Feng Yun sat across his parents deep in thought. In a few minutes, they would be departing for the Spirit awakening ceremony which was located about a few hours on carriage from here. His parents had called him to discuss the details of the ceremony that would happen there. Apparently, the ceremony was one of the most important events to children and adults alike. By going to the ceremony, the parents would know about the talent of their children and if it was high enough, then you might receive marriage proposals and gifts from high class families in order to strengthen their relationship with each other. This would consolidate power for a family or sect and ensure prosperity. This was the main reason for the ceremony. Feng Yun's parents were nervous although they showed bright smiles in anticipation.

"Yun'er, Do not worry. Even if you don't have that powerful of a spirit, it's okay. We will not treat you any differently. The Cloudscale sect can survive without these consolidations. " Feng Luo looked at him kindly despite having an expectant mood.

"I understand father. However I know that I won't let you down." Feng Yun spoke with great clarity in his voice.

A servant came in telling them that the carriage was outside and that they would have to leave now. Feng Yun and his parents got up and strode over to the carriage. There, they saw Feng Lei standing there right next to it stroking his white beard while staring straight at them. Feng Luo had a look of surprise. He didn't realize that his own father would be here as well. Normally, he would stay behind to either cultivate or to manage the sect as he didn't like big gatherings unless they involved fighting. But today he was here. It was a big shock to him.

"Father, I didn't know you were coming. I thought you wanted to stay back at the sect. " Feng Luo asked with a confused expression.

"Oh come on, it's my grandson's awakening, how could I miss it? Anyways, I can skip a day of cultivation. After all, it will take me some time to break into the 6th layer of the Tyrant realm. Might as well enjoy the fresh air and outside."

The whole family nodded with a happy expression and sat inside the carriage with the exception of Feng Lei. He didn't like carriages. He preferred to fly instead. Feng Yun marveled at the strength of Tyrant Realm cultivators. One day, he too would reach that level of strength as well. With the speed of the carriage, they got there quite fast. He opened the door, his eyes getting adjusted to the beautiful sight that awaited him. There was a long stretch of plains. 7 pillars stood there in the center of them all of them a different color. They represented the seven elements which spirits could be trained in. Not only spirits but martial skills as well. That was where the ceremony would take place.

There was a large group of families surrounding the pillars all of them visibly excited. Feng Yun and his family went down as well. He saw men with blue robes and dragon insignias on them. Tyrant Thunder God Dragon clan members. They held a compassionate look but a fierce aura. They also held looks of pride but no arrogance. There were also men who wore red and black robes with a skull and an arrow imprinted on it. Blood Demon Sect. They had proud and arrogant faces eyes filled with contempt and cruelty within them. Feng Yun continued to stare straight ahead not paying any heed to the arrogance they displayed.

It was clear that most of these people had never experienced the feeling of cultivation that Feng Yun went through at two months old. They were all sheltered children who didn't know the meaning of pain. Feng Yun naturally wouldn't care about such ignorant fools.

Currently, the three major sects were all at the location. The addition of a few major families that obviously couldn't compare to the three great sects, turned the area around the pillars into a large crowd of people. As soon as all the disciples had gathered, a man walked on the stage illuminated by the seven elemental pillars. This man had black hair and blue eyes. He was the emissary and nephew of the Xu Dynasty emperor Xu Qinzheng. The man's name was Xu Lie. Naturally, he had quite a lot of status as he belonged to the imperial family. In front of him was a clear crystal that had not shown any signs of color. With a loud booming voice, he declared,

"We will now begun testing the disciples of six years old. When I call your name, please place your hand on the crystal orb. The orb will read your aura and communicate with the seven elemental pillars to provide a spirit suitable for your talent." Xu Lie smiled. Then, he began listing names. He started off with the lower families and made them go up to test their talent. They weren't that bad but they couldn't be considered to be too good either.

"Xia family's Xia Qing, please come up to test your talent." A girl around six years old walks slowly to the stage. She has a purple silky dress with a red knot in her dark hair. Her face brings an irresistible charm to it, her features well proportional and have the slightest bit of allure. In the future, she will definitely be like a goddess from the heavens, Feng Yun thought. She wasn't even 10 years old yet she already possessed great beauty!  Feng Yun's looks had him in many affairs that taught him a lot about women in his previous life but they could not be compared to the purity of this girl before him.

