Alright. I had to brainstorm a few ideas after the Prison Warden encounter was over so I decided that I might as well do a timeskip. Lol. Anyways, hope you enjoy.
EDIT: All grammatical errors and weird sentences fixed and rearranged.

After Feng Yun's encounter with the Prison Warden, he had made even more efforts to train. His desire for power lengthened as he realized that he was too weak to access the true potential of the Void Manual. Feng Yun stayed in the cave where he had killed the ogre in order to cultivate as it was an extremely powerful source of spiritual energy and would assist in breaking through to higher levels. He had been making extraordinary progress and he had only stayed there for a few days.
At this moment, he was half naked, his cloak off and soaked in the pool of essence. He was seated in a meditative posture and circulating the qi within him while breathing in and out to accumulate more spiritual energy. The energy in his veins suddenly stopped being released and was continuously flowing in like a river. It was being held there and if kept there for a long time, the veins could explode. Yun didn't look the least bit worried however. His body suddenly began to glow and his whole body felt rejuvenated. Suddenly, the energy that had stored itself in his veins was released in one go making a terrifying booming sound that echoed beyond the cave.
Tempered Body 8th layer!
Tempered Body 8th layer mid phase.
Tempered Body 8th layer peak phase.
The energy that as released from his body appeared as if it was going to go for one more layer but then it calmed down until you could no longer see the glow around Feng Yun. Feng Yun opened his eyes while having a wry smile. He had bathed in the pool and had held all the spiritual energy that he had accumulated over the many months inside his body. Then, feeling it was enough, he released it and made a major breakthrough. Feng Yun had gone through a lot of internal pain in order to store that much energy in his veins. Truthfully, he had been hoping to break into the 9th Layer even though he knew that he could already defeat ninth layer combatants with ease.
'I can't be greedy. This is already enough.'
Feng Yun knew he wouldn't need too much time to break into the 9th Layer. He had just felt it as he was making his multiple breakthroughs. However, the energy in the spirit energy pool was dried up so he couldn't use it anymore. During his stay in the cave, he had made much progress in not only cultivation, but survival tools as well. He had learned to refine pills and elixirs under the instruction of the Prison Warden and had become quite skilled at it. The Warden had only nodded however and said that this was to be expected as Feng Yun was similar to "that person". Whoever "that person" was?
Feng Yun walked out of the cave his height having grown taller and his eyes had a newfound shine. They also had a very cold light within them gained from the numerous life and death experiences he had went through. His black hair had been tied up in a pony tail and he wore a long snow white jacket created from the White Kingwolf 's fur. It reached down to his knees and had beast fur around the shoulder portions.
He looked absolutely stunning. If his family saw him now, they would be endlessly shocked and have been unable to recognize Feng Yun. Every one of Feng Yun's steps reverberated throughout the Black Horn Mountain in small tremors but the numerous beasts residing there could feel it clearly.
Feng Yun had hunted hundreds of beasts and imprisoned their souls for pill refinement. Therefore, he had gained quite the reputation among the beasts of the mountain. In their tongue, they called him the "Slaughter Ghost " which, funny enough, was Feng Yun's exact nickname in his previous life. He looked as if he feared no one in the mountain.
The deadline was coming up and in a few days, he would be returning for the competition. Feng Yun released his aura of the Tempered Body 8th layer out into the mountain. If an expert were to see his cultivation, they would be endlessly shocked. Feng Yun was almost ten years old but had reached a shocking level already. He could probably contend with a Xiantian realm opponent for a while before needing to retreat with his current level of strength. Feng Yun held his Palm open in front of him while looking at it. Then, he clenched it tight with resolve burning through his eyes. Feng Yun walked to the edge of the platform and jumped off.
As he descended, he unfurled a large pair of azure gold wings and began to flap them. These were the Falling Heavens Wings and upon flapping, the countless lesser tier beasts on the mountains almost felt their bodies get crushed by the pressure. Yun had a smile on his face as he majestically flew into the horizon, towards the meeting location.
