It didn't take long for the arrangements to be made and they found a place that was recently remodeled between South Senseney and Rafiki drive on the corner.

They showed up to the showing of the house by the realtor with Kyrain in a wheelchair being pushed by his "wife." Nyx was acting with a bad limp and only able to move slow with her arm tucked close to her hidden away as if it was lost in a fight. The clothing she wore did a good job of hidding any signs of a hidden arm.

"The place is completely accessible and all one floor as you both requested." The realtor said opening the front door to allow them in.

"The property itself is 1 S rank core. It's competitive in the market. As shown it's three bedroom with 2 bathrooms. Convenient for a family with space to grow if I'm not being too presumptuous." She said.

Nyx walked next to Kyrain who wheeled in and over to the back door to look out at the yard as she hobbled her way around the house as if really looking through.

She came back out where Kyrain had pushed himself to the kitchen and was looking around. Nyx went over to Kyrain as if discussing it. Kyrain affected a nod then Nyx nodded to the realtor who reached into her briefcase for the necessary paperwork.

"Can we just get a receipt of sale?" Nyx asked.

They had already cleared the sting operation with the guild and it will take ownership of the property for use in the future. If not, flip it for profit when complete. To the guild 1 S rank core was nothing.

The realtor smiled amicably and reached in her briefcase for another set of documents with a carbon copy. Nyx handed over a single S rank core from a champion and began signing with her one good hand. She held the pen out to Kyrain.

Kyrain just waved showing that he was content with Nyx signing. His face was painted with very realistic burn marks and didn't put any signatures down per instruction from the guild as they were legitimately buying the property on behalf of the guild. Nyx was signing on behalf of them which the guild lawyers would take care of with the contract she had signed before the sale of the property.

Everything was legal and straightforward. They had their house and now all they had to do was wait. Once the realtor left Kyrain sighed and got up to stretch a bit.

"That went rather smooth. All I had to do was shut up and look dejected." He said.

"Not hard to act that out at all. It's like we learned back in Quantico, most people only see what they want and run with the first bit of information they get as long as their desires are met." Nyx said smiling.

"I'm taking the master bedroom. It has the bathroom attached to it and I'm the lady of the house so....my rules." Nyx replied putting her nose in the air sarcastically causing Kyrain to smirk and raise an eyebrow.

"Fine, fine, you've convinced me. The rent a center people will be here in about a half hour. I just sent them a message." Kyrain said sitting back down in his wheelchair and headed to the porch to make a show to passing cars that they lived there.

Nyx stayed inside because it would be weird to see a lady with a limp just standing around. It was fine with her anyway. Before long the rent a center truck arrived with an entire furniture set for a house. After an hour of moving and setting everything up, the house was done with the big stuff.

After a couple trips back to Kyrain's mom's house for blankets, sheets, and some household items. They needed to make a trip to the store for other items which they used a car they had also rented for the operation. It was a fancier car, but not too high end that the coverage would be crazy for if the targets went after the vehicle.

It was almost sun down when everything was finally and done and this time, Nyx joined Kyrain outside on the porch just relaxing.

"So is this what people dream about here?" Nyx asked.

Kyrain thought for a second. Then spoke.

"Mom doesn't talk about it much, but the few times she did, she would talk about things like this as plans she had with my dad before the system showed up. She said they wanted another child or two. She said, with us being longer lived they still might, but doesn't know." He said.

"Your parents really loved eachother." Nyx said sitting back on the wicker weave recliner they had gotten for her to sit out with Kyrain for her part of the act.

"Yeah, I used to wonder why mom never dated or anything, but when I found out about her skill to see dad and read the emails he had written to me when he was deployed, you can see my dad was crazy about her. I hope he still is when he returns." Kyrain said looking down.

"What about your parents? If you dont mind me asking." He continued changing the subject.

She looked down scrunching her eyebrows a bit with a frown.

"Well...it's complicated. My dad wasn't really around for us. He is a powerfully placed individual and doesn't really care about family matters much. It was mostly my mother and I. I learned most all I know from her. When I got older, I got bored of the drama and didn't feel like being a part of the family business." She explained.

Kyrain nodded along.

"Time Warp?" He asked.

"You can call it that. It's not the actual name of my path, but it suits well enough. Spellbreaker?" She answered then asked right back.

"That's actually what it's called. I know little about it. He is brought up a lot, but my dad read a LOT of these books in the LITRPG and cultivation genre that mom said was a lot like what we live now. He was also a nerd who thought outside the box and probably could have helped me figure this out. Maybe if he makes it back, he can help me." He replied.

Nyx slowly got up to act injured. Quietly she spoke.

"I'm tired of this bind on my arm. I'm going to shower, get some food, then probably turn in. I'll see you later."

Kyrain just nodded then spoke up. "I have pizza coming. Papa Johns is not far. Should be here in the next ten minutes.

She paused for a moment.

"You're not bad for a make believe husband Kyrain Ekart. You know the way to a woman's heart." Nyx said with a giggle then went inside.
