Chapter 40 – Angels Gift
Nobody thought about the journey back to apple. The weight of their victory against Ajax hung heavy in the air, a strange mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. They had defeated a powerful demon, earned the title of "Demon Hunter," and acquired valuable loot. The remaining group of Giant Axe, Jim, 3 members of the holy church and one mage arrived at the angel.
The angel spoke “Thank you for defeating the lessor demon Ajax. For your bravery, I would like to reward you from the following list” Different from a normal game, the angel is allowing the group to choose their own rewards. There were legendary materials, legendary weapons, armor … however, the points they accumulated was not enough to buy legendary materials. At best they would be able to choose rare item, maybe epic item. To buy a legendary item, they would need to pool all of the holy churches member that participated in the raid to have a chance at buying. On top of that, it was a ranked legendary weapon which is more valuable than common legendary weapons.
The church was shy of a couple of reward contributions to redeem the legendary spear Luciel ranked 985. This spear was recorded in history as one of the four holy weapons that drove demons back to hell in the past. The church needed to retrieve this weapon at all cost as they may not be able to have the chance in the future. They asked all participants if they would contribute their reward points to purchase the spear. The only players who has enough reward points were part of the original group that defeated Ajax. No one showed interest to give up their rewards to the church.
Just as the church was about to give up on the reward, Jim offered his points in rewards to talk to the Bishop in charge for a favor. They agreed to a meeting but could not promise anything. The church purchased the spear as soon as Jim transferred the reward points. Once everyone has chosen their reward, the angel turned his head to Jim and asked what he would like for his reward. Everyone turned their head toward Jim as they saw him give the reward points to the Church. The angel explained that he single handedly defeated a hell knight which are extremely strong. Everyone turned to Jim to see what he would purchase.
Jim spoke “Can I spend the remaining time with you alone?” Everyone was dumbfounded. He could have easily asked for a unique weapon. The top rankers who defeated Ajax thought that was a reasonable request. Information is valuable on the type of information. Who knows, maybe Jim will get the best reward out of all of us.

The angel accepted the terms and said that there is 1 hour before he will return to heaven. He teleported everyone outside the dungeon. The angel asked what he would like to talk about. Jim started by asking the history of Angels and demons.
The angel said “Very well. To start, we are not the overlords of this planet. Out of the nine planets in Universe 1, Earth is the weakest planet by miles. Not to your detriment, but the game was introduced recently, other planets have had the game for decades. Their planets have already developed to stronger civilizations. Given time, Earth may also evolve to stronger civilizations. Just as species such as fishman evolved to breathe underwater, humans have the ability to evolve as well. To oversee the development of a species angels and demons are present on each planet.”
What is your purpose then Jim asked.
“I cannot say more of this subject until you meet certain requirements” Discussing this with the angel took around 10 minutes to know the general history of these beings. Jim did not know this information in the future as information of divine and demonic beings were kept a secret.
Suddenly the asura spirit spoke to Jim. “Ask him about the qualities of divine mana. You may not get another chance”
The angel looked at Jim in an intrigued way. “You have a spirit that does not belong in this era. Even before my time, the spirit existed. Interesting. I will answer your question. Divine mana is the purification of holy mana. You cannot have divine mana as a human, at most you can only have holy mana. One of your earlier moves with the holy bubbles is a variation of holy mana. All holy mana share the same trait of light, wind, water. When you mix the mana in a certain way, you create holy mana. It is not mana that could only be used by the church but it is a technique that we angels have passed down to them.
Why cant humans handle divine mana?
The angel responded, the human body cannot handle the weight of divine mana. The density of divine mana is 1000x heavier than holy mana. Let alone the weight of mana, the human body does not have a method to dispel the weight of mana through the body and will likely explode when they try.
Jim thought about what the angel said. It is true that there is a limit to the amount of holy bubbles he could make. Most likely, the weight of mana is restricting his control.
After spending about half of the time talking with the angel, Jim started to forage around grabbing plants and soil from the environment. When the angel saw him transport materials out of thin air, he said Seratul.
