Kyrain watched the location of his mother rapidly approach his position at the Tower Cocono in Shamrock, TX.

"Ladies, my mother's tracker is about two minutes out." Kyrain said as Phoenix, Eclipse, and Nyx got to their feet.

Phoenix shot high up into the air as Eclipse walked to the center of the road. Kyrain watched from the Shamrock hotel roof across the street.

"No full scale attacks from anyone!" Eclipse said, reminding everyone of their earlier discussion about minimizing damage to the local area and historical places still loved by many.

Kyrain was on damage negation and redirection, Nyx was on buffs and debuffs, Eclipse was damage on the ground, and Phoenix was long range damage from above.

In the next moments, a black suburban came into view that correlated with the tracker of Kyrain's mother. The suburban moved over to avoid hitting Eclipse who charged and fired a beam of condensed solar aether at the front of the vehicle and another jet of flames from above from Phoenix. Kyrain was expecting the beam to hit, but golden wings appeared and wrapped itself around the screeching vehicle. The vehicle was brought to a complete stop and rocked violently by the two attacks, but the damage didn't make it passed the golden wings.

As soon as the aether dissipated, the wings vanished as well. The rear doors opened up and two women stepped out. The first was a blonde woman with dark eyes. She was smiling confidently at Eclipse and looked up and over at Nyx, then over at Kyrain as if she knew they were all there before she even got out. The other woman that stepped out, did so in white scrubs, but there was no emotion on her face.

Brittanie assessed the situation and the spoke in a monotone. "Do not allow that one to get any closer. We are currently outside of his nullification range. If we allow him closer, it will be next to impossible to deal with the one in the air above us and the one in front. You don't have to worry about the other girl. She only can slow and speed up time."

With a nod, the blonde woman flicked her hand and a translucent blade was launched out at Eclipse who vanished in a blinding flash of light and a crack like that of a whip. In the next movement the blonde spun around and caught the incoming burning fist from Eclipse with a gloved hand.

"You will have to do better than that. How predicable that if you would vanish, that you would appear behind me." She said twisting the fist and torquing it painfully on Eclipse who twisted and threw a kick relieving the pressure at the same time.

The woman released the hand, ducked and smiled as a tendril of golden light lashed the other leg of Eclipse and flung her toward a building. As she was about to hit, a rift opened and Eclipse was tackling the blonde who let out a shout of suprise then a scream of pain as the smell and sound of burning flesh could be heard.

Kyrain watched as Nyx was actively slowing his mother's time as hard as she could. His mother had a look of pure fury on her face, the likes of which he had never seen from her as 12 tendrils of brilliant gold were coming from her back above and below her wings sharpened into points ready to kill.

Kyrain opened a rift and moved outside of Nyx's time dilation as Phoenix screamed down from above her entire body burning with a vengeful fire followed by a flash of light as Eclipse vanished just before Phoenix slammed into the blonde woman, or tried to.

At the same time Kyrain sprang from the rift next to his mother moving as quickly as he could to lock her down without affecting the time dilation, a surge of aether was expelled leaking with blood and what made them feel, hunger. There was a second surge of aether this time fire that slammed back into the aether from the blonde then cut it off.

"Your kind has pissed me off!" Came the sharp angry voice of Phoenix with the sound of a gasping strangled scream followed by more burning flesh.

Kyrain finished surrounding his mother in his antimatter and pushed as hard as he could to cut her path, but before he could succeed there was a third surge of aether. With a gasp and scream, Nyx went to one knee as a substance, purple in color, began running from her nose where she quickly swept it away and looking up at Kyrain who was too distracted containing his mother's power and losing to notice.

"Nyx! I need you back in the fight! She has a massive reserve of aether! I can't hold her for much longer!" Kyrain shouted.

Kyrain who was working to lock his mother down was also diverting his nullification abilities searching for what was twisting her mind, but was so pressed he couldn't hardly divide his attention enough to really dig.

"I've got you kid!" Eclipse shouted as she slammed into the back of Brittanie forcing her to the ground. Brittanie screamed in rage and pushed even harder this time focusing on the masked woman who was actively holding her down.

To her horror, Eclipse began to feel her body weaken. Fluids began to leak from her skin like sweat, then blood began running from her eyes, nose, and ears. What made things worse is her diaphragm locked up and she couldn't breathe.

Kyrain however, was hard at work now able to divert more effort and he had found it. Pink aether laying directly over top of his mother's brain. He found the skills pattern and injected his nullification ability into it, causing it to shatter.

Kyrain looked over quickly at Phoenix who had the blonde woman on the ground, completely unconscious. The woman was scorched from head to toe and now bound in reinforced zip ties. "Nyx! Get yourself together and look after this hag! I need to help Eclipse!" She shouted.

Nyx, who was already shakily moving to Brittanie changed directions at the given command.

"Yes...ma'am." She gasped out wearily.

Kyrain held the nullification over his mother as the affects of whatever his mother was doing to Eclipse ended abruptly.

Phoenix grabbed Eclipse and pulled her away as she was hemorrhaging blood from everywhere.

Tendrils withdrawing completely, Brittanie sat up shaking her head.

"Brittanie, if you're back with us, we need your help! You did serious damage here!" Phoenix said with an extremely urgent and worried tone. Brittanie looked over confused by everything around her.

She put a hand to her head in pain. Once her eyes landed on the woman in a pool of her own blood she shook herself and rushed over.

"What happened?!" She asked quickly.

"I don't know! You did this while controlled by that witch!" Phoenix said holding Eclipse's head in her lap.

Brittanie's eyes opened wide. "I can fix it." She said as her eyes glowed.

"Ky! Drop your null field! I need my full strength." She said looking back.

Kyrain hesitated then when he looked to Phoenix and getting a nod from her, he let go of his skill and his mother got to work.

After a tense ten minutes, Eclipse began to stir and move. Brittanie stood and put her hands on top of her head. Tears running down her face.

Kyrain went over to her touching her shoulder.

She turned to him and touched his mask. He removed it and she hugged him tightly. Kyrain had never noticed how much taller he had become. He was a full head taller than his mother who was now sobbing into him.

"I wish your dad was here." She said squeezing him tightly. "He would slaughter all of these people for even thinking of touching us."

Eclipse slowly made her way over. "It's always difficult fighting one of your own, but we need to go Erebus. Mask up. The job isn't done." She said.

Kyrain put his mask back on as Brittanie separated from him. Kyrain turned and opened a rift back to Clarksville.
