One Down, Five More To Go

One Down, Five More To Go

Upon hearing the shout of the Zhou Clan Patriarch, the elders sprung into action. They immediately left their dens, where they had cultivated bitterly for many years and responded to the call of the Patriarch. Arriving at the scene with a great speed, the elders stood alongside the Patriarch and knelt on one knee. There were altogether six elders and every one of them had passed the age of sixty. White beards and long hair could be seen on their faces and incomparable arrogance in their eyes. All of them shouted simultaneously,

"We pay our respects to Patriarch!"

"En. I need you guys to do something for me."

"What does the Patriarch command of us to do? Ask and we shall do so without fail."

The six elders were incomparably respectful to their Patriarch despite the man being much younger than them. No matter whether the person had more seniority in terms of age, they would still have to treat the one with superior strength with respect. Such was the law of the world. Zhou Guan nodded and his eyes sharpened.

"Kill that boy for me! He has committed a transgression by having destroyed the clan treasure of our Zhou Clan! Destroy him to appease the Zhou Clan’s wrath!"

"What?! The one that Patriarch spent so much time refining?! Destroyed?!"

"Absolutely unforgivable! That was one of our sources of power!"

The six elders glared at the boy who had committed the horrendous acts but when they saw him dragonified, they were absolutely stupefied. This boy...was unexpectedly a member of a prestigious dragon clan! The elders who were originally planning on ripping the brat to pieces were now trembling in shock.

"P-Patriarch, the boy is a member of a dragon clan. I do not think we should---"

"It's fine. I have already thought through this. That kid belongs to both the Tyrant Thunder God Dragon Clan and the Cloudscale Sect. In fact, he's the heir to them, Feng Yun."

"What?!!!!"

They all nearly got a heart attack from the names of those two factions. They were the indisputably strongest factions in the Xu Dynasty. Only the Blood Demon Sect could match them within the country. Not only that, the heir to both factions, Young Master Feng Yun, was currently right here, right now! The six elders glanced at the terrifying and handsome boy with a new light now. They didn't know what to do now that their Patriarch had offended such a major figure.

"Do not worry elders. I have decided to appeal to the Blood Demon Sect. They have long wished to get rid of this genius. If we get rid of him ourselves, then the Blood Demon Sect will protect us from the other two factions. Do not worry about such details, just do what your Patriarch has ordered you to." The fear on the six elders' faces ceased to exist and they were now more confident.

"Understood! We shall obey Patriarch's orders!"

The six elders arranged themselves facing Feng Yun and they began to leak out a large amount of killing intent. Their desire to kill the boy before them had grown significantly. Feng Yun stared at the six elders with contempt and contemplation. Calling for the Blood Demon Sect wasn't a bad move, but Feng Yun understood that they were just barely holding on against the two factions. If the two factions decided to go all out, then it was likely that the Blood Demon Sect would suffer a bit. Though Emperor Xu Qinzheng's law prevented large scale battles between sects, these battles were usually conducted in secret so the imperial family wouldn't find out.

However, Feng Yun had no time to think about such things and could not persuade the people otherwise. Actually, he wouldn't have tried to persuade them anyways. Such idiots, they were best left alone to die in ignorance. Feng Yun scanned them with his inner sense and found that these cultivators were of the seventh and eighth layer of the Xiantian Realm respectively. He snorted and thought to himself, with my skills and multitude of abilities, I can fight against cultivators three layers above me. The eighth layer at this point may be a bit tough, but I can only grow through this. He had absolutely no fear in his heart at all. This was because...

Feng Yun was treating these people as his stepping stone!

"On other circumstances, I wouldn't have wished to kill a junior such as yourself! However, your life and death determine the safety of our clan. I'm afraid that we must kill you! Be safe on your journey to the Yellow Springs!" One elder said solemnly. Feng Yun snorted and replied with his deep and terrifying voice,

"We shall see who will be sent to the Yellow Springs!"

"Arrogant little fool! We are of the seventh and eighth layer of the Xiantian Realm while you are of the fourth! Even if you are an eternal genius, we must show you the distance between Heaven and Earth!"

The six elders summoned their Yuan Energy and applied it to their entire body. They weren't worried about not being able to kill their opponent at all so they decided to merely use half of their strength.

"Fellow brothers, I, Cao Zi, will be the one going first!" One of the elders with the cultivation of the seventh layer of the Xiantian Realm leaped forward. His eyes narrowed as he gazed at the completely dragonified appearance of Feng Yun.

"Die!"

Cao Zi launched a fist full of pure Yuan Energy straight at Feng Yun's body. The fist whizzed past the atmosphere at an extremely terrifying pace and arrived two feet from Feng Yun's body. The dragonified Feng Yun snorted in disdain and flicked his tail on the ground, causing the earth to split beneath him. Instead of dodging the incoming attack, Feng Yun instead lashed out with his own fist, colliding with his opponent's. The result was a terrifying explosion that rocked the fields. A figure was pushed back through the fog that materialized from the explosion.

The figure, was unexpectedly...Cao Zi!

Endless shock ruptured the surroundings as people adjusted their eyes to try to believe what was happening. There was a difference of three whole layers and yet the person who was pushed back was actually Cao Zi! Never had such a thing happened before.

