Sorin awoke the following day with everyone else and to the envy of all who saw him...he was pain free. His new Aether revival skill worked passively in the background and while he was sleeping it repaired any and all damage to him and since he had a high AP pool and the ability to refill his aether efficiently, it was like he was getting a fresh start. This may not seem like much, but it was a very distinct advantage, but at the same time, since it couldn't be hidden in this setting, his instructor was going to absolutely compensate for it.
They went through their usual morning workouts. He pulled extra trying to use his regeneration and energy to give his teammates a breather, but as soon as Varris saw what he was up to she loaded him down with a pack full of sand coming up to around 150lbs and it became exhausting quickly causing him to be carried some by his teammates exhausting them further.
Once they had completed, they were formed up and let to another section of the arena where another team was waiting for them. They looked horrific and exhausted just as Sorin used to be and his teammates still are. Corporal Varris stepped out with a taller man next to her. "You will be fighting one another from here on out in team-on-team battles. Aether is still not permitted and do not attempt to kill your opponents. Face your opponents." They all turned and brought weapons to the ready. "Oh Sorin...you silly bitch...did you really think you would get it that easy?"
*SLAM!*
A long staff was slammed into the back of Sorin's calves by the large man who WAS next to Varris and then again to his hamstrings as he started to go down from the impact. As he continued down the same punishing hits came in four more times to his upper and lower arms followed by a shot to his lower back sending him sprawling.
"Now...that ought to even it a bit." He said as he walked happily back to where Varris was standing with a smug smirk to her face too.
"Jokes on you...This is nothing to me." Sorin thought to himself as he accelerated his regeneration by using the active part of his skill. Under his clothes the injuries he sustained began healing at an accelerated speed and would be gone in a matter of minutes not hours as would his passive do. "Begin!" Varris said and the teams rushed forward. Sorin led with Cain and Linx stacked behind him as the other team moved online with one another. Sorin had a warhammer coming in, but he was faster, he slashed in and slammed down on this opponents' wrists as he moved in the direction the hammer was swinging. the hammer fell from the humans hands in front of him and as it fell Can who was behind him snatched it from the air and slammed it into the enemy elf to the right of the one who dropped it as Linx came around and delivered a killing blow to the same man leaving Sorin now mostly healed to begin slashing at the scaled beast woman in front of him who used a sickle and chain. She had the chain swinging at whistling fast speeds with a steel ball at the end which could 100% be lethal if taken to the head.
She swung it out at him then ripping it back smoothly switching and lashing out with the sickle on the chain going around her like a wooden lawnmower blade. The team ducked and continued to slowly move in on her Sorin made the move causing her to lash out which Sorin thew a sword up to catch the chain around and ducked as it whipped around. To his surprise she yanked back on the chain ripping the sword from his hand and tried to fend of the two coming at her but was simply not fast enough. They had their blades to her neck.

"We will reset and fight again and again for the rest of the day. Take a little time to strategize with your team if you must between rounds. When you are lined up, begin automatically." The large man next to Varris said as they sat down in some chairs they must have found while they were fighting.
They just looked at each other and nodded, they would slightly switch things up around Sorin who their tank for all intents and purposes. The enemy really had three obvious choices. they could try to take out the tank which could open up the formation to the two DPS conscripts or they could go for the battle of attrition and hope they were better against each other one-on-one. Sorin and his team were not going to let them decide, however. One of the enemies had a spear, the other had a sword and shield while the beastwoman had that sickle and chain which had a lot of versatility but needed to be free and clear if it were to be used. They commenced the fight and Sorin had Linx stack on him with Cain shifting out as soon as Sorin classed Linx literally ran up Sorin's back and didn't jump as much as dived over the man with the spear and even behind the back of the sword and shield bearer who was a pig looking orc. Before the orc could spin, he took a shot to the back and touch to the neck and was out followed quickly by the equally shocked spear user and then the three collapsed on the poor beastwoman for another victory. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the man give something over to Varris with an annoyed look on his face and she smiled rather smugly.
They were about to start again when Varris called out.
"Change of game. You will now do one verses two. Sorin and you scale woman. You are first to face two. Sorin faces their two and whatever your name is our two. Begin whenever."
They shifted the battlefield for space and launched into it. The spear user kept soring back as the orc circled and tried to flank. Sorin waiting until he had them at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions then rushed the one with the spear who stabbed out. Sorin smacked the spear to the side and spun with the smack bring is outside sword across the man's ribs. Who immediately doubled over. He spun behind the man about to go for the shot
*Slam! Slam! Slam!*
Sorin took the hits to his body like before they began fighting and this time it hobbled it and threw off the momentum of the battle. The orc came rushing in with an overhead chop. Sorin began pumping aether into his regen to get mobility back, but it wasn't fast enough. He struck out at the orc who blocked with his shield can that is when things went from bad to worse.... his sword shattered on the shield. "Oh, fuck me running!" Sorin exclaimed as the spear user came in hard swinging his spear across. Sorin had no choice but to block it directly which continued to add to his problems as it ripped the sword from his hand.
Disarmed and outnumbered Sorin shook his head and didn't give an inch as the two watched him. "Well come on then!" he shouted as the Orc led with his Shield and the spear right beside him. The orc slashed across right to left, but Sorin figured that or a stab. Like he was trained in the military he stepped in slammed his forearm in grabbed the arm and twisted up, ducked under while holding pulling his hand and arm behind him ripping the sword from his hand kicking the leg out and touching the neck as the spear came in blistering fast.
Before Sorin could react, it hit him square in the chest launching him backward for the loss.
Varris gave back whatever she was given with an annoyed look at Sorin.
