38 – (season 1) Hell knight Juno

The hell knight charged at Jim. Once he got within 10 feet of Jim, he accelerated the last few steps and swung his hell blade down. Jim activated supersight and saw the swing coming ahead of time. He was intrigued and swung his blade up. Once they clashed, Jim was sent back 20 feet before he regained his footing. While his weapon could withstand the hell blade, his attributes fell short. If he kept on repeating his clash, he would lose in pure attributes.

While Jim was fighting the hell knight, the other party members were fighting Ajax. They kept hacking away at Ajax as the tanks switched in and out while they were being healed. Ajax fell down to his last 10 bars of health. Everyone checked on Jake to see if he was still standing. To everyone's suprise, Jake was holding a mana blade and fighting evenly with the hell knight.

While everyone focused back on their enemy in front of them, Jim had activated his mana domain. It brought the hell knights attributes to similar levels as Jim. He kept on replaying his battle with the hell knight. At this rate, they would be tied unless the hell knight has an ace up his sleeve. Knowing the game, they always have a last minute berserk move. Jim asked jake to make small bubbles with holy mana inside and leave a small amount of air in each bubble. Jake understood his intent and started making holy bubbles. Jim only had to buy 2 minutes to fill all of the bubbles. As he kept the hell knight busy, he started to sense danger. The hell knight started to attack faster and more aggressively, almost as if he knew he would lose if he kept attacking at the same pace. As they approached 2 minutes, thousands of holy bubbles glowed yellow around them. The hell knight demonstrated its weakness as it tried to avoid touching the bubbles. Jim summoned 6 clones with one situated as far back away from the bubbles. While sera was not summoned as a clone, she started to manipulate the space mana around them to attract all of the bubbles toward the hell knight. The 5 clones and Jim distracted the hell knight as the bubbles merged into one giant bubble. The hell knight was now merged with the within the holy bubble and its stats plunged further down. The hell knight stopped attacking as if he knew that he had lost. It tossed its sword at Jim.

The hell knight said “Keep it. It is one of the 13 cursed swords of the underworld. I hope to see you in hell one day so I can take it back.”

Jim acknowled how strong his enemy was and took the sword out of respect. He said good bye as he used his substitution jutsu with the clone farthest away and outside the holy mana bubble. Jake went ahead and detonated the holy bubble and a large explosion of holy power exploded. Everyone's eyes turned toward Jake's direction as a large shockwave came to them. Everyone braced for impact.

Nobody would have thought that this was a single battle. If anything, people would have believed that the raid boss was over there and that Ajax was a minion of the hell knight. When everyone was distracted, Ajax created a dark bubble and started to slowly recover. It was too late as the group tried to attack the dark egg like shield. Their attacks had no effect. They were so close as the bank was at his last health bar.

After the holy explosion, Jake quickly ran towards the main battle. No one could penetrate the shield as Ajax was recovering. The problem seemed to be that they lacked a weapon strong enough to penetrate it. Jake asked if Giant Axe could use his beserk skill to increase his size. He confirmed that it is off cooldown. Jake told everyone to prepare to attack once Giant Axe breaks the barrier. Everyone braced for attacking as Giant axe shouted as he increased his size. Once he reached the maximum size, Jake went ahead and coated his gigantic axe with holy mana. Jim helped rotate the holy mana to create a mana axe blade. As a make shift holy axe, everyone was impressed at Jakes utility. Giant Axe leap into the air and used his strongest strike at the shield. Once the axe made contact with the shield, it started to break apart the layer of shield. Ajax was worried but one he saw Giant Axe retreat, he breathed a sigh of relief. Jake shouted to try again. This time, instead of rotating the holy mana, he switched to vibrating the mana back and forth to create a high pitched noise. Giant Axe lept again and made contact with the shield again making more progress than last time. However, he needed a final push to break the shield. As he was putting his entire body weight into it, Jake used the substitution jutsu to swap places with Giant axe. He summoned as much holy mana into his fist and slammed it into the shield giving it the final push it needed to break. As soon as the shield broke, everyone stopped attacking the shield and attacked the boss. History was made as they defeated Ajax, a lessor demon. Soon, a system announcement was made.

Everyone in the final group received the title demon hunter. As soon as the system notification ended, 10 items burst out of the body. As the body was slowly fading, Jake took out his bone weapon and sucked up as much blood as it could before the body vanished. He stored the bone back into his time ring. Everyone was overflowing with joy and made their way to the angel.
