(1000hrs)
I woke up with an immediate concern in mind - I needed a laptop.
As an IT specialist, technology had always been my forte, and I knew that in this mystical form, I could use it to my advantage.
While I now possessed a photographic memory, I couldn't help but feel the need to keep the knowledge I possessed organized.
Memories kept on clashing every time I looked within to find a solution to a problem, something that had constantly happened to me during the creation of the Ultimate Spell.
I knew what Doctor Strange already knew, but the knowledge from the comics I had already possessed kept on appearing randomly, feeding me new and expansive ideas that I wished to explore.
While setting out to establish the Sanctum Sanctorum, I would be constantly searching my mind, as innate knowledge guided me on what I needed to do.
Moreover, comic knowledge would keep inspiring new ideas, and that would keep on pressing me to try new things, which I longed to, but I also needed to set up the Sanctum Sanctorum without much time wastage.
I needed to bridge a gap between my comic knowledge, and my innate mystic knowledge, thereby increasing my efficiency and my performances of the mystic arts.
Furthermore, I felt that by doing this, it would make me a better sorcerer, reducing the time that it would take to become the Prime Sorcerer.
I had a plan to start organizing the vast knowledge I possessed. But before I could do that, I needed the right tools.
I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stretched, the sensations of my physical body returning after my astral adventure.
The Eye of Agamotto still dangled around my neck
Pushing myself out of bed, I glanced around my mystical sanctuary. The Greenpoint Sanctum was a place of wonder and secrets, but it lacked the one thing I wanted right now—a laptop.
The Cloak of Levitation elegant on my shoulders and the Sling Ring in my hand, I visualized the place I wanted to go, and without much effort, a portal formed in front of me.
The portal revealed a familiar street in the heart of New York City. It was a place I had frequented in my previous life—a bustling electronics store. I could almost smell the aroma of coffee from the nearby cafe.
I took a deep breath, knowing that this was my chance to obtain the technology I needed. But there was one problem—I had no money in this world. The Sorcerer Supreme didn't exactly carry a wallet with him.
I couldn't exactly conjure currency out of thin air, being Doctor Strange and all. The consciousness had principles that still remained with me.
I needed to make some money, some way, and get the accessories I wanted.
A plan began to form in my mind. I knew that my knowledge of the mystical arts could be a valuable asset, even in the mundane world.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
With a bit of persuasion, I could convince someone to part with the money I needed.
The New York sidewalk where I stood was as busy in the morning as I recalled. People bustled past as they took a break, seemingly unaware of the mystical power I possessed. I pulled the collar of my coat up, trying to blend in as best as I could.
My eyes fell on a street magician performing card tricks for a small crowd. His sleight of hand was impressive, but it paled in comparison to the magic I wielded. I approached the makeshift stage, watching as he deftly manipulated the cards.
As he finished his routine and began to collect tips from the audience, I stepped forward. "Impressive skills," I said, offering a polite smile.
The magician looked at me, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Thanks," he replied, his tone cautious.
"I couldn't help but notice your talents," I continued. "I have a proposition for you. A way to take your magic to the next level."
"No thank you. I already have a bunch of tricks up my sleeve." He replied. "I could give you a private audience for 500 dollars though."
"What if I showed you..." I said as I created a butterfly illusion in the air. "...Real magic!"
The experience with Zatanna during dinner still lingered within me, and I was excited.
"Whooaa! How did you do that. That's a brilliant trick. Teach me." He fathomed.
His curiosity was piqued, and he nodded for me to continue.
"I can teach you real magic," I said, my voice low and mysterious. "The kind of magic that can change your life. But I'll need a favor in return."
He seemed intrigued but wary. "What kind of favor?"
"I need some money," I confessed. "Enough to buy a laptop and a few other accessories. Once I have what I need, I'll teach you the secrets of true magic."
"If you can do real magic why don't you create a laptop out of thin air." He said, skeptical as he chuckled. The audience joined in in the laughing and chuckling.
I felt a bit offended as imagine the incredible power I wielded, and yet they disrespected me. I could probably do what he meant if I focused hard enough on creating the specific spell required to do so, but I wasn't planning on doing so.
I smiled and replied, "because magic has consequences and rules. You can't just go around doing whatever you want, and that includes doing this-!"
My feelings had taken the better of me, and I ended up doing something I wasn't supposed to.
I created two portals, one above him and another below him sending him into an eternal falling loop.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHH...!!"
He screamed nonstop as he fell, wondering when he would hit the ground in a devastating showdown.
The people in the crowed clapped and cheered as they marvelled at the sight. Eventually, I landed him safely, back to the ground, closing the portals.
The audience had grown in numbers and charitable donations flooded where I stood. Without meaning to in this exact way, I had made people give me their money willingly.
But I knew there were consequences for letting my emotions take the better of me.
I appreciated them as I gathered my money using magic.
The magician approached me with admiration as he presented to me all of his earnings for the day, his hands trembling.
"Take all my small morning earnings, but teach me master." He proclaimed, as he extended the hat stocked with cash - coins and notes.
Having gathered more than enough money to achieve my goals, I was inclined to decline this offer presented before me.
"Not yet, but magic is beautiful and wonderful...and more than just illusions. Anybody can learn it, but the weight rests on the consequences; such as which I might face for my little charade."
I extended my hand, and with a flourish, I summoned a small, glowing orb of mystic energy. It danced and twirled in the air, leaving the magician and the onlookers in awe, and in the midst of all this, I disappeared.
With the money in hand, I stepped into the electronics store. It was at the same place as it had been in mundane world, but it looked slightly different.
The store had a slightly different layout compared to what I remembered. The shelves, once meticulously organized, now displayed a variety of tech gadgets in a seemingly haphazard fashion.
It was as if the store had embraced a more eclectic and disordered aesthetic.
The overhead lighting cast an array of vibrant colors onto the walls, giving the shop an almost psychedelic atmosphere.
Large, retro posters adorned the walls, showcasing classic video games and pop culture references.
I couldn't help but notice the distinct absence of conventional signage for different sections; instead, products were arranged in a whimsical manner that encouraged exploration.
The familiar hum of technology however filled the air.
With my newfound wealth, I made my way through the store, selecting a high-performance laptop, a tablet for convenience, and various accessories to aid my efforts in organizing my vast knowledge.
As I approached the checkout counter, I noticed a commotion outside. People were gathering, and their expressions turned to awe as they looked up at the sky. I stepped outside, my curiosity piqued, and gazed upward.
High above the city, Supergirl soared through the air, engaged in a fierce battle with a formidable foe. Buildings shook as the clash of powers echoed through the streets. It was a spectacle of superheroic proportions.
Although part of me was tempted to join the fray and use my mystic abilities to assist - finally meeting her!, I decided against it.
New York was in capable hands with Supergirl, and my current mission was to bridge the gap between my comic knowledge and my innate instincts. Engaging in the battle would be fun but unnecessary, and I had a feeling that I would eventually meet her, even becoming her ally.
With a sense of reassurance that the city was safe, I created a portal back to the Green Sanctum.
Stepping through, I was once again surrounded by the mystical wonders of the sanctuary. Now armed with the necessary tools and a plan to organize my knowledge, I was ready to embark on my journey of self-improvement and mystical mastery.
