(OmniSight Aegis)
With my plans to set up the Sanctum Sanctorum as a place of protecting the 3 major power houses of my magic barrier in progress, I decided to explore the mystical locations in New York first.
I had even come up with the name for the barrier: the OmniSight Aegis, due to it's nature to see magic across the globe and alert me on highly concerning threats.
I had done some explorations on several places in New York as I familiarized myself with the city that I had once known, but none of these sites had what I sought.
I believed that the book or manuscripts I would find would have something about the Prime Sorcerer written in them, that's why in my hunt I had started with libraries.
I didn't find it, but I found some other intriguing things.
The New York Public Library, with its grand architecture and historical significance, was my first stop. Within its hallowed halls, I uncovered manuscripts and scrolls that described how to do magic. Some of it was right.
In the Morgan Library & Museum, among its shelves, I discovered a hidden chamber containing a dagger. The dagger had a dark and ornate design with a serrated blade. It's hilt had demonic symbols. I kept this in my possession.
In a small, obscure library tucked away in the corners of the city, the Magickal Archives, I found an ancient tome that told the tale of the origin of magic.
But my efforts weren't entirely futile, and I found what truly mattered the most: rumors.
One of the librarians described robbery incidents happening across the city. What made this robberies stand out was their targets.
High priority places in New York had been targeted, and valuable objects stolen; and the rumors hinted at Lexcorp's involvement.
I was intrigued by these rumors, because some of the places they had said would probably be next appeared on my OmniSight Aegis, and those that had already been attacked didn't have any magic signals.
There was no doubt that magic was involved, and the stolen items were relics.
(New Ambitions)
Lex Luthor had always been a man of contingency plans.
After a narrow escape from Metropolis following an intense showdown with Superman, he knew he needed a new base of operations to regroup and come up with a strategy to counter the Man of Steel.
The narrow escape was because on that day, Superman seemed to be in a hurry, rather than stay to fight with his all-time nemesis, and he instead chose to conclude things fast.
New York City, with its vast resources and bustling criminal underworld, seemed like the perfect place to lay low and plot his next moves.
Luckily, he had already penetrated it's vast network and set-up a branch of Lexcorp in it's shadows.
As Lex settled into a luxurious penthouse overlooking the city skyline, he monitored the news closely (for days, as he planned his next move).
It didn't take long for reports of an explosion in Gotham City and another confrontation in Greenpoint to catch his attention.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
His keen intellect immediately connected the dots; this wasn't just a series of random incidents. Magic was at play, and it could be the key to tipping the scales in his favor.
Ignoring it's existence would also prove to be a block in his path, considering the scale of the effect in Gotham and Greenpoint.
Intrigued by the potential of harnessing magic, Lex began delving into the mystical underworld of New York City.
He used his vast resources to discreetly gather information, seeking out individuals with knowledge of the arcane.
Rumors about powerful artifacts and spells circulated, and Lex was determined to obtain them.
His first step was to recruit an experienced occultist. Lex reached out to a sorcerer known as Felix Faust, a master of the dark arts.
Felix's reputation preceded him, and his expertise in magic was undeniable. Lex made a generous offer, and the two struck a deal that would change the course of Lex's plans.
Felix guided Lex to hidden enclaves and secret societies within New York City's mystical underbelly.
They explored dark alleyways, underground lairs, and dimly lit sanctums where forgotten knowledge resided, eventually going to government buildings that protected the knowledge of the arcane.
Soon, Lex was orchestrating robberies in these places, but his exploits didn't go unnoticed.
His activities appeared in the radars of the NYPD and the New York superheroes, among other interested parties. But this was nothing to Lex Luther, and it didn't bar him from pressing on.
He envisioned using his expertise in technology and strategizing to explore the boundaries of magic, and go beyond what it could do.
Lex realized that harnessing magic required more than just knowledge; it required infrastructure. He set up secret laboratories in hidden locations across the city, each equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by brilliant scientists and even more occultists.
These labs became the epicenters of his research into surpassing magic, with technology.
One such laboratory was located deep beneath the bustling streets of Manhattan. It was a sprawling complex concealed beneath an unassuming office building.
Here, Lex worked tirelessly alongside his team to unlock the secrets of magic. He developed devices that could amplify magical energies, creating powerful artifacts that would give him an edge over any adversary.
In another hidden facility, Lex focused on integrating magic into his arsenal of advanced weaponry. He commissioned the creation of enchanted weapons capable of devastating destructive power.
These weapons were designed to harness and amplify magical energies, making them more potent than anything seen before; inspired by the explosion in Gotham.
Lex also recognized the need for secrecy and protection. He fortified his penthouse with traps and reinforced security, making it an impregnable fortress.
Any attempt to breach its defenses would be met with a formidable response. He surrounded himself with loyal security personnel who were trained to combat mystical threats.
But Lex's ambition didn't stop there. He sought out individuals with unique magical abilities to join his ranks, even meager street magicians.
His recruitment efforts led him to a reclusive group of mystics who possessed extraordinary powers. Lex offered them resources, and a chance to elevate their abilities to new heights.
In exchange, they became his loyal followers, using their magic to carry out his plans.
As the days turned into weeks, Lex's knowledge of magic grew exponentially. He conducted experiments that pushed the boundaries of what magic could achieve.
He believed that with the right combination of science and sorcery, he could become an unstoppable force.
His ambition had grown to new heights, and his thirst became unquenchable as he thought about all the possibilities.
In just a short period of time, Lex had achieved a grand feat in taming magic, and was ready to show the Man of Steel, who was boss.
His constant menace in New York was one alike to the Man of Steel; Supergirl, and they were about to cross paths once again.
(The Plan)
Lex Luthor, now deeply entrenched in the mystical underworld of New York City, had his eyes set on his next ambitious endeavor.
He had gathered a team of experts in both technology and the arcane arts, and they were ready to execute a meticulously crafted plan that would secure him even more power and influence.
Lex's focus was a seemingly innocuous government facility, known publicly for its mundane functions. Nestled within the city, this facility was the perfect cover for what truly transpired within its walls.
From the outside, it appeared to be an unremarkable office building, housing various government agencies and departments.
However, behind this facade lay a complex network of hidden chambers, laboratories, and secret research projects that remained unknown to the general public.
He had gathered intelligence that pointed to the existence of a powerful artifact in this building.
Together with his loyal followers, they devised a multi-pronged approach to infiltrate the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The first phase of the plan involved reconnaissance. Lex's team, using a combination of surveillance equipment and magical tracking spells, had been monitoring it's security measures, the movements of its guards, and the patterns of its visitors for weeks.
They had identified the most vulnerable entry points and the best times to strike.
Next came the diversion. Lex had orchestrated a series of seemingly unrelated incidents across the city to divert the attention of law enforcement, superheroes, and anyone who might interfere with their operation.
Explosions, mysterious occurrences, and minor magical disturbances were strategically placed to keep the city's protectors occupied elsewhere.
With the distractions in place, what remained was the infiltration. For this, they would use blueprints of the bank that Lex's team had acquired.
They had also gathered information on the security systems, and the guards' routines.
Lex had developed advanced technology capable of neutralizing surveillance cameras and disabling alarm systems, allowing his team to move undetected through the bank's corridors.
The final phase of the plan was the extraction. Lex's team, led by Felix Faust, would descend into the hidden chamber and retrieve the artifact, and maybe more.
They would need to work quickly and efficiently, as they couldn't risk attracting the attention of unwanted company. It would be a covert operation.
But Lex's plan lacked one thing. He wasn't aware that the sorcerer who had set this ambition in motion would be present on the day of the robbery.
