26 – (Season 1) Floor owner Rick breaking the rules

Before the fight began Jim asked what universe he was from.

Rick was taken back from the question. It has been so long that anyone has asked that question, he was impressed and reposnded.

“I am from universe 9. My race is know as aqualias and our environment is under water. Hence, you can think of me as a fishman.”

Jim thought about what he could use to find a weakness. He thought that maybe electricity would be his weakspot but he did not know any electric attacks. Rick could obviously read Jim’s mind and told that he was weak to electric attacks but the difference in tiers would make it negligible.

Jim took out his sword and got into a fighting stance. Rick pulled out a lance and prepared himself. With the reach advantage, Jim would have an advantage once he got inside. Jim summoned 5 clones including Jake and Sera. As soon as he summoned the clones, Jim activated super sight and looked for a time escalator but he focused on a time escalator that was moving the slowest. Jim jumped on a time escalator that was moving very slow. Before he jumped on the time escalator, he threw a rock above Rick’s head to grab his attention. Jim was successful as he made Rick look up. As soon as Jim disappeared all 5 clones moved in different directions. Rick was impressed as he was aware of the ninja class. Like everyone else, this class was not popular in his universe due to the immense amount of control to even lift 1 finger of a clone. To simultaneously move 5 clones was beyond impressive. Rick easily profiled Jim as a genius. As the clones started to move in, they all threw rocks at Rick.

Rick responded “Is this all that you have to offer”

Afterwards, Rick created bubbles which rebounded all of the rocks. As soon as all the rocks rebounded from the bubbles Rick approached a clone and whacked him with his stick. He followed up until there was only 1 clone left. Rick already knew that Jim was hiding somewhere and was waiting for him to appear. Jim appeared behind him and slashed vertically. Rick split his lance into two mini lances and blocked both attacks. Rick was impressed with Jim’s physical strength as he was getting pushed back even though he limited his strength to tier 2. Jim received a shock as well. He thought that he would be able to cut through the stick with his mana blade. He wasn’t sure but his mana blade was not able to slice through the lance almost like he was trying to cut oil. Jim backed off and asked if he coated his weapon with something. Rick did not respond and charged at Jim. Jim repeated by summoning 5 clones and moving in 6 different directions. Rick was annoyed and summoned more bubbles. This time, the bubble moved like needles towards the 5 clones including himself. Jim jumped on a time escalator and watched the bubbles pierce the clones. This time Rick was staring at an empty space. Jim was surprised that he could see him.

Rick said “I am the floor manager of the library of time. What kind of manager would I be if I cant event tell your using techniques related to time”

Jim got off the time escalator and asked how come hes not using the time esclators.

Rick responded “You have to have tier 6 to use time skills. You are talented to use them when you have not reached tier 1. Let me guess, you are an apostle from the god of time”

Jim responded “I am not an apostle from the god of time”

Rick was shocked. How could a player be this skilled with time techniques. Jim technically didn’t lie as he was not the apostle of Sera. As Rick was lost in thought Jim tried to use the bubble technique from Rick. However, Jim did not have control of water nearby so he used what was free. The air around them was encased by bubbles. Rick almost died from shock. That was a self created technique. Jim had a similar idea when he was trying to create a sword wave. Instead encasing the air in a bubble was much easier. Rick laughed as he was thinking how dangerous air bubbles could be. Jim was glad that he didn’t take this seriously as he threw a needle with high frequency mana attached to it. As soon as the needle touched a bubble, it exploded from the friction of the needle and the air. As one bubble exploded, multiple bubbles exploded creating a cloud of smoke in the battle field. Jim summoned Jake who placed him hands together and slammed both of his hands to the floor. As he was preparing the motion, Jim started praying to provide him a 10 percent buff to his attack. After the smoke cleared, Rick ran out with his spear to split Jim in half. Jim blocked in time. However, as soon as he blocked a spear came out of the original spear aiming for Jim’s head. Rick was saddened that this duel would have to end so soon as he did not get visitors often. However, Rick would be disappointed as the spear that came out of the original spear was grabbed by Sera. Her arm appeared from his shoulder to grab the spear stopping it from reaching Jim’s head. Jim and Rick were both surprised and either person did not expect this. That spear traveled in an instant and look heavy. Sera didn’t look like she was using a technique but just grabbed it with her bare hands. Hidden perception kicked in without anyone knowing since Sera did not move at all during the battle. Meanwhile, Jake started his praying motion by placing his hands together and slapped them together one more time to create two golden palms which squished Rick like a fly.

The duel ended as the system recognized that Rick’s HP lost.
