Become My Disciple!

Hey guys, I received a lot of feedback for the story in the last chapter! So, the story line I had in mind might change a bit due to the awesome ideas you guys are throwing in there to make this story as great as its potential deems it. I don't intend to be ignorant and completely forget about these great ideas. I had to change around some arcs in my original plan. I really hope you guys on't murder me for what I am about to do. But I only ask that you are PATIENT and have faith in your beloved author lol. Anyways, enjoy the chapter. I am pretty sure the title gave it all away lol.

Feng Yun was puzzled by the turn of events. Why would Dai Tian want Feng Yun to come with him as well? Perhaps it was because Feng Yun had brought upon trouble for him. However, Feng Yun still did not understand Dai Tian's strength clearly. The fact that he had dared to exterminate a divine beast clan and still be so leisurely demonstrated that he was not afraid of any 'trouble' that Feng Yun might bring. He remained silent and looked behind him to the surrounding cultivators. They all looked at him, still filled with shock and excitement from the previous events. However, within their eyes also held admiration, an intense admiration that could not be stifled. If they were asked to do so by Feng Yun, they would kowtow to him without any regret or hesitation. Dong Fuzhen smiled brightly. He was glad that Feng Yun although indirectly, managed to help them avert a crisis. Xia Qing however looked at him with worried eyes, as if she feared he may be walking into a death trap.

Feng Yun smiled at her and gave her a reassuring glance that everything would be okay and that there was no need to fret. After that, she seemed to calm down and breathe.

"Alright I will come with you. However, I must ask of you that your nephew does not eat my fellow comrades...or me." He stared at Bei Luo's sharp teeth and shivered thinking that his blood could have stained those teeth.

"Bei Luo, if you are going to eat something, go slaughter a forest!" Dai Tian sternly said to Bei Luo. The monkey stopped for a moment before scratching his head and sighing.

"Alright alright. I won't touch little brother's comrades. Else that would be an insult to little brother himself." Dai Tian nodded his head before switching to Feng Yun.

"There. Is that better?"

"Very good thank you." As soon as Feng Yun said this he felt his body being wrapped around in a leather like tail. He could not move his arms or legs and panicked when he saw this.

"Don't worry I am not trying to kill you. The place we're going to is quite far so I have to carry you on flight to get there." Dai Tian's voice seemed slightly annoyed, thinking that this kid clearly forgot that he was the one who saved him. Why the hell would he kill someone he just saved? Feng Yun calmed down and reverted back to his tranquil and cold expression. Dai Tian charged a bit of power in his scales before charging out into the air. The sudden gust of wind blew Feng Yun's long hair out of its braid and assaulted him heavily. The feeling was incomparable to the time he had flown with Feng Lei! The speed and pressure was far from normal. Feng Yun felt as if his face would blow off at times. Luckily, the tough skin on the serpent's tail prevented this from happening. They zoomed past countless forests and mountains. Feng Yun had used this chance to check the distance between the Death Singer Mercenaries's current position and the end of the mountain. He was shocked to see that the span of the mountain range was actually so large. It seems Dong Fuzhen and the rest had underestimated it. It was much more monstrous in terms of distance than what they thought. By Feng Yun's calculations, it would take perhaps a couple extra weeks to completely overcome the Kaidu Mountains.

The speed at which they traveled was really too fast and eventually they reached their destination. Dai Tian slowed down considerably as they reached the place. Feng Yun looked below and was shocked at the sight that met his eyes.

It was a great stone palace, intricate in all forms. There were pillars outside the front entrance that held up the titanic ceiling. There were twin statues of a python in front of the gate. They held a vicious glare, as if telling people or beasts that if they dared to take a step towards the place, they would face their wrath. Even Feng Yun shivered from the look. The stone palace was much larger than Feng Yun ad anticipated. Between a couple pillars, a golden gate stood out. Dai Tian descended to the ground and looked at his home indifferently. He slithered among the soil and made his way to the gate. Bei Luo followed close behind.

"Senior, did you make this great stone palace?"

"Well no. As soon as I got here from the Immortal Fiendlands, I had apparently frightened a bunch of beasts and they started treating me like a deity. A bunch of Tyrant realm beasts as well as Earth elemental Truth realm beasts made this for me. I didn't really ask for it but they worked so hard on it, so I decided to live in it. It is actually quite comfy if I do say so myself. I call it the Black Death Palace." Feng Yun was shocked out of his mind. He made a 'bunch' of Tyrant and Truth realm beasts treat him like a deity. How domineering! Tyrant and Truth realm beasts held lot of pride, so it was very unlikely that they would be willing to work for someone else. However, Dai Tian didn't even do anything and they felt the need to worship him.

