Kyrain or Ky as his mother and friends called him watched as the first messages appeared from the system he had been taught about by his Uncles, Aunts, and Mother.

His mother who everyone knew as the Seraph sat across from him waiting for the verdict of what he chose.

At first nothing happened, then everything blurred around him and when it came back into focus he was in a white room.

"Welcome to your integration Kyrain Ekart!"

Ky turned quickly and saw a translucent orb floating in front of him.

"You're Infiniti!" Ky said excitedly. Walking closer.

"You are correct. It would seem your family has prepared you for this day. I have you marked, as something special will be required of you. As it stands right now, a being is gaining power extremely rapidly and in time your power will be needed to counteract this threat." Infiniti said.

Ky tilted his head. "This is starting to really feel like a fantasy book I read." He said with a smile.

"Your dad was extremely similar when he and I had a conversation about his path selection." Infiniti said.

Kyrain train of thought came to a screeching halt. "My dad? My mom says he is still alive? Is he ever going to come home.?"

Infiniti paused and moment.

"Inquiry has been passed to administrators for clearance to answer." Infiniti said and recieved an answer a moment later.

Ky was confused at what just took place as it seems the system that they had thought was omnipotent apparently had administrators.

"Kyrain Ekart, your dad is not only working to return to this universe. Should he return without the proper balances in place here, the destruction he brings will consume the planet. This is the threat posed to your planet. As one whom has a close emotional tie to Sorin Ekart, a unique path is available to you given by one of the chief administrators to slow or stop him until he regains himself."

Ky saw a flicker in the corner of his eye as an ball of black that was blacked than he had ever seen took shape.

He was excited to share that news with his mom. He knew she missed him every day. He had early memories of his dad with letters and emails he left before he was somehow sent to another universe according to mom. The thought of his dad being a threat to everyone stunned him.

His dad was always a gentle fun loving person from what he remembered and what mom told him.

"The paths are awaiting your review and selection. The administrators have requested you carefully consider the unique path provided, but acknowledge the divine law of free will." Infiniti said.

Ky shrugged off his thoughts about his dad being dangerous and ran excitedly over to the area with pedestals. He looked at each of the paths before him.

First up was a caduceus. He looked at it as the expected text came up.

Celestial Mender - epic

Due to your close proximity with massive amounts of light aether focused in the healing arts you have the opportunity to follow the path of healing.

Pros: High aether control, and output. High aether reserves. Healing coming easily and naturally with less drain on core.

Cons: Little to no offensive capabilities.

Kyrain had seen how awesome his mom was with her ability to heal. She was respected and desired by a lot of people, even guys that he found absolutely creepy with how they hit on her.

Kyrain shivered with disgusted at the thought and then moved to the next path.

The object before him was a burning sword

Spellblade - uncommon

Aether runs thick in your blood as does a vast amount of training in weapon arts. You have an affinity with any edged weapon. Aether is used to increase your body to higher levels than other users. You rely on aether abilities and blades to rip any enemies apart.

Pros: High offense in both aether and weapon arts. Uses minimal aether per attack.

Cons: Low defense and limited range compared to other paths. Relies on weapons for full power use.

Ky liked this one. It combined both his Uncles essentially into one. His uncle Mitch was a master of edged weapons and nobody could touch him in speed or power and his other uncle Kody was the best aether user he had ever seen. The legend is that he owns and rules the entire Pacific Ocean which was crazy. No wars were ever fought on the ocean as far as anyone could tell, because nobody dares cross the Tidecaller.

Ky knew better than to select a path without seeing them all.

The next was a flame like that on a large candle

Pyromancer - rare

The path of the passionate and driven. The pyromancer is highly adaptable in both long and short range with offense and defense. These are used on battlefields when available for wide and massive destruction. Many battles will be often avoided when a Pyromancer is known to be present.

Pros: Adaptability and massive power in both offense and defense. Focuses on aether attacks and defenses.

Cons: Low physical capabilities. Highly vulnerable to physical attacks. Abilities consume massive amounts of aether and can leave the user defenseless when depleted.

Kyrain loved this class. Nothing like throwing fire balls everywhere. He had his number one choice if the last one didn't "wow" him.

He looked over and saw that ball of black. He moved toward it and felt an extremely strange feeling almost like an emptiness.

Spellbreaker - Unique

Utilize antimatter to neutralize the aether around you and targets of your choice. This is the only path of its kind and little is known by the mortals of the universes about antimatter save that it does not work well with aether. This path was specifically created by the chief administrator for the being Kyrain Ekart.

Cons: Unknown path

Kyrain was absolutely in love. He had read books and seen shows about antimages or mage breakers and loved watching them destroy people or cause the smug little faces 9f bullies to fall. Since everything ran on aether, being the only one capable of neautralizing aether would be so overly broken.
