04 – Slime kingdom
Jim decided to head to the slime kingdom. Many players did not know but slimes carried a secret talent that could be unlocked. The slime talent allows you to sacrifice a piece of your body to temprorrily gain buffs depending on your class type. However, many players did not know how to properly use it much less find a way to acquire it. It was only after 5 years that a player found out how to acquire the slime talent.
Slime kingdom took 5 days of travel time by foot.
“Since I have to get to level 10 for a class change, lets kill some monsters along the way.”
Jim picked a basic swordman class as it was well rounded and easy to control.
As goblins appeared one be one, Jim casually walked up to each goblin and sidestepped their first lunge and sliced their heads off with their momentum.
“Lets try integrating mana into my attacks “
Jim had a vague idea of how to attach mana to his sword. He didnt wait for the goblin to lunge first anymore, he just walked up to them slashed at their heads. Due to the weak mana circulating in goblins, there was less resistance.

Jim noticed an increase in efficiency in slaying goblins but noticed that this was still lacking in attack power. At this rate, he would get tired if a horde of goblins ganged up on him. He needed to learn swordwave but that was a tier 3 skill. Suddenly, Jim was hit with inspiration, he didn't need to learn the active skill, he can create his own swordwave skill using his mana technique.
What element is between me and that tree over there. There is only wind, but how can I cut with wind at tier 1. This was a conundrum and Jim experimented with different theories.
“If water pressure is high enough it can cut through steel. But I can't supply that amount of water or pressure. What if I substitute water with wind”
After trying different principles, Jim was still trying to figure out a solution for an area of attack without learning skills.
In the future, Jim remembered watching season tournaments where players used all kinds of slashing and stabbing attacks, but all of them were related to skills. In order to qualify for the ninja class, one cannot use any skills until level 10 for their class change.
After pondering for a while, he did remember one unusual player who was highly ranked in sword skills, but he didnt use any skills.
Jim thought” how did he manage to use attack skills without consuming mana?”
“Could he possibly fused multiple concepts together”
“What if I use vibration as a concept to move the mana in one direction on the tip of my blade”
Jim practiced this on a nearby tree and found that by moving the mana around the tip of his blade, he was able to stab the sword through the tree like butter.
This is much more efficient and stronger that just attaching mana to the blade when he attacked the goblins earlier.
“This is not bad but I still need something for range and more destruction in attack power would be nice.” Jim pondered as he stared at the tree.
'What if I coated the rotating mana in a shell of mana so the mana wont lacerate a target until it collides with something solid.”
Jim practiced trying to rotate the mana around his sword but was unable to create a mana shell around it.
Jim continued to kill goblins until the morning, but was unsuccessful in creating a sword wave.
Jim logged off after failing to create a sword wave.
