It was a rare day off from the hospital for Brittanie. She was home with Kyrain eating lunch.
"Hello!" Came the call from the driveway. Looking up she saw Sorin's brother Mitch who was this famous "Wanderer" and the guild master.
"Hey mitch. How are you today?
Kyrain heard the voice of his uncle and went running out to him.
"Uncle Mitch!" He jumped at his uncle who snatched him up for a hug then put him back down.
"I spoke with Kody today about news that gets passed by guildmasters. Apparently he demolished a small Chinese armada that didn't want to back down and just go home." Mitch said shaking his head.
Brittanie sighed with annoyance. "There is absolutely no reason for them to challenge borders. They just need to stay on their side of the fence in a manner of speaking. Kody doesn't bother anyone."
"Except what he calls "nates." Mitch said quietly.
"Nates?"
"Yeah it's a grudge he has held from the pre-system days when the natives apparently could fish and keep whatever they wanted while he always needed a permit." Mitch continued.
"Of course his unreasonable ass would be that way. I'm suprised Kassie hasn't wrung his neck over his antics." Brittanie said.

"Oh she has, but you know Kody...he learns slowly and now that he is the "King of the Pacific" he is even more cavalier than before. He's a great warden though." Mitch explained taking a seat in one of the lawn chairs.
"I came over because it's been a while since I heard about the status of my older brother and I worry." Mitch said.
Brittanie turned her gaze up and activated her skill then froze. She saw him sitting on a couch with a collar around his neck looking down at his wedding ring. Tears were falling. She wanted so badly to reach out to him.
"He isn't doing well it seems. He has a collar on. Something happened. I'll keep and eye on him and see if I can't figure anything out. He was guarding that same bimbo he always is, but I don't see those wierd looking dudes with him anymore." Brittanie said, just enjoying seeing his face.
Seeing him always brought back memories of when they first dated and got married. He was so goofy and silly.
"I'll let the family know. When I told them that Sorin got taken somewhere they have always been curious how he is. Kody is convinced nothing can keep him away forever. I'll even let mom know this time. We so appreciate you taking that one for the team last time." Mitch said.
Mitch got up and adjusted his light armor and sword. "Well Ky, I've got to get back at it. Pretty soon you will get your own path and start working for the guild."
"Not even close." Brittanie said.
"We have started a young adventures program where they take care of tasks around the city with their teams such as cleanup or humanitarian effort where they can earn cores and gain experience. They get a wooden adventurers badge and learn how we operate. They cant actually start proper jobs until they achieve an Iron badge at the age of 16 minimum and can pass my test. He will he fine Lady Seraph." Mitch said with a smirk.
"You know I hate that name. Keep using it, I'll have Sorin kick your ass when he gets home." She said back.
"I'd love to have him home to see what he has become and if he can keep up. Who knows...maybe he can deflate the head of his majesty out in the ocean.
They laughed and Mitch headed back on his way.
