Feng Yun woke up after another hour of rest and sat upright as he waited for his eyes to readjust. Looking around, he could see that his location was currently outside of the room and his body was on the floor behind the door. He wondered why he was there but then suddenly remembered the events prior to his current state.
"The golems, I managed to defeat them when I was heavily injured. However, my condition wasn't suitable for combat and I was immediately kicked out of the Body Strengthening Room."
Feng Yun stood up and analyzed the condition of his body. He saw that all of his injuries had been completely treated and his body was feeling much better than before. Even the impurities in his body had been cleansed.
'It must be due to the healing factor of the room.'
Looking closer at his body, Feng Yun could feel an additional feeling in his body. He felt as if his body was made out of iron hammers. He could feel in his bones a strength that no amount of calcium from milk could give.
"Hm, it seems that the trouble was worth it. My body's functions are being reconstructed and strengthened. If I continue with this training, it's very likely that my body will be comparable to Tyrant Realm cultivators." Feng Yun turned around once more towards the room. "However, I was only able to remain there for four hours. What other challenges lie in there?"
Shaking his head, Feng Yun headed towards the throne room where Dai Tian was located. The serpent was coiled up on his mat, one eye open towards the door. When Feng Yun opened the door, he was not surprised; in fact, he appeared to have been expecting him.
"Your session is over it seems."
"Master, your disciple was able to gain plenty of benefits from the Body Strengthening Room!" Dai Tian nodded his head and replied,
"I can see that. Four hours is an incredibly long time for you to stay in there for your first time. You should know that your Senior Brother could only stay there for two hours before being deported!" Feng Yun silently nodded and waited for Dai Tian to continue.
"Now that you have finished the strengthening session, I recommend that you cultivate immediately. You can achieve a greater effect when cultivating after you physically exert yourself beyond your limits. I have a small garden in the back of the palace that has a particularly high density of Yuan Energy. It's one of the reasons I decided to settle here. Go and meditate there. Who knows, you may even gain a spark of enlightenment!" As Dai Tian finished his speech, Feng Yun's eyes lit up.
Enlightenment! This was the phenomenon that was said to grant you great understandings toward martial arts and the ways of the world. When Seeker Twin Viper went through enlightenment, he was able to transform the water element that was supposedly passive...into a devastatingly poisonous offense. Who knew what Feng Yun would gain should he experience it?
"I understand Master. Thank you for the guidance!" Feng Yun then exited the room and headed for the garden.
When he arrived at the designated location, he was shocked at the level of beauty that met his eyes. The garden was a culmination of a plethora of varying vegetation and seemed as tranquil as a lake.
The garden was quite large, and the center of it held a small pond where some birds and small animals would play around. The sun's rays seemed to illuminate this spot particularly and Feng Yun could feel a holy glow being emanated from it. He lightly sensed the air around him and was shocked to feel that the Yuan Energy in this garden was far larger than usual places. Feng Yun could even breathe in the Yuan Energy and it would provide him numerous benefits.
"What a great place to cultivate! How did other beasts not discover this place before Master?"
Feng Yun walked down the steps that led to the garden's center, marveling at the beauty of this seemingly Utopian setting. Using his dantian to sense the Yuan Energy density, he found the spot where it was greatest and went towards the pond. Then, he sat cross legged in a meditative pose, surrounded by a holy light. Under the sun's rays, his handsome appearance was magnified, making him seem like a celestial divinity.
Feng Yun immediately submerged himself into the Universal Bindings Technique, his consciousness slipping away to the technique's core. He appeared once again, this time a mere apparition, surrounded by the vast multitude of planets and stars. Feng Yun sighed as he gazed upon their magnificence and power. He never quite got used to the feeling, even after cultivating with the technique for so long of a time.
"Hm? There appears to be some sort of change?"
Feng Yun had been stuck in the same solar system for the past couple years, and no matter how hard he had tried, he had never been able to advance. After being granted the Five Azure Pillar Strike, he had not been given any other special abilities, which led him to believe that he could only gain one ability per solar system.
However, at this moment, he felt the speed of the planet rotations around him begin to change and his body's aimless movement swerving in a certain direction.
"Ah! What's happening?" Feng Yun's body was suddenly becoming dimmer and dimmer as his apparition began to disappear. Then, he was blinked out of the solar system.
A moment later, Feng Yun's body appeared once more, this time however in a different setting. He looked around and the celestial objects that he had gotten used to seeing before were now gone, replaced by new ones.
The new Celestials gave off a different aura than the others. Rather than emitting extreme arrogance and defiance, these planets seemed to be very soft and calm, their power restricted. However even though this was the case, Feng Yun could still sense that they held enormous power.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
"These planets appear to be different than before. Have I finally managed to gain the approval of a new system?"