Dai Tian stopped by the large golden gate that gleamed in the sun. It seemed to be eternal and held its own awe inspiring pressure. The gate itself gave off an aura of death and that it would kill anyone who dared to come into the palace. Feng Yun didn't understand how a gate could give off such a feeling.

"Senior, why does this gate give off such a powerful aura? I feel like I am suffocating from it!"

"Oh yeah. This gate was once a normal gate constructed by those Tyrant realm beasts. At the time they were extremely low level. They could not even construct Tyrant Artifacts. So just for fun, I decided to make the gate a Tyrant Artifact. It now has sentience and can sense when the 'guest' is me or not. That's why it feels like it is going to kill you. You are not registered into its approvable guests." Dai Tian then let out a roar at the gate and suddenly the pressure around Feng Yun lowered heavily. His head didn't hurt anymore. The gate had opened wide. Glancing at the gate one more time, he was dragged into the palace by Dai Tian. They made their way through the complex halls until they reached a large throne room. At the end of the room however was no throne. Rather, it was a large resting mat made out of white furs. The mat had a golden gleam to it that gave off an aura of prestige. Dai Tian slithered over to the mat and snuggled closely. He had also released Feng Yun from his grasp, dropping softly onto the purple carpet in front of the mat. Bei Luo walked over and kneeled towards Dai Tian, in a way a disciple would greet his master. Feng Yun also decided to sit in such a position.

After a minute, Dai Tian still showed no signs of explaining what it was he was called for. Dai Tian seemed to just snuggle up to the mat with a tired expression. Feng Yun was curious and somewhat felt estranged over the python not responding to him. However, he remained patient and decided to meditate. He circulated the Yuan energy through his dantian and cultivated it, storing it in the bottomless bowl. He felt a refreshing sensation when he practiced and his injuries from before seemed to heal very fast. Bei Luo opened his own eyes and stared at the boy next to him in shock. Even Dai Tian's eyes flickered in surprise. Very slowly, a small smile crept up onto his lips. As I thought, he truly is a good seed.

"Kid, that's enough. I just needed to rest for a bit." Feng Yun opened his eyes and stared at Dai Tian, who now seemed wide awake. He straightened his back as he prepared to listen. Dai Tian too arranged himself in a less lazy posture.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

"Senior, if I may ask, what have you called me here today?" Dai Tian ignored the question and stared at Feng Yun before slowly saying,

"You have struck enmity with the Scarlet Phoenix clan. How?" Feng Yun decided to play along and answer all of Dai Tian's questions.

"Well, it first started out like this..." Feng Yun explained all of the details regarding the matter, not daring to leave out a single detail. He explained how he had murdered the Green Fanged Eagle and incited the wrath of Cheng Xu, ho desperately tried to find the killer. He explained what happened when he and his party entered the Kaidu Mountains. Talking about Bei Luo garnered a look from Dai Tian towards the monkey, who embarrassingly scratched his head. He then explained how he had insulted Cheng Xu, thinking he was going to die and which eventually led to Dai Tian saving him. After a long while, Dai Tian cracked a smile.

"Not bad kid. I like your foul mouth. Plus, that old bastard Patriarch from the Scarlet Phoenix clan must be shitting himself because of this humiliation. However, you are still too weak to deal with them." Feng Yun realized that Dai Tian's words were correct. He was too weak and now that he had offended a divine beast clan, he was going to have to get a hell of a lot stronger.

"Your talent truly is good. To have cultivated to the fourth layer of the Xiantian realm at your age shows that you have amazing prospects ahead in your life. However, merely by yourself and without a sufficient backing you most likely won't survive long enough to display this talent!" Feng Yun nodded with a grim expression on his face. He understood this fact completely. This was completely obvious! Why would Dai Tian be telling him this?

"I will be straight forward with you. Become my second disciple!" The words shook Feng Yun to the core. He had expected many things but he had never expected something like this! Be his disciple? Feng Yun was too shocked for words. Hurriedly he said,

"Your...your disciple? But why me? Why do you wish to make someone as insignificant as me your disciple?"

"I have a few reasons. First is that your talent is superb and that you have a high chance of becoming someone great in the future. What better disciple to pass down my techniques upon! Second, you have a pretty good disposition. You aren't arrogant, but you certainly have pride. Even though you haven't shown it yet, I am pretty sure you are a cold and ruthless person. This temperament is what I need in a disciple! And lastly, most important actually, is that Bei Luo approves of you. If my disciple approves of you, then it is absolute. All other requirements are secondary." Dai Tian's words came down like thunder to the stunned Feng Yun. This completely changed everything.

