Dai Tian was inside his palace sleeping calmly when the powerful pressure descended upon the entire area. He was the first to react as he was closest. Bei Luo had gone out to the mountains to train and so he wasn't able to notice the incredible undulations that were taking place in the back. The eyes of the serpentine beast flickered open and it slithered itself into a straight posture instantaneously.

"This...This power! Where is it coming from?" Dai Tian closed his eyes and sensed the surroundings around him and then once more opened them after a moment. "The back? But that's where Feng Yun is located! Don't tell me that he had a breakthrough?"

Thinking about it for a little bit, he realized that it would make some sense if Feng Yun was able to break through. The boy had seldom experienced the type of body strengthening that the great room could offer. This type of new experience was bound to provide great benefits from the first time.

"No. Even if he suddenly broke through, it shouldn't be able to make me feel this afraid! This type of breakthrough he has made, the nature of it is far more complicated than just a cultivation advancement!" Dai Tian proceeded to hurry off at top speed to inspect the situation at his garden. All of a sudden, while going there, he had a horrific thought.

"Wait, if this ability is so strong that it can make me feel fear, then it might be enough to completely wreck my cultivation pond! No no no no no!" Dai Tian moved even faster, and a frantic look was in his eyes.

When he finally arrived there, he was relieved to see that the entire garden along with the pond was somehow safe, however, it was not untouched. The plants there drooped somewhat, as if acknowledging their inferiority towards the god-like power that had suddenly awakened from the boy. The small birds and animals that had made the garden seem like a Utopia had scurried off, to save themselves from what they thought was an impending calamity.

Dai Tian looked around, trying to find his disciple, and his eyes landed on the teenage figure of Feng Yun, bloody red weapons surrounding his body and a faint imperceptible expression of savagery contained in his eyes. Dai Tian felt shivers down his spine when he gazed upon the cold smile on his disciple's face. But he was even more wary of the weapons that orbited around him. They seemed to contain limitless power and a craving for spilled blood. Just what kind of technique was this?

"This...what did he gain from a simple cultivation session?"

Dai Tian looked over at the target that Feng Yun had in his sights and his face was frozen in shock. Before his eyes was a barren wasteland, the soil completely eradicated and the trees, having once stood tall and proud, completely lopped off. There were faint traces of bark from the eradicated trees on the ground,  but even those fragments were drying up and their life force was disappearing. Soon, even those bark pieces ceased to exist, not even a fragment remaining. Dai Tian stared at this in pure horror and fear.

'Complete extermination of all life! This technique, steals life from the very essence of the world! This...this goes against Heaven's will! Heaven brought forth life, but this art, completely steals it away and destroys it! Who was arrogant enough to defy heaven's will and create such a technique?'

Feng Yun was still smiling, seemingly never having noticed Dai Tian's presence. Slowly he began to utter his first words after the enlightening cultivation session. Traces of comprehension floated in his eyes along with a heavenly glow as he recited history.

"The Carnage Divinity...was a celestial object born from the Primordial Chaos purely to defy heaven. Supreme arrogance, a being that does not view any other being but itself as the divine emperor. It developed the Unlimited Soul Weapons without any fear of Heaven's Wrath! When it was finished with the technique, it waged an eternal war with Heaven's forces, one that utterly wrecked half the Universe and the Realm of Sovereigns. 'Carnage', that was what it was titled, after the destruction and disaster it caused. No matter what Heaven threw at it, it would always continue to kill and destroy Heaven's imposed will bit by bit. Complete Calamity!

Eventually, the Carnage Divinity became far too powerful to be left alone. Heaven sent...external forces to destroy it completely. They forged an alliance with the Demon Gods and the Supreme Void Monarch in order to exterminate it. Even for the eternally powerful Carnage Divinity, when it faced the Supreme Void Monarch's Void Element along with the Demon Gods, it fell. The battle lasted for five million years before the Void Element managed to eradicate its body. The everlasting Void aura continued to corrode its body for thousands of years, death inevitable. It is at its last years, and will soon merge with the Universe. Furthermore, Heaven decreed that the Carnage Divinity was never to be allowed to reincarnate and thus, it searched for someone to receive its legacy."

Feng Yun's eyes stopped glowing and suddenly, shock filled his body as numerous bits of information flooded the cerebrum of his brain. The entire quantity was completely imprinted in his head, and memorized.

"Arrogant and without fear of anyone!"

"Carefree and without self doubt!"

"Everyone submits to me and I submit to none!"

"My path is my own and those who want to block me should die!"

"Heaven owns all life? Then, I shall rip life away from Heaven!"

His body shuddered and a red vortex appeared beneath him, swirling faster and faster as he spoke the words. The weapons orbiting around him suddenly emitted an energy that tethered to Feng Yun's chest, sinking lower than him, as if bowing in reverence.

"The Soul Weapons are creations...manifestation of the soul's intent. They cannot be destroyed, for they are connected with the owner through blood and soul. The owner dies, the weapons die with him. As the name implies, there are unlimited weapons that can be used in the art. However, they have yet to be discovered, yet to submit to the owner, and as the owner grows in strength, so does the amount of blades he controls. The strength of the soul matters most of all. The stronger the soul, the easier it is to forge more weapons. Demonic Weapons, Celestial Weapons, they will all be converted into the eternal armory."

