Kyrain and the group waited anxiously over the next few hours. They kept watching their phones for any sort of word.

Nyx kept trying to help Kyrain feel better through words of encouragement, but she knew there was only so much they could do.

They didn't hear anything for another couple of hours until the phones all went off again to everyone's absolute shock and horror.

Target has bypassed San Diego line altogether through extreme speed of flight. High altitude defenses and users have been dispatched.

Target is moving rapidly across the United States to destination unknown. Estimated time of arrival to Texas/Oklahoma/Kansas line: 1.5 hours.

The group couldn't believe this thing managed to circumvent an entire line of elite users through sheer speed and flight. They had fliers and fast ones at that.

Considering it further they shouldn't be suprised as Kody's forces got demolished while in the open ocean where he is the strongest. The group paced and waited anxiously. They felt on the edge of a razor blade and wanted the fighting to begin already as the wait was terrible. Nearly an hour and a half went by until they saw something fall out of the sky burning as it went and then an object streaked down and collided with the ground.

Kyrain looked up as approximately 30 users flew down to their line.

"Prepare for combat! We got it to the ground, but it seems pissed." The man said weapons drawn.

Kyrain and the group pulled their weapons and got ready. The target in question was still miles off where it cratered into the ground. Kyrain hoped beyond hope that whoever this was, just stayed down.

"Steady." A voice said accompanied with the rasp of metal. Kyrain looked to his right and saw his uncle clad in ceremonial samurai armor putting his full face helmet on. His demeanor was calm, but he could see a small shaking come from him.

"Any word on Uncle Kody?" Sebastian asked.

"Focus on the here and now boy. Focus on other things when lives do not depend on it. Assume he survived and fight as thought he needs your help." Mitch replied sharply and sagely.

They all went quiet and waited.

*Flash!*

There was a brilliant blinding white light as a column of light extended into the clouds causing them to scatter away.

*Thoom!*

A massive shock wave slammed into the army that had gathered knocking them all down. In the distance the light faded as storm clouds began to assert themselves.

They watched in absolute horror as the largest thunderstorm anyone had ever seen, formed in a matter minutes with giants bolts of electricity began slamming down into the ground and crackling across the sky. Then to further terrify the army, tornadoes swirled to the ground lit up brilliantly by the flashes of lightning.

In a small flash of light a small figure appeared just below the cloud line facing them. The figure appeared to summon flames and shot them into the tornadoes causing them to erupt and burn and at this point it was too much for many of the army. They broke and ran.

"Cowards!" Tobias shouted.

"Don't worry about them. This is a lot of power being put on display and a waste if you ask me, but its all psychological warfare. If he wanted to kill, he could have. Hold your ground and protect one another. If the situation is untenable, retreat. It's not worth losing your lives." Mitch said coldly watching the figure.

Something else snapped in the army. All sorts of long range attacks were fired as the figure drew closer and finally in range. Just as they seemed they would all hit, they began to swirl around the figure and then to their suprise, were redirected back to their owners with machine like proficiency.

There was an eruption of dirt and debris before screams of agony and people going flying. Before Kyrain and Nyx could react there was a second explosion of dirt and a mild shockwave as Mitch vanished. There was a flurry of metal on metal clangs followed by a huge shockwave and one of the beings went flying. As Kyrain looked through the last bit of the dust, he saw only the same figure now on fire with electricity sparking off in random directions.

The figure now close enough that Kyrain could tell was male, turned as Mitchell slammed into him this time with his second katana to match the man blade for blade. Kyrain was expecting to see his uncle launch the man, but only the ground rocked and dust went flying. Before Mitch could react there was a discharge of electricity and a flash allowing the man behind his uncle where he launched a kick into Mitch's side and sent him skipping over the water like a stone.

The blades held by the man vanished into the armory he wore and he started to take back off into the air, when another being appeared seemingly out of nowhere and kicked him right after Mitch where the man crashed into the water creating a geyser like explosion of water. The being slowed and a cheer erupted from Kyrain's group as they saw Kody appear. He was looking pretty banged up and worse for wear, but alive and kicking....and furious.

A massive serpent lunged up out of the river with the man in its massive jaws trying to clamp down, but seemingly unable to get through the armor. Kyrain all of the sudden felt massive drop in the aether before he saw it just shortly before a massive discharge of electricity exploded outward through the serpent followed by a shower of blood and the smell of burnt flesh. There was a angry shout from Kody who swung his bident down at the falling man, who flashed a bright white hot barrier up that exploded back toward Kody on impact launching them apart from eachother where the man using some form of electricity to drift backwards.

Kyrain watched as the massive serpent his uncle adored slowly fell, eyes completely blown out and smoking from all orifices of the head.

It was during the man's drift backwards that they fell into close range of the man before they could get away. His cousins were closer and they looked around confused before a blast of wind launched them. That's when Kyrain and Nyx fell into range of the man and a notification appeared.