FENG RESIDENCE (Exact same time Feng Yun reaches the meeting point.)
"It should be that time eh son?" An old man could be seen sitting in a chair sipping a cup of tea with a serene expression on his face. He stared at the middle aged man sitting across from him.
"Hmm. Now that you mention it, two years has gone by in a flash. I wonder how the little brat is doing? Hopefully, he should be okay. If he's not, then I'm going to have to face a severe beating from Ling Qian." The middle aged man replied with a pondering expression.
"Haha, if it's that boy, it should be okay, Luo'er. After all, he is quite resourceful and experienced."
"Indeed father. He shall be fine. In fact, he'll be back much more powerful than ever."The middle aged man was Feng Luo and the old man was naturally Feng Lei.
"Luo'er, it is time for you to go pick him up," Feng Lei said.
Feng Luo stood up and walked towards the windows calmly. Then, he disappeared in a flash, leaving only air.
"Well, he should be surprised at the competition at how much power that boy has." Feng Lei said to himself. Besides Ling Sun, he was the only one who truly knew Feng Yun's level of strength.
MEETING POINT
Feng Yun dropped from the air and landed on a small cliff in a bowing position as his feet gracefully touched the ground. His wings had come back into his body and he lifted his head and stood there, waiting. It had taken a few days to get there for him despite his wings being that of a sovereign. His sovereign wings couldn't last too long as Feng Yun's strength was too weak and could go on for about a day before having to proceed on foot. But Feng Yun had amassed quite a large amount of spiritual energy and the supply that he could store had greatly risen from bathing in the pool. As long as he continued to refine the spiritual energy, then he could grow in his cultivation albeit not as fast, but with a lot more efficiency and power. He stared at the empty air, sensing his surroundings. After a while, Feng Yun closed his eyes and whispered.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
"He's here."
A minute later, a distortion in space occurred and a small spatial tear formed. A figure stepped out of it with a certain gracefulness. The figure was Feng Luo. He appeared to be surveying his surroundings trying to see whether his son was around or not. As he looked around, he could detect a faint presence coming from around a few meters away. It was faint but Feng Luo could feel the killing intent reeking off of the presence.
Feng Yun's killing intent could not be masked as it had been built up to such a point that it couldn't be reversed over the course of his experiences. Although he didn't mean for it to be a threat towards Feng Luo, it had appeared so. He narrowed his eyes and wondered which person it was that was intruding on the Cloudscale Sect's territory. Feng Luo appeared in front of him in a flash and attempted to grab hold of his neck to question the boy about what he was doing. Feng Yun however opened his wings and flew back a few meters and quickly closing them up again. Surprise flickered in Feng Luo's eyes before he barked loudly.
"Foolish boy, who are you? You should not be here. This is the property of the Cloudscale Sect. Trespassers will be killed."
Feng Luo could not recognize Feng Yun and attempted to gauge the information of the his background. Feng Yun remained quiet. Although he could prove who he was easily, he didn't want to just yet. He wanted to test himself against his father. Feng Yun took out his sword flashing with an oppressive aura and used his Wind Transferrer ability to appear in front of Feng Luo swiping the sword towards the latter's neck. Feng Luo felt slight sense of danger and used a burst of elemental energy to reject the sword attack.
As Feng Yun did a back flip, Feng Luo narrowed his eyes. He felt a strange sense of familiarity but he could not put his finger on it. The sword that the boy wielded made him especially wary. Who was this boy and why was he attacking him? Feng Yun nodded his head slightly as if having expected this and stood poised at a stance. Feng Luo decided to act and used an agility skill to get very close to Feng Yun's body.
"Cloudscale Evasion Arts Second Chapter-Wind's Acknowledgement."
