13 – (Season 1) Blind genius

Everyone in the training room was confused. All of Blue Moon's party members never knew that she was blind. Some even wondered how she could talk, converse and lead the party if she was blind.

Blue Moon continued in her explanation “Technically, I am not blind, but my sight is significantly reduced. Imagine looking through the pinhole of a door, you can only see slightly in front of you.”

Everyone understood to some degree that she was not truly blind. However, this did not satisfy Jim's observation. While the mana pathways are closer to her skin that regular players, the mana around her was denser than normal players like her teammate. Sera was cautious as it seemed like he met a genius.

Sera ran towards Blue Moon to test her. He brandished a sword without any mana and performed a vertical slash followed by a horizontal slash. While Sera's stats were below Blue Moon, she perfectly avoided both slashes almost as if she could predict them. Sera mixed in a couple of small rocks mixed in with slashes, however, he was unable to land a hit on Blue Moon.

Sera stopped his offensive attacks as Blue Moon showed no signs of aggression.

As the party members of Blue Moon watched “They started discussing that this was their captain's strength”

Blue Moon was certain that this was not his full strength as Sera was not even breaking a sweat and his breathing was maintained at normal pacing.

“Why not show me your full strength” Blue Moon suggested.

“Well, the road goes both ways, I know that you have not used your full strength either” Sera responded.

No one in the crowd believed that sera was not putting in his full effort.

Blue Moon took a large breath “Well I will start. This is my own technique that I created out of neccessity.”

The mana around Blue Moon decreased in density and returned to normal levels similar to her teammates. Mana started moving all over her body and focused around her eyes.

Blue Moon stated “I call this supersight. I can temporarily see with full clarity and increase my mana control. As soon as she said this, she poured mana into her sword which started turning blue.

This was Blue Moon's version of a mana blade; however, it was different from Sera's mana blade. Blue Moon used her own mana and formed a blue color on the blade while Sera's blade did not have a color but Blue Moon could see that it was no ordinary sword. Like her blade, there was mana surrounding Sera's blade but the mana did not belong to him was part of the environment's mana.

For the first time in battle, Blue moon dashed at Sera swinging her blue mana blade. Sera was able to jump back in time. The ground where Blue Moon swung her sword down cracked the ground. Sera noticed this and hypothesized that she cannot control the mana going into her blade. This cracked the ground and the force was displaced randomly compared to Sera's mana blade where it could easily pierce the floor.

As Blue Moon kept chasing Sera, he suddenly dashed at Blue Moon and swung his sword. Both swords did not make contact but the mana in between there swords created sparks. Sera's mana blade kept the mana spinning in one direction creating a chainsaw effect while Blue Moon kept pumping her own mana into her blue blade. Blue Moon noticed that her blue mana blade started shrinking as Sera's sword started coming closer to her sword. She retreated a couple of steps back.

“You are full of suprises. What is that skill of yours” Blue Moon asked curiously.

“IT is not a skill, like you, I created my own technique” Sera responded.

“Your strength is impressive; however, I do have a berserk skill left as my trump card. I wonder if you can withstand it.” After Blue Moon said those words, mana started forming around her head and a small horn made out of mana started forming around her head.

Sera was surprised as that is a demon technique. While people think demon techniques are inherintly evil, this was not the case at all. Depending on how players act, any attack can be used to cause harm or save someone's life. Sera was able to notice this due to the irregular mana forming on her head. No one else was able to see the changes in Blue Moon, but everyone could tell that she had a dangerous vibe now.

Blue Moon rushed at Sera and swung her sword horizontally. Sera was unable to parry the sword in time and instead chose to block the sword. Unable to withstand the strike, Sera was pushed back 10 steps.

What a strong technique. I don't know how much longer she can maintain that form but it looks like I have no choice but to bring out my clone. As Blue Moon continue to chase Sera, a clone appeared right next to him. Not feeling a threat from the clone, Blue Moon swung her blue blade again. This time, Jim threw over a regular sword to the clone and transferred Jake's ego into the clone. As soon as Jim felt Adam's ego connect to Jim, they simultaneously swung their swords together.

All three players were pushed back 5 steps. Jim and Adam started running in opposite directions so one would be facing Blue Moon and the clone would be facing the back of Blue Moon.

Everyone gasped as they just witnessed the birth of a genius. Everyone knew how difficult it was to control a clone to the point that even pro gamers could barely perform basic functions if the main body was not moving. To simultaneously move and control all bodies was unheard of.

This time, Jim and Adam rushed towards Blue Moon to attack. While Blue Moon had exceptional vision and foresight, she was unable to dodge all the slashes performed in unison by Jim and Adam. Blue moon swung her sword in a circular motion to push Jim and Adam back 5 steps. She started running at the Clone getting ready to destroy the clone as swiftly as possible. Both Jim and Adam through a bunch of rocks flying towards in front of her and behind her as Jim was now facing her back.

Blue moon was going to ignore all of the rocks and receive some damage in order to focus on killing the clone. However, Adam used the substitution jutsu and switched positions with a rock he threw earlier. Adam yelled “Mountain Hammer”.

At the same time, Jim used his substitution jutsu to switch places with a rock that he threw earlier placing him within 3 steps of Blue Moon. Despite noticing Jim, Blue Moon's blue blade was being suppressed by Adam's mountain hammer attack that was equally as heavy and her own attack during her berserk state. Being unable to move Jim slashed his mana blade decapitating Blue Moon's head.