He stared as she put her hand on the orb. The orb began to glow a vibrant blue color and turned slightly frosty. However, there were signs of heat in the spirit as well. The seven pillars emitted two different colors, red and blue which quickly fused and we're absorbed into the girl's dantian. A large gasp could be heard through the crowd. Could it possibly be? A dual element spirit? This type of phenomenon was extremely rare. Although it could not compare to having three spirits like the Hundred Stars Adjudicator, it was much more useful than having two spirits. With a fusion of multiple elements, there were more variety for the types of attacks you could perform. In addition, one would have a stronger control over their spirit rather than having to control multiple spirits at once.

"Amazing, we need to investigate her. Isn't she from some major aristocratic family or something."

"I need her in my family. I'll give my son to the Xia family."

"Such shocking talent. I wish I had someone like that in my family."

Many people started to talk about Xia Qing a lot. This was already too good to be true. Even she was happy as she let out a smile that would brighten anyone's day. She had no arrogance with her as well. Wasn't she basically perfect? Feng Yun let out a breath of cold air. Then, the orb began to take shape into Xia Qing's spirit. Everyone immediately hushed as they realized that her spirit would awaken. A bright flash of light followed and the aura of a six foot tall and ten foot wing span white eagle with red feathers dominating one of its wings while blue feathers dominated the other. It had the aura of a king and gave a screech that made the crowd tremble. It loomed over them so fiercely that even Feng Yun felt some goosebumps.

"Ice Fire Emperor Eagle! Young lady, you are truly blessed by the heavens. This is a Heaven-class potential spirit. It holds the power of fire and water at its fingertips. It rules over other birds with its divine presence and power. If you were to evolve this beast at some point, then it would turn into an unimaginable existence!"

Xu Lie's eyes turned wide from the shock. He was filled with admiration. Spirits were classified by rank. The ranks were Mortal, Earth, Heaven and Sovereign potential. No one had ever had a sovereign-class spirit except for one cultivator, but he ascended to the higher realms soon after becoming a sovereign. All of the Asura realm experts of Wushu Zhicai had at least two Heaven-class spirits. The amount of power it could unleash was unfathomable. Xia Qing immediately became excited and quickly went back to her family to celebrate. A lot of the people wanted to curry favor with the Xia family hopefully even getting their sons to marry her. Feng Yun smiled. He turned his attention to the next few people as he cleared his expression of emotion.

Xu Lie called out two other names which made people pause their conversations. One was Mo Han, young master of the Blood Demon Sect and the other was Ling Zi, grandson of Ling Sun, chief of the Tyrant Thunder God Dragon clan. Ling Zi had only one spirit and that was the Heavenly Eyes Wrathwyrm. This beast was only second to the Golden Tyrant Thunder God Dragon himself.

Mo Han in comparison surprisingly had two spirits. This caused an uproar within the crowd! To possess two spirits would make you an eternal genius. One of them was the dark and baleful Devil's Judgement Spear which couldn't even be measured in strength. The other was the Berserker Devil divine ability which caused even Xu Lie, an expert of the Tyrant Realm 7th layer to feel fear. He didn't elaborate on it too much. It was a darkness type spirit. Both of them. He told Mo Han to use it well and be careful. This caused some speculation bur none could figure it out. Mo Han possibly had the chance to become an Asura Realm expert!

"Amazing, Mo Han has nearly unlimited potential. With two spirits of Heaven rank potential, he could possibly make it up there with the Asuras!"

"Indeed, he is certainly worth investing our daughters into!"

Many people discussed with a fervent gaze as they tried to figure out how to get their daughters close to Mo Han. The boy in question's eyes flashed with intense arrogance and a lofty disposition. He clearly wouldn't give two shits to the people below him. They were only good for stepping on. This was a cruel child, born one and will inevitably become one. However next was a child who may just surprise him and everyone else.

"Feng Yun of the Cloudscale Sect, please come up," Xu Lie said in a tired voice and smiled. He had seen so many geniuses today. How was he going to report this to his uncle Xu Qinzheng? Feng Yun didn't mind and while smiling got up to go.

"Yun'er, try your best. You do not need to want to beat those guys. Just hope for the best. It's okay even if it doesn't work out." Ling Qian said worriedly. Although Feng Yun was the son of great experts, his parents were still worried for him. After all, there were cases where children that were of royal status wouldn't be granted spirits at all!