Cao Zi narrowed his eyes and attempted to stop his feet on the ground. He eventually gained his bearings and looked up to search for his opponent but he found that Feng Yun wasn't there. A moment later, Feng Yun appeared in the air above him, a majestic dragon soaring downwards. Feng Yun opened his palm and out of nowhere, a black and white katana materialized.

Feng Yun slashed the Overlord Heaven Piercer downwards upon Cao Zi and also added the power of the Tyrant Thunder God Dragon's body to oppress him. The man looked up and finally spotted Feng Yun. Unfortunately, the strike had already gotten frighteningly close and Cao Zi found it difficult to block.

"Triumphant War Palm!"

Cao Zi used his own martial skill to deflect the incoming attack. The two powers clashed with intense might but Feng Yun's body was just too strong.

"HA!"

Feng Yun roared with all his might and increased the amount of oppressive aura surrounding Cao Zi. His two meter long tail also responded to his commands and flanked the man in the side. Faced with the combined attacks, of the sword and dragon body, how could Cao Zi not have trouble? The man cringed as his body was pushed further and further into the ground and cracks could be seen appearing on the surface.

Feng Yun gave one final push and the sword stroke completed itself, slicing through the martial skill and severing Cao Zi's arm in one go. Blood splattered outwards as the arm fell to the ground, limp. Pain coursed through the man's body but he forced himself to stay focused on the boy, who had transitioned to another attack.

Feng Yun saw that his strike did not kill Cao Zi and his eyes grew colder and colder by the minute. His speed multiplied with the usage of the Cloudscale Sect Evasion Arts and he arrived at Cao Zi's position in mere seconds.

“Knife Body Dance!"

Cao Zi's hands and feet maneuvered in a very graceful way as they fluently dispensed counterattack after counterattack against Feng Yun's offense. The energy glowed brightly in those specific parts and stopped the attacks cold. Feng Yun narrowed his eyes as a finger jab came close to his head and utilized the Wind Transferrer spirit ability to escape. He was transported directly to the man's side and lashed out with a sword strike. Cao Zi was surprised but quickly reacted, drawing his spirit, a light brown dagger, to block the blow.

"Hmph, even your spirit cannot stop me!"

Feng Yun unleashed the all powerful aura of the Overlord Heaven Piercer on Cao Zi and even the old man who had lived for many years could recognize the amount of power it held. The Overlord Heaven Piercer was definitely no ordinary spirit. It had power that made even beings like Warden nod their heads in recognition. Cao Zi struggled and was being pushed back further and further.

While the man was focusing all of his power on defense, Feng Yun maneuvered his tail to strike Cao Zi right in the stomach. And it was successful as well. Cao Zi only realized the tail strike coming far too late and was powerless to stop it as it crashed into his intestines, blood splattering everywhere and even catching on Feng Yun's sword.

It must be said that every part of a dragon's body was powerful and terrifying. No matter whether it was the legs, arms, head or tail. They were all deadly and contained a vast amount of power. To receive a direct hit from one would certainly not produce petty injuries.

Cao Zi clutched his stomach in pain as blood splattered everywhere. His eyes had turned bloodshot from concentration and although he was still alive, it was only barely. His life would end quickly if he didn't do something to treat his injuries.

"Bastard. You're much stronger than I thought. He...he, as expected of the heir of the Cloudscale Sect. However, to be killed by a junior who is so much younger than me...is an ultimate humiliation!"

Cao Zi's eyes turned red and he waved his spirit, activating a spirit ability. The dagger flew through the air with a large amount of spiritual energy surrounding it. The surrounding aura formulated itself into a sharp blade at its tip, focusing all of its power into that single point. This ability was most likely to be used as an instant killing move. As the dagger flew at him, Feng Yun closed his eyes and instead of retreating, moved forward to receive it head on.

He jumped into the air and spun in a full arc to gain momentum for his sword strike. Then, when the dagger came close enough, he roared and the sword collided with the dagger. The clash of energies ensued for a mere half a moment before the dagger was deflected into the Zhou Clan entrance gate. The gate collapsed from the power of the strike.

"No way, that was my ultimate last defense killing move! How?"

Feng Yun didn't give an answer as he sprung into action directly after deflecting the dagger. The other five elders saw this and panicked yelling,

"Fifth Brother!"

They were about to intervene in the battle but Feng Yun was much faster. In the blink of an eye, his figure was adjacent to Cao Zi's. The old man was on his knees and a look of despair filled his expression. The Overlord Heaven Piercer's blade rested directly at his neck. Feng Yun could kill him any time he wanted.

"Bastard! Don't you dare kill our Fifth Brother! If you do, no matter whether you're from a large clan, us five will tear you apart!" One of the old men, a cultivator of the seventh layer of the Xiantian Realm yelled at him.

The other old men similarly said such things but Feng Yun paid them no heed. He smiled coldly and gazed into the eyes of Cao Zi. The old man's eyes were full of terror and pleaded to Feng Yun to let him go. The boy only shook his head and muttered,

"If only you hadn't provoked me."

Then, Feng Yun slit Cao Zi's neck cleanly and the the old man's body tumbled to the floor, blood dripping out of it. The five old men as well as the audience were stupefied. An almighty cultivator of the higher Xiantian Realm, killed just like that? And by a little boy of the fourth layer as well? How inconceivable! Feng Yun swiped his sword to get the blood off of it and looked up at the remaining five elders.

"One down, five more to go."