The ten swords around him stopped glowing and spinning in the vortex and calmed down. Then, they slowly began to disappear into a clear, transparent energy that seeped back into Feng Yun's chest, joining with his soul once more. Feng Yun's frenzy stopped and his enlightenment had ended. The boy snapped back into consciousness and surveying his new memories, he laughed out loud.

"Great! This is truly great! Haha, this...this is worth far more than any of my other abilities! The Carnage Divinity, just what level of cultivation had it reached to create such a terrifying art?!"

Feng Yun felt like bowing to this great divinity. It had given him one of the most powerful arts in the history of the Universe, one that was able to make even the great Heavens and figures above feel eternal fear. However, he still could not help but ask himself about those great figures that the Carnage Divinity had to fight against.

Who were the Demon Gods? He was very curious towards the Supreme Void Monarch as well. That major power was able to control the Void Element to the extent that he could destroy the Carnage Divinity, an entire world! Thinking about it caused his blood to surge uncontrollably.

He calmed down quickly and it was only then that he realized that Dai Tian was right behind him. The serpent was a little over ten meters away, his body completely pale and blood leaking from his mouth. Very quickly, Feng Yun was able to deduce what had happened. At a frantic speed, Feng Yun arrived over at his Master's side.

"Master, are you alright?"

Feng Yun knew that it was most likely his enlightenment that had caused such pain to occur in his Master's body. The Carnage Divinity's aura was enough to kill Asuras like killing chickens. But this was a mere fragment of its aura. Luckily, it wasn't a large fragment, else Dai Tian would have been crippled, if not blown apart into pieces.

"I'm fine," Dai Tian grimly said as his face regained some of its color. "But that does not matter currently. You...You made a breakthrough didn't you? I felt the great power even from the interior of the palace. What did you gain?"

Dai Tian had been suppressed by the Carnage Divinity's aura so he wasn't able to hear what Feng Yun had been saying and thus didn't know about the true nature of the Unlimited Soul Weapons.

"I gained a powerful technique from a distinguished senior." Feng Yun didn't reveal all of the details of the Unlimited Soul Weapons. Even if he did, it would be too confusing for Dai Tian to understand. He would then have to reveal everything about himself, including his reincarnation and Feng Yun didn't think that was something necessary for others to know about.

"I see, well good for you." Dai Tian sighed. He knew that his disciple wasn't telling him everything, however, he knew it was not his business to pry into everyone's matters and kept quiet. Inside however, he was thinking furiously.

'He's gained an ability that can make me feel terror, which means it is far superior to the Emperor level skills I have here. A Divine level skill? Impossible. Very rarely do those even appear. Most likely, he may find the Emperor level skills that I offer to be less attractive now that he has this. Whatever, it doesn't matter to me. If he wants to stay here, then he can do so. If he doesn't, then that's a shame.'

Feng Yun felt slightly guilty for not telling Dai Tian so many times, and secretly felt grateful to the old serpent. Dai Tian had not pressed him even once, and merely gave up when Feng Yun hinted that he didn't want to talk. Even after so many things had happened and the secrets Feng Yun had kept piling up, Dai Tian had never once expressed impatience. He merely accepted everything and let his disciple grow naturally. Feng Yun could not help but express deep admiration for his Master. His Master was someone who had a strong mentality and wouldn't let things get to him easily.

Feng Yun helped Dai Tian to his feet and assisted him back to the throne room. Later, Feng Yun went back to his room and lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling and pondering. He thought about how much he had grown since two years ago, when he had first stepped into the Xiantian Realm. He had experienced many trials that forged his mentality and strength, and all of which he went through with a particular young girl.

"Xia Qing, how are you? Are you doing well? Have you made friends? I'm sure your beauty has caused multiple men to appear already. Did you kick their asses after they pestered you? Did you know...that I think about you a lot? Haha, I don't know what to call the feeling that I have right now, but I want to see you. I want to see your face, and your smile. I've become far stronger than I was three months ago. How strong have you become? I'm sure you have grown as well."

Feng Yun muttered to himself and thought about the young girl that he had traveled with the entire two years. He felt slightly impatient now, and had the urge to see her.

'Soon. Soon, I'll be with you once more. Then, we can journey together across the continent again, this time without fear and restraint.'

HOLY CONTINENTAL ACADEMY

A young girl sat in a meditative position in the center of her courtyard, focused completely on cultivation. The girl looked to be approximately thirteen years old and wore an expensive white sect uniform, which made her look like a holy celestial being. A thin veil covered her face, blocking anyone from viewing her facial features but if anyone were to look at her now, they would be able to tell that she had a graceful and tranquil aura that would make anyone have possessive thoughts.

The girl continued cultivating for a few minutes, but after seeing the sun's descent, decided to stop and walked towards her estate, where she currently resided. However, when she looked at the golden sun, she was reminded of the eyes of one of her beloved.

"Feng Yun, it's been only three months since we parted, but...it feels like a long time to me. I want to see you. I wonder, when we meet again, how much will you have changed? Will you still care about me even after having grown stronger? Will I be able to stand alongside you with my own strength? I will work hard so I'm not a burden to you.

I'm waiting right here, and I will keep waiting until you come back."
