.
A pleasant surprise.
That was his thought after getting a free Artifact from Julie. It wasn't in his calculations that Baron Auburn had been so impressed and concerned for his safety within the academy that he would, at this early stage, consider giving an Artifact to a mere would-be employee like him.
“With this as my ‘first’ Artifact known to the public my plans would be a bit more convenient from now on.”
He thought before looking beside him. He was the only one on the bed. A rare occurrence as Karla always sticks to him like glue within this cloud house. Now that he was “recuperating” he obviously didn't attend the lessons but she still had to.
Anyways, with Karla having been forced to accept Luna as part of his “harem”, who would be moving into his place starting tomorrow, things would progress a bit on an uncertain path for him. There was a point which eluded him for a while.
“System had specified on that side mission about unloading in her but wouldn't that let her have free access to [Clan Manor] menu? Luna's true self as Enshrouded Blade, a core denizen, is very dangerous for my and the system's safety so why would it still tell me to do such a thing? Is it that confident that nothing detrimental would happen?”
“That being said, this system hasn't acted in a foolish way till now so I can only muse that it has enough assurance to be this confident in front of a core denizen. However, now that she has free access it's better for me to take preemptive action.”
He wasn't an idiot who would wait around while hoping that she wouldn't figure out about his [Clan Manor] when she got sudden access to it. As a core denizen, the moment she unlocks all her memories, Blue was 100% certain that it would be instantly found out. He would rather overestimate her like this.
So, instead of letting her confront him about this “secret” he had hid from her, it was better to make it so that it wasn't a secret from the very start. There was an easy way to fix this issue.
He had got the family trio to accept his request of letting Luna reside on his place starting tomorrow. After all, they were already aware that he was “forced” to make love with her and as an “upright” Paladin he wouldn't shrink away from taking responsibility for his actions though he was made a “victim” to it.
So they could only accept this new change in their life.
That being said, if Luna would stay in his cloud house then wouldn't it be difficult for Laura to spend time with her family? When this issue came up he then revealed his intentions to let Luna know about his “Home skill” which ended up being vehemently rejected by the trio.
To them it was a safe haven where not only Laura but even Horizon, the bicorn, was staying so letting Luna learn of it when they still weren't that familiar with her was out of the question.
It wasn't a problem for him though. He calmly told the truth that after he had made love with her, just like Karla, she also got the free access to his skill so there's no point in hiding it. She will find out eventually.
The trio could only reluctantly agree after learning of this fact.
After all, though his “skill” was a safe haven only known to them but it wouldn't always be like this where they would forever be the ones to have known about it. There was bound to come a time where more people would be aware of it and now it started with Luna, a victim to Xavier and Thomas’s sinister plot.
With this, he had finally wrapped up his plans for this reincarnator.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Now it was time to look at his gains from having toyed with a core denizen plus a reincarnator and on top of that an abomination seed. Just describing her identities were enough to frighten any inner denizen a hundred times.
First of all, the mission rewards.
In the description there was the part where he needed to ensure her safety from anything that threatened her life and the time limit for it was before the first exchange event starts. It turned out that the moment he had managed to unload in her, the system already deemed that the mission was completed.
From that he surmised how his earlier suspicion was correct. The matter of protecting her in this academy where student’s safety was a top priority was a bit outlandish. Even with that notion the fact that the system still included that part was no doubt its way of informing him about Luna's Time Sanctuary innate ability’s condition to become active.
It seems that even this system was wary enough of an abomination’s power to sneakily include that part.
He had already collected the reward way earlier at an opportune time and just as promised he got Pure Yin essence of 18 year old which had further elevated his existence level. There was also an increase in his time element aether comprehension which was actually significant enough to breakthrough the next stage of his true attainment from past life.
It turns out that the “slight” increase from the system's point of view at that reward description was more than enough for him. Another pleasant surprise he had managed to discover.
On top of that, additional information about her dormant innate ability was also given to him as mentioned before in that side mission. The Time Sanctuary innate ability was the signature ability of an abomination type that still exists in the Outer Area of the void.
As a top powerhouse he had much information about abominations and with the latest addition rewarded by the system it further increased. Now he had a more thorough understanding about this abomination type which surpassed his past self.
His “first” Artifact, Compass of Fortuity, was of previous epoch dubbed as East-West Epoch by pretty much all the races in the void. In order to further understand about the abominations the knowledge needed to be dated back as far as the first epoch, the Chaotic Epoch.
During that epoch, there was no distinction between races and their specific home. This resulted in constant war, conflict, plunder, genocide, rebellion, invasion etc. In such a chaotic time after the genesis of this universe, now named as Endless Void by survivors of the first epoch, the abominations ran rampant as there were no effective means still known to others to deal with them.
These abominations managed to become supreme existences who ended up ruling the first epoch. Their growth rate in power, wealth and overall influence was so meteoric that others couldn't even begin to craft a plan before they already became untouchable for the opponents.
They brought horrors of such magnitude that other denizens could only bow their heads as even in death there was no respite from their clutches. Fortunately, for the entire universe, they were unable to become an eternal nightmare as others finally managed to devise accurate strategies to effectively deal with them.
So began another bloody war where the entire Endless Void, regardless of the Area, became engulfed in it and finally those abominations were either killed, sealed or banished to the Outer Area permanently as the only instance where the entire universe became united to set up the Inner Area trial in all six regions was accomplished by the core denizens.
Abominations are also one of the two main reasons why the Outer Area now was dreaded by the inner denizens. Other being the disasters that were ever present there. Though those disasters were naturally occurring and only had a very low chance of it actually manifesting but nonetheless all those who were aware of the full details of how terrifying it was to be affected by even one of it would smartly avoid it.
Leaning on a collapsing wall was better to be avoided.
Blue's circumstances were different as he got forcefully transmigrated there by that wretched system but any inner denizen would at least need to be a lunatic to even consider going there.
Anyways, after that bloody war the first epoch ended with abominations defeat and during that war six regions were established as the entire void became firmly divided. The four cosmic empires and two calamity regions. To others it was a calamity region but the void-kin races simply called it void-kin regions.
Blue's past life as an abyss spawn was naturally in the Abyss, one of the two void-kin regions in the void. To the east lies the Tian Dao Continent, to the west remains the Netherworld and below lies the Abyss. This was general knowledge to all the inner denizens and now also to all the students in this academy.
Thus the second epoch known as the Six Regions Epoch began and abominations became a thing of the past horrors.
