Chapter 76. Strange Sees the End

Chapter 76. Strange Sees the End

The energy in the Sanctum was getting more chaotic as Strange and Natasha stepped through the portal, next to where Abnegazar (the Prime Guardian) was still sweating.

"What's happening?" Strange wondered to himself.

The energy beam was no longer as inconspicuous as it was meant to be and it was flowing with so much ominous and chaotic energies.

"The OmniSight Aegis!" Strange recalled his spell for stopping Lex using the OA. He meant for it to enclose Lex Luthor, but on returning to Lex's last seen location, that wasn't what had happened.

He remembered seeing something spooky while replaying the events that had occured after leaving to amalgamate with the Will of Prime.

There was a an Eldritch form that had that flew towards the ground from the sky, and somehow it managed to detect his simulation spell. This energy also sensed him and even managed to tear through time and appear in the present.

"Oh no." Strange sighed, this time realizing what had happened.

He remembered not seeing the OmniSight Aegis wrapped around the globe as it normally did, but that didn't really concern him then. But now, he was worried that something terrible could happen as a repercussion for powering a shield around the Earth for so long.

"Corruption." Doctor Strange said, scanning the massive beam of energy before him.

He needed to do something, and fast. He quickly thought about a fail safe, and wondered if he could use it at this moment.

Razake had initiated a process of creating the Ultimate Spell that he was working on, preparing it for a time like this. But for some reason the details of the Ultimate Spell were not clear to Doctor Strange, and he didn't know how to activate it.

Moreover, he wasn't even aware of the concealed wrist watch on his wrist that was a powerful relic for the Ultimate Spell. Razake had concealed all the details for this spell from Strange's mind, and only he knew what it did and how he could use it.

"I can't find any detailed memories of the Ultimate Spell in my mind." Doctor Strange said, searching through his photographic memory.

"Unbelievable!" He cursed. "This clueless guy still has some tricks up his sleeve. He is constantly wiping my memory away even stuck in my subconscious."

"But I couldn't expect less from someone who can imagine and create search a powerful spell as the OmniSight Aegis." Strange partially admired. "I wonder what the Ultimate Spell is about?"

"However, " Strange resolved, "I shall find a way to send it back to where it belongs myself."

He moved closer to the beam, laying a curious eye on to it. "It's still actively drawing from this Sanctum and the other Sanctums, which means that it can be controlled."

If only he knew the specifics that led to creating the OmniSight Aegis, Strange could find an easier way to rewrite the OmniSight Aegis. But there was a big problem!

Razake only visualized it and didn't really chant any incantations leading to it's creation. As such, there was no manual for Strange to follow.

Doctor Strange then feeling a bit hopeless and overworked decided to peer into the future and see how much the odds were against him.

"Somehow, " Strange said as he opened the Eye of Agamotto ready for use, "I feel like I will need Chaos to take control again."

"This is all his doing after all." Strange said regretfully as he began to see the infinite possibilities.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

In his sight, the world took many turns as were possible. Moments of prosperity span across his mind as did moments of total chaos and destruction. But Strange couldn't make out what possibility actually happened for him.

Unlike Doctor Fate who can actually see the future, Doctor Strange with the Eye of Agamotto can only see possibilities of the future.

Things were about to get interesting for Strange, however, and for the first time, he would see a clear future. One that was guaranteed to become!

Standing on the tallest building of Metropolis was a confused energy amalgam tuning more into the Collective Conscious and observing.

Wrapped inside the body of a bot was the OmniSight Aegis, trying to discern what it's purpose was. Hexed by Mirage herself, the OA had lost sense of purpose given to it (unintentionally) by Doctor Strange.

It desired power, but not Lex Luthor, and these were the thoughts that were concentrating around it.

It's birthplace was the New York Sanctum, but it had taken the liberty to strongly root itself to the other Sanctums, constantly channeling it's current energy through the ley lines crossing the Earth.

Lost at what should be done, the OmniSight Aegis decided to write a future of power that guaranteed it's success.

A world where everyone got what they wanted, no matter what. The perfect Utopia!

In a swift motion of it's recently acquired body, the OA jumped into the infinite flow of time and wrote the end, limiting the infinite possibilities, and allowing Doctor Strange to finally see a clear future.

The OmniSight Aegis jumped to the future and waited in the End of Time, where a perfect Utopia existed!

At the same time, Doctor Strange got pulled in by the Eye of Agamotto to observe the future. Standing in the Sanctum were Natasha, Abnegazar and Strange, who was using the Eye.

But suddenly, a golden glow emanated from the Eye of Agamotto and engulfed Doctor Strange, and without a moments notice, Doctor Strange vanished from the Sanctum.

"Whoaa!" Natasha and Abnegazar were left surprised as the Demon wondered if he had been released from his captivity.

Strange found himself in a bleak nowhere with his body perfectly still. He couldn't move around, let alone flex his muscles easily.

It felt like he was in the middle of nothing, a void perhaps. That was the case as Strange was sent outside the flow of time, before being pulled back again towards The End.

"I never did like thiiiisss!!" Strange shouted out as the flow of time pulled him back, causing his body some considerable pain.

His movement was supersonic, however, and it didn't take long for him to get back. He opened his eyes and scanned around him, voluntarily turning his body.

The features, the buildings... everything he saw was unmistakable. He looked up to see the blue and the golden light and confirmed.

He took a deep breath, a really deep breath, and felt the oxygen gush into his lungs in a fulfilling way. He tapped on the solid ground below him as his muscles relaxed.

"The Earth." He said as he let his eyes feast on the activities going on around him.

"Looking good!" Somebody said to him with a wave of his hand to him.

He not only looked oddly content and satisfied, but he also looked familiar.

"Itadori." Doctor Strange said as he stared at the old apprentice, who had returned back to his fishing days, having been fed up by magic.

With him was a pair of strange, but healthy-looking, fish that Strange had never laid eyes on in his entire existence.

"Nice to see you again, Master Strange." He said, approaching towards where Doctor Strange was.

"What year is it?" Doctor Strange asked the question running in his mind.

"Year?" Itadori asked, then laughed. "Hahaha. Good one Strange."

"You know as well as I do that such a thing doesn't exist, don't you." Itadori said.

"Of course." Doctor Strange responded, trying to blend in with a chuckle.

"But really, it's nice to see you again." Itadori said, now close enough to extend his hand and shake Strange's.

Strange did a firm handshake, and then proceeded to feast his eyes on the surrounding.

"So much has changed." Strange said in wonder. "Everything looks so perfect."

"Yeah." Itadori agreed, also looking around. "I'm glad that I got the chance to exist in Utopia-616."

"Utopia-616?" Strange wondered to himself.

"Say what... Why don't you come over and meet the family?" Itadori asked.

"Family?" Doctor Strange wondered, now utterly confused.

Itadori didn't have a family when he came to the Sanctum searching for healing. At least, not a live one. His whole life had become a mess, and he was at the verge of despair.

Now observing closely, Doctor Strange noted that Itadori hadn't aged that much. In fact, he looked just a year of two older if anyone could try to discern his growth. Which meant that not so much time had passed ever since they had parted ways.

But how had so much managed to change in such a short span of time. No city could develop this much, unless something bigger was involved.

Was it Lex's doing?

"Sure." Doctor Strange responded to Itadori. "I'll be happy to."

"I'm glad." Itadori said, looking happy. "Follow me."

Strange turned to the direction where Itadori had been facing and walked with him. His expression still masked by wonder.

Everything just looked different! The world was not what he used to know. It looked and felt better.