"However...Senior. My original destination on this journey is the Holy Continental Academy. I planned to train myself there with my friend and gain a master. I do not mean to offend you but this was what I intended." Dai Tian's face flickered but no surprise was shown on his face. It as as if he had expected this.

"Holy Continental Academy hm? Yeah, you could probably make it in easily with your talent. However, the people over there aren't that strong really. The masters over there are of the higher stages of the Tyrant and Truth realm but they are weaker in comparison to me. Furthermore, the headmaster of the academy once fought against me. Neither of us won or lost."

"I see" Feng Yun still wasn't convinced. The smile on Dai Tian's face still didn't change even after seeing the unconvinced face on Feng Yun.

"Holy Continental Academy is also rumored to have Emperor level skills! They are incredibly rare and Holy Continental Academy actually managed to get three of them. If I go there, I will have a chance of getting those skills!" Feng Yun was quite stubborn as he said this. When he mentioned the three Emperor level skills, Dai Tian's facial expression turned unsightly.

"Peh, those skills. That old bastard Shen Daoyi stole those from me when he stumbled upon my palace. I invited him in out of consideration for his power but once in there he tried to escape with three of my Emperor level skills. He used a teleportation talisman to escape the mountains. Gah, then he goes back to the academy and claims that he found them in some ruins. Now he is the god damn headmaster of the school. Damn that bastard!" He seemed genuinely angry. His face was red faced with anger. Feng Yun noticed this and was very well versed in the art of lying. He could tell easily when someone was lying. At this point of time, Dai Tian was definitely telling the truth. But the reality astounded him. The headmaster of the school had stolen Emperor level skills from him? If that was the case, wasn't it possible that he had more?

"Senior, you said he took three 'of your Emperor level skills'. Does that mean that you have more than those three?!" Emperor level skills were unrivaled all with the exception of Divine level skills. However, Divine level skills most likely did not even exist on the continent. The amount of Emperor level skills could be counted by hand.

"Of course! I have traveled for thousands of years and stumbled upon many ancient ruins. Even so, Emperor level skills are damn hard to find! I only found six! Half of them I can't even use! So, my only choice is to give them to disciples of mine."

"SIX!!!" Feng Yun reeled from the shock. He had made up his mind in an instant after hearing the number. Six Emperor level skills was an enormous amount. If he became Dai Tian's disciple, it was very likely that he would gain those skills as well as some additional things. Dai Tian was one of the peak existences on the continent! He was bound to have many treasures. At the same time, Feng Yun felt a lot of admiration for the beast. He immediately knelt on the ground.

"This one would truly like to acknowledge you as Master but there is something I wish to do." Dai Tian's eyes lit up and he quickly said,

"Speak speak. What is it you need to do?"

"I am very close with this friend of mine that I decided to travel with. Her original destination was the Holy Continental Academy. If Master does not mind, can I escort her to the academy and then train under you?"

"A friend huh? And she is a girl? Hm, that should be okay to do. Just come back as soon as you have finished this. Although I am not forcing you to become my disciple, I would truly like it. It is all your choice. My training will be severe, almost hellish. Are you prepared?" Dai Tian's voice was solemn and he stared at Feng Yun indifferently as he waited for his decision.

"I truly wish to be your disciple Master and I will work hard. I will escort my friend to the academy and then I shall come find you." Feng Yun's eyes were resolute. He had acknowledged this great and powerful beast as his master. He would be loyal to him until his death. That was Feng Yun's personality. As long as people were kind to him, he would be kind in turn. This was true for benefactors especially.

"Good. I shall give you a talisman. If you shatter it, then I will be notified and come to pick you up personally. You have everything you need. Now go!" Feng Yun felt his body dissipate into particles. The sensation was heavenly despite his body disappearing. In an instant Feng Yun had teleported several hundreds of meters away back to the mercenaries's location. His body had fully materialized and he could feel his hands once more. With a feeling of happiness he looked in the direction of the palace. Then, he slowly said,

"Three bows to the master." Feng Yun bowed three times slowly and with great respect.

"Then a kowtow to the master." Feng Yun dropped to the ground and kowtowed thrice in the direction of the palace. Then, he stood up and bowed once more out of heart. He turned around and walked towards the location of his fellow comrades.