Feng Yun nodded his head but truthfully, he wasn't worried at all. He wouldn't care even if he didn't get a good spirit. He would just keep cultivating himself instead to make up for it. After all, he had the Universal Bindings Technique. He walked up on the stage while everyone stared at him. Mo Han snorted in disdain while Ling Zi smiled and looked on with interest. Xia Qing also looked to see the handsome black haired boy put his hand on the orb and suddenly, the world became bright.

Feng Yun didn't know what was going on but a bright light had covered the surrounding area. The pillars trembled and the orb was shaking in his grasp as if trying to fight against a force when it suddenly broke. Six forces of different colors flew out of it so fast that everything else seemed like a blur. No one could see anything and people were panicking. What was going on? He tried putting some of his Qi into it but it instead began merging with it and following it back to the source, Feng Yun. He yelled in agony as six different energies passed through his veins and implanted itself within his dantian.

A huge burst of energy began circulating and his dantian began to absorb the elemental energy. Impossible, it should take me a few months but I've actually... jumped into Tempered Body 4th layer. This is impossible. My spirit? He looked at his body with confusion. Correction, spirits. Multiple. Just then, a sharp pain was being emitted from his head and he felt his characteristics begin to change. His previously silver colored eye had turned ruby red and looked as if it had seen the universe. In fact, it even had a slight demonic glow that made one feel like it had been possessed by evil. After a few seconds however, the glow darkened and no longer exhibited an evil feeling.

His long black hair had golden tinges at the ends and at certain strands. His body's physique changed as well. His arms strengthened and he could feel some muscles that were streamlined down his arm. He had even grown taller by a few inches. He had the body of a 10 or 12 year old yet he was only half that age. The light then died down and everyone's eyesight gradually returned to them. They stared at the orb looking for its results. However what they saw next stunned them. The orb had been split in half and in the back of it was the boy. He had one ruby eye and another golden eye. He was so beautiful that all the people there were enchanted. This was naturally Feng Yun. However, it was what was in front of him that stunned them all, Feng Yun included. Three beings of unknown origin hovered in the air their forms about to be unleashed. Realization dawned on the audience. Three? Wait didn't that mean that he---

A huge roar broke the silence. It seemed to shake the earth with its will. The audience was scared out of their wits. The orb grew into a enormous dragon about 25 ft long and had intricate designs on it. It had a crimson body and a golden head. The eyes were the exact same as Feng Yun's. It shone with the aura of a ruler. This was one of the highest ranked Demon nobility of the Immortal Fiendlands, the Golden Tyrant Thunder God Dragon. Feng Yun actually possessed it as a spirit! The Dragon clan was extremely shocked. Incredible, they thought. So this is what the first ancestor looked like.

Before giving them any time to react, another orb expanded revealing the shape of a sword. It was hovering with an equal tyranny to that of the Dragon but giving out an even more terrifying aura. It gave people the impression that the wielder of this weapon was a personal. Who slayed thousands of experts. Only then Could one Build Up Such A killing intent. It was a relatively long sword, the shape of a katana. It was the same type of sword that Yun used in his previous life. Except this one gave off the element of darkness and light like a yin yang stabilization. No one knew what sword it was. The last orb expanded as well creating a book.

Yes, a god damn book. Feng Yun originally felt disappointed but then realized that it was giving off a very peculiar aura. It seemed to have no ability at first, but then, Yun got the ability that it was much more powerful than the other two spirits. He didn't dare to read it right now because he felt he wasn't at his peak strength. Once he recovered, he would be fine. However, Feng Yun knew something wasn't right. When he had received his spirits, he had noticed six flashes of light. Shouldn't there be more spirits? Feng Yun wasn't greedy, only curious. He took a look at his dantian and was shocked. The other three spirits he was missing were locking themselves within his dantian. They probably didn't want to come out until he was stronger. Feng Yun decided he would try again at the Xiantian realm. He willed his spirits to return to him and they turned into a fused orb, entering his body.

He then payed attention to his surroundings and realized that people had been watching him. They all had their mouths open and were still hanging. Feng Yun scratched his head in embarrassment despite understanding the magnitude of the events that had transpired not a couple moments ago.

"Well uh. I'll go back now," he said feeling kind of awkward. He then proceeded to it next to his parents as if nothing special happened at all.