Feng Yun floated around, gazing across the multitude of them all. There were in total five planets and countless stars, and all of them had their own distinct appearances. One of them was a very tranquil planet filled with greenery and beauty, which Feng Yun had a feeling of peace from. Another planet was full of gases, both harmful and helpful, and they swirled together in a eternal storm that seemed to never end. Despite this storm however, the planet was perfectly stable!
"They're definitely far more different than the previous system. Furthermore, they have such great control over their enormous power. What kind of abilities are hidden in these planets?"
Feng Yun knew that the reason that he had been summoned to this system was because he had finally gained its recognition. The fact that it hadn't received him even after so long proved that the abilities contained within each of the Celestials was far grander than the Five Pillar Azure Strike.
"This must be my enlightenment! Which one shall I choose?"
He looked across the five planets and nodded his head at each of them. He was very much attracted to one of the planets, which seemed to change its surface structure by quakes every few minutes. This represented the ability to shake the earth and reform it according to your will. He was also attracted to the planet with the great control over gases, as it could possibly allow him to control them in order to destroy his opponent from the inside.
He looked at the two with eyes full of longing, but suddenly, he felt another presence calling out to him. Turning around, he noticed a planet that he had overlooked before. The planet was covered in a black deathly aura and seemed on the verge of dying completely. Feng Yun narrowed his eyes as he stared at the dying planet.
The black planet was separated from the other four and seemed to seclude itself. However, whenever the other four were near it, Feng Yun could feel a faint presence of fear from them as well as inferiority. Taking a closer look at the dying planet, Feng Yun tried to connect with it via the mind. This was an ability that he had learned over the years of cultivating with the technique. He could connect his mind with the planet in order to learn and understand it more.
The moment he patched his mind in, he was shocked to feel a humongous pressure descending upon him. The pressure completely surpassed that of the other four planets and could envelop him if it so chose to do so. Feng Yun felt an incredible fear run through his body. Unlike the other four planets, this one felt rebellious, and unruly. There was a deep pride embedded within its core and it had the might of a divine emperor.
"This planet, it contains so much power? If it is far superior to the other four, why is it dying?"
Feng Yun wondered in his head how something like this could happen. But inside, his heart and soul were trembling from fear and admiration. The ability contained within the dying planet was definitely superior in terms of strength to any of the abilities that he had with him currently. He remained connected with the planet to see whether there would be any other signals, and sure enough there was.
"Leg...Legacy...Legacy...Legacy...Legacy...Legacy...Legacy...Legacy...Take...Take...Take...Take...Kill...Kill...Kill...Kill...Kill..." The words flooded Feng Yun's mind in incoherent sentences, but for some reason, he felt like he could understand it.
Feng Yun smiled at the dying planet and nodded his head. Then, with his mind still patched up to the planet, he managed to send a mental message.
"I will receive your legacy. I will use it to destroy my enemies...like you want me to. I assure you that your supreme ability won't go in vain."
The planet stopped sending messages abruptly after that. Feng Yun took that as a confirmation. Then, his body and the planet began to glow brightly and synced together. Thousands of bits of information pooled into Feng Yun's brain as well as the ability's nature. A blood red aura surrounded Feng Yun's body and limitless power began to fill his body. When it finally calmed down, Feng Yun smiled in satisfaction.
He released himself from the cultivation session and his surroundings reverted back to the beautiful garden once more. He blinked a few times to get used to it and then stood up, stretching his body.
"Haha, this ability...it's far more powerful than I thought it would be. That dying planet...just how powerful was it in its prime, to be able to lord over those other ones."
Feng Yun closed his eyes and sensed the Yuan Energy in the atmosphere. Then, an incredible amount of power manifested upon the setting, colored blood red. His soul began to throb constantly and energy coursed through his veins. Then, with a single thought, ten weapons, ranging from axes to swords, to maces and other weapons manifested out of the power of his soul. All of them hovered above his head, aimed at whatever Feng Yun was looking at.
Feng Yun aimed the weapons at a forest of trees nearby, and commanded the weapons to strike the forest. In direct succession, the blades shot through the forest of trees, piercing around two or three of them easily. Furthermore, the energy contained in the blades utterly combusted everything it touched. After all ten weapons were deployed, the status of the forest was no longer recognizable.
The entire forest was now barren, a stark contrast to the greenery that it was before. The trees no had stumps and the ground's soil turned gray, as if the blades were sucking the energy and life out of it. Upon massacring the forest, the blades that were embedded in the ground fainted out of existence. Feng Yun stared at the barren forest in satisfaction and said to himself,
"Unlimited Soul Weapons of the Carnage Divinity!"