This skill was an even more upgraded version of the first chapter, Merging with the Wind and when wielded by a truth realm user, could be said to be untouchable except for Asura Realm and high layered Truth/Tyrant Realm experts. Feng Yun was surprised but still had a very calm expression on his face. As Feng Luo was hovering in the air, he brought up his leg and unleashed a roundhouse kick on Feng Yun's temple. He didn't expect however that Feng Yun knew exactly what was going on and unleashed the Raiding Thunder Palm technique against the strike.
The roundhouse kick that was delivered by Feng Luo was not even half of his strength and was able to be blocked easily. The Palm technique had changed so much over the past years that the new Raiding Thunder Palm was almost unrecognizable. Feng Luo felt the lightning shaped qi however and took half a step back. Feng Yun skidded across the floor backwards and gathered his palms together. He then smiled slightly and said with some glee.
"Perhaps this will jog your memory a bit. Twin Dragons Harmony Torrent!"
Feng Yun released the two dragons and the torrential wave of soul energy at Feng Luo. Feng Luo's body shook as he instantly recognized the technique. He had seen it used by the chief of the Tyrant Thunder God Dragon clan chief a few times and was quite familiar with it. He quickly thought to himself. What would a clan member be doing out here? Then, his thought process clicked. As the wave almost reached him, Feng Luo took another glance at Feng Yun and his eyes lit up.
"Yun'er? Haha, of course it would be you. This character of yours hasn't changed one bit."
Feng Luo shook his head while condescending himself in his mind. When the energy wave reached him, the twin dragons tried to eat Feng Luo's heart but were immediately dispelled with the flick of a finger by him. Feng Yun sighed deeply to himself. Truth Realm cultivators truly were incomparable. He put his sword away and straightened his back while staring at Feng Luo in a relaxed manner. Feng Luo in turn, smiled at him and appeared next to him. He pat Feng Yun on the back and stood next to him.
"Haha, Yun'er. Who knew you would grow to such a level. You should be at the Tempered Body 7th Layer correct? You can already utilize the Twin Dragons Harmony Torrent so effectively. Furthermore, you have gotten even more handsome and beautiful than the last time I saw you. Haaaa, a lot can happen in two years eh?"
Feng Luo laughed heartily. Feng Yun nodded his head. Feng Lei, Feng Yun's grandfather had hidden his true cultivation from his parents on Feng Yun's wishes.
"Yes father, I have indeed grown. I believe that I am ready for the competition now." Feng Yun had a resolute gaze.
"Hmm, that's a good resolve but it will be difficult for us to get first place this time."
"How so Father?"
"I have received news that Mo Han has stepped into the 7th layer and is at the peak. Not only that, Xu Fangzi is rumored to have entered the 9th layer mid phase. Furthermore, he is only eleven years old. You can try your best Yun'er but don't overdo it."
"Hmmm, is that so? Well, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just trust me father. I'll be able to make it happen."
Feng Luo narrowed his eyes and suddenly realized that he couldn't see through his son anymore. The child that he had pampered since he was born had grown very mysterious and confident.
"Is that so? Well then, I'll put my faith on you. Oh by the way, they changed the rules a bit to the Four Powers Tournament. Since there has been a significant rise in geniuses lately, the Xu Dynasty has felt the need to include those recognized geniuses that aren't from the Four Major Powers to come to the tournament."
Feng Yun was incredibly surprised. The Xu dynasty changed the tradition to accommodate geniuses that weren't from the Four Major Powers. They were quite open minded and didn't care about a person's status or where they came from. That meant...Xia Qing would most likely be participating in the competition, Feng Yun realized. That would be quite interesting. How pretty had she gotten since their last meeting four years ago. Feng Luo spoke, interrupting his thoughts.
"It is time to return to the sect. Your mother is worried sick and I feel she may bite my head off if I stall any longer."
Feng Luo put his hand on Feng Yun's shoulder and they disappeared in an instant. They reappeared a few moments later at the entrance to the sect. As they walked through the large gate, Feng Yun was thinking. He had a resolute smile on his face.
"I will win, no matter who the opponent is. No matter what cultivation my opponent has. They will all kneel before the King of all Assassins."
