35 – (Season 1) Ranked item 985 Luciel Radiant Spear
The holy church members created a silent room for privacy as they were going to discuss the real mission. After the church members created a silent barrier, Michele started speaking. They were tasked to bring back a holy weapon. Within the church, there are few artifacts which hold significance to the church in both symbols and power. Their strength can only be used by followers of the church and are ranked through the churches appraisal system. Within useful artifacts, the church has listed over 1,000 artifacts. Anything above number 1000 is at best above ordinary, however, there was a significant jump in what makes an artifact numbered below 1,000. There were stories and legends written how a single artifact ended wars and defeated the hell army back underground. Even in the future, some of these weapons were never discovered. The highest numbered artifact was ranked 794 in the future and its name Apollo’s fists allowed a fighter to rise the ranks to one of the top ranked fighter classes. Legends were recorded as he single handedly defeated a raid boss due to the weapon.
This brought significance to the mission as the church received information about Luciel’s Radiant Spear within the dungeon. All the church members except Michele gasped in the presence of a holy artifact. Even though Jim knew the significance of a ranked item under 1,000, Jake was in control of the main body. To not raise suspicion, Jake also gasped with the church members. When Michele asked if he has heard about this holy artifact, Jake responded by insisting that he did not know the significance of this item. Michele was confused and asked why he gasped. Jake admitted that everyone else here gasped so he just went along with it. Everyone started laughing uncontrollably as it was one of the funnier things they heard in a while. Michele was included in the laughter as she never met a guy quite like Jake.
Michele concluded that while the information may not be accurate, it is highly likely that defeating the lesser demon may reward the winning team the artifact. Michele asked for Jakes cooperation if he receives the item that he will be genereously rewarded if he gifts the item to the church. Jake and Jim didn’t think much of it as they could not use the item as it is a church exclusive item and they were keen on joining the church of damian.
Jake agreed that he will return the spear if he receives it as a reward. After discussing the ranked item, the group discussed battle plans. The church was impressed with Jakes leadership and ability to deal damage and play a buffing role. They never saw a player that could provide a buff as large as Jake could as normally there would be a limit to players receiving the buff such as staying within a certain area. Other buffs may be granted per player but is usually limited to small parties around 5-10 players max. The per player buff was stronger but limited to a small amount of players. Jakes buff did not have this issue as all of his party members received the buff and stacked with Michele’s buff. Normally, when there are multiple buffs, they would not stack and the strongest buff would be applied to a player. Jake’s buff was unique in that it was a separate buff that stacked with everyone’s buff. Everyone assumed that he had a hidden class which was true to some extent but his buffing abilities was a unique talent born from Jake when he was still a ninja class. While he is a hidden class now, he hasn’t learned anything about his new class yet.

Discussions ensued to keep Jakes buff active at all times and the church will protect him as best as they can. The church members were confident in succeeding in the raid with everyone’s effort. After they discussed all plans, the silent barrier was undone and everyone went to rest. Jake went to rest as well while keeping his barrier skill active. Luckily, nothing tripped the mana detection skill he created and he was able to get a good nights sleep. In the morning, everyone prepared for the day as they ate food, prepared their gear and got ready to journey again in the hot desert. Jake quickly stored everything in his inventory again. As they walked that church members discussed with Jake about his inventory item. They wanted to know if they could buy the inventory item from Jake. Unfortunately, Jake refused as it was a bound item to him and no duplicates were found. The church was sad about this situation but knew that such an item would be a fortuitous encounter. As they hiked across the desert, they met more sandworms which proved to be of little threat as they found out the weakness from their weak skins. Jake just splashed a large amount of water and the players were able to kill the threat quickly. As usually, Jake collected the corpses and collect some sand as well. As they stopped to setup for camp again for the night, Jim kept pondering about the body reformation skill. How can he benefit from the technique. It was too vague and everyone would have their own interpretation of it. Jake and Sera were able to understand the concept of combining attacks with space mana; however, Jim did not think that this was the best utilization of his mana. He kept thinking, however, nothing came to mind and the night passed.
As they set out for the third day, they noticed they were close to large mana signatures. They observed the first structure since they arrived at this world. A large cave appeared empty. As the group got closer to it, Jake only sensed one large mana signature in the cave. He sensed multiple small mana signatures but they were so weak and faint that Jake did not count them as enemies. About 50 small mana signatures were found. As the adventurers entered the cave, the temperature dropped. The opening and pathway was huge as it allowed all players to enter at the same time.
