33 – (Season 1) Birth of an unexpected job

Adam said with confidence “I want to be a farmer”

Everyone looked at Adam dumbfounded. This was the most leftfield answer they all expected him to say. After a brief second, everyone congratulated him on his dream to be a farmer. Everyone asked if he was ready to come out of the time ring and he said not for the time being. Adam explained that there is still work to be done. He was trying to build an ecosystem for the plant and egg. For this he needed to create the best fertilizer he could make. He still had the fermented bugs from their chicken run but he was saving this for the egg. He was focused on creating dense mana rich soil for the seed and found some success.

Adam passed on the body reformation on to Jake, Jim and Sera. Jake was able to demonstrate what he learned from the skill. The body is malleable through training and is dependent on what you are most familiar with. In their case, it was their strengths. Jakes golden hangs, Jims mana domain and Sera’s space time manipulation. The technique was vague and only explained to merge your strength to exponentially increase your strength. Everyone pondered for a few minutes to see how they use this. They were thinking and Jake was the first person to try an application. He threw two golden palms out, the first palm was slow and the second palm was traveling faster. He tried to hit the same target but he missed the timing and hit two different targets. Sera told them to move to a different area if they want a wall to hit. They moved to a different place and entered into a brown room. Jake tried practicing some more and his control was getting better. Eventually, he instead to two vibrations on the wall, he felt 1 vibration. This wall vibration was at least 3 times stronger than the past two vibrations. Everyone was impressed on the vibration felt through the wall. Nobody wanted to be on the receiving end of that. Jake tried again but was unable to complete it. Sera offered her assistance and worked with Jake together. Sera suggested to try using his skills without changing the speed and just focus on sending it to the same spot. Jake agreed and sent two palms towards the same spot in the wall. Sera used space magic and attached space mana on the palms. As they were moving to the wall, they slowly started to become attracted to each other and moved closer to each other. As soon and they merged, one giant golden palm appeared and shook the room violently.

Everyone was amazed the power produced by combination. Even better, since this was a skill Jake created, there was no cooldown limit. As long as he has enough mana, he can continually use this. Sera started teaching jake the basics of space mana. While Jake and Sera were continuing their training. Jim was deep in thought. He had his own idea of combining power but he wasn’t sure how to approach it. Combining attacks was not Jim’s strength and kept thinking about how to take his own approach. Everyone could feel the temperature of the main body slowly rising indicating the sun was starting to rise. Everyone hugged Adam good bye and hoped to see him soon.

Jake opened his eyes and returned met the group ready to go out. They started walking around the mountain. They met few resistances, mostly hunting animals such as wolves. They mainly ignored the animals as they still have enough rations to last them a couple of weeks if needed. As they continued walking, they saw a large group of yetis, about 300-500 hundred yetis on top of the mountain. Among them was one large Yeti, most likely the group leader. Jake paused the group and told them to wait here. Jake walked 2-3 more miles. He looked for a large boulder to hide behind and created a clone. Then he threw a small rock vertically. One the rock reached its peak, it was about the same height as the top of the mountain and he used substitution jutsu to switch places with rock. Once he was high up in the air, he concentrated to throw out two very large golden hands and connected them together with space mana to combing them into one golden palm twice the size of the original golden palms. Once he attacked, the clone on the bottom used substitution just switch places with Jake and he returned to the ground instantly behind the large boulder. Once his golden palm hit the top of the mountain, a loud avalanche started forming. Jake could tell with his detection skill that the yetis mana signatures were starting to disappear quickly. Jake used his golden hands to support the boulder. As the avalanche continued, more yeti mana signatures kept disappearing. After a couple of minutes the avalanche stopped. Jake’s group quickly ran over as the avalanche was ongoing. Only 20 yetis remain alive at the bottom of the mountain and the group engaged in battle. Jake started praying to provide a buff to everyone and the group quickly took care all the yetis including the boss. This time, quantity beat out quality as the boss took too much damage from 100 players and it was already weakened by the avalnace. A system notification sounded and provided a reward with a sealing scroll with another picture of a leg. Before the portal opened, Jake was diligently collecting the fallen corpses of the yetis and left with the group once the portal opened.

Everyone returned back to the original cave and they were the first to return. Everyone started to unwind and rest until the remaining group returned.
