Hey guys, sorry for the late update! I was having trouble with the sudden snowfall that has come in our area. It keeps pouring down and so far, about two feet deep! It is pretty damn weird, so my internet was shut down for a while. Luckily, it came back later and I can now update this chapter. Also, my midterm scores came in and I got in the high nineties! I am quite happy. Once again, thanks for reading my story and enjoy!

Feng Yun merely stood, there, eyes blazing with darkness, the pure embodiment of terror and death. The Green Fanged Eagle in front of him felt bad vibes coming from its bestial instincts and unconsciously took a step back. This aura was something she was completely unfamiliar with and thus, she felt more terror from the confusion that grew in her heart. This boy...just how many trump cards does he have up his sleeve? She was curious, but also hesitant to fight against him once more. After all, she had no idea the capabilities that Feng Yun could display with this unfathomable power! If, perhaps, this power was strong enough to overwhelm her, then she would have no way out. The Green Fanged Eagle possessed high intelligence and could immediately tell that the losses would be higher than the gains. What was important was that she get her eggs and fly out of the forest! She glanced at the eggs near her before resolving herself. The boy couldn't fly so it wasn't as if he would be able to stop her from evading him.
The Green Fanged Eagle made a smart decision and was able to narrowly miss a cut that Feng Yun had attempted to make while she was in deep thought. The black aura that swiveled around his sword continuously threw itself at her and made attempts to touch her. It's speed was not to be underestimated. That black aura is truly dangerous! It looks like the darkness element yet was much stronger than the darkness element. She didn't know what to make of it, which scared her. After all, most beings are afraid of the unknown. The Green Fanged Eagle took the chance that appeared when Feng Yun tried to recover from his sword lunge to flap her wings backwards towards the direction of her eggs.
Very quickly, and with precision, her talons grew ever closer to the eggs. Feng Yun narrowed his eyes through the black aura that covered them. He could see through the eagle's plans easily. It obviously wanted to make a run for it with its eggs. However, was running away from a person like Feng Yun really that easy?
The Green Fanged Eagle's talons skimmed over the multitude of eggs in her nest before grasping them firmly, but with a gentleness accompanied with it. The eggs were grabbed and the Green Fanged Eagle prepared to escape the site. She gazed at Feng Yun in an expression of triumph as if it had won the battle. However, there was not the slightest bit of disappointment in Feng Yun's eyes. Instead, he held a very charming and all-seeing smile filled with pity.
"Hmm flying...that would indeed be troublesome...if I couldn't do it myself as well." Feng Yun's back rippled and out came a pair of unfurled wings, blue and gold in all its glory. It seemed to give a feeling of dominance and sovereignty, as if the world should bow down to it. The pair was large and extended outwards beyond Feng Yun's back seemingly unfazed at the Void aura that incessantly pounded against it. The Void aura had found an artifact it deemed appropriate to devour, but unfortunately it was not so simple. The wings clearly possessed more power than the Void aura and suppressed it with ease. With that, the Void aura seemed to stop its attempts to devour the Soul Bone Artifact and changed its direction toward the Green Fanged Eagle, who was still in a daze from seeing those wings.
It honestly didn't have anything to say. It was so shocked that it felt its blood start to boil just from the sight. It got an extremely powerful feeling from the wings that seemed to make even her want to bow down in submission. This power, these wings...they surely must have belonged to a great ancestor of birds! The Green Fanged Eagle felt an immense pressure from this and further intensified her efforts to escape. It could be said that she was more sure than she ever was before that she mustn't cross this boy. To gain such a powerful Soul Bone Artifact, his strength would have to be incredible! The Green Fanged Eagle had lost most of its confidence in being able to defeat Feng Yun and looked straight ahead, at the horizon, flapping its wings upwards toward the skies.
"You think I will let you get away?" Feng Yun flapped his own set of wings, which in comparison to the Green Fanged Eagle's wings were holy. His speed was greater than the eagle had thought. With the strength of a sovereign level Soul Bone Artifact, how can it not possibly catch up to the eagle's position. Every gust of wind that went by his face made him grow ever closer to the eagle. The eagle grew even more terrified in her heart.
If she could not fly fast enough, she would be completely massacred!
Feng Yun frowned slightly as he began to notice that the Green Fanged Eagle had made changes in its flight pattern. The Green Fanged Eagle was making it quite difficult to catch her with the constant movement that led deep into the forest, to the high clouds in the sky. All this time, the eagle had never wavered and Feng Yun was growing increasingly impatient. He could not chase her forever.
"Five Azure Pillar Strike!" Instantly, five blue pillars of light struck out from the wings that incessantly flapped about. The energy generated by the five azure pillars was absolutely terrifying and could not be measured. Plus, the attack carried a large area to control, how could the Green Fanged Eagle possibly avoid it.
The Green Fanged Eagle, who was frantically twisting itself in all different angles, noticed the changed and glanced backwards. What she saw completely scared her shitless. The five azure pillars were so close to her and emitted strong bursts of energy that could probably fry her completely if she was to be hit directly. The Green Fanged Eagle knew that it was too close to her for her to completely avid it so she had to at least minimize some of the damage. The eagle made a sharp turn at the last moment before the pillars of light struck it.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Four azure pillars filled with blue energy struck the eagle head on and practically impaled several of her organs. The remaining pillar that did not hit her had soared off into a mountain, completely detonating the peak. Now, all there was left was a large crater on the top. The eagle gave out a cry as it began to lose control of its body. It could not execute complex flight patterns anymore to try and avoid Feng Yun. Very quickly, she dove down and sheltered her eggs with her chest, trying her best to remove damage to the eggs themselves. Her descent was inevitable and she dropped to the earth like a meteor.
BOOM!
Her large body made a large sound that reverberated throughout the mountain range and forests surrounding it. The Green Fanged Eagle was not in a good condition and thus, large amounts of blood poured out of it. One of its lungs had been punctured severely, its right wing had been torn apart, it was missing part of its left eye and a small hole seemed to cross her heart. She had fatal damage done to her by the Five Azure Pillar Strike yet she still remained defiant and tried desperately to cling onto life. It lifted its head with effort and dragged its body upwards. It seemed to be limping and scars were present all over its body. It let out a sharp cry that was filled with remorse and hate. It seems that it had already resigned itself to its fate. As it should, because its injuries were utterly irreparable and the only path was death after this.
Feng Yun landed on the ground directly facing her, eyes clashing. She left her eggs on the ground a meter behind her and stared at Feng Yun, anger and rage clearly expressed. It seems she wasn't mad about her now inevitable death, but rather the fate that her eggs would be subject to after she was gone. It was evident that Feng Yun would not let them go. He looked at her fierce posture that was filled with pride even on the brink of death and the eggs behind her and slightly sighed, feeling admiration for the bird he had tried very hard to defeat. He slowly said,
"Your actions are truly admirable. Your motherly instinct and tenacity all has me completely dumbfounded. I will tell you what, because I respect you this much, I shall not touch your eggs let alone extract them. I shall only take you. I give my full word." Feng Yun said this genuinely and with the most serious of expressions. The Green Fanged Eagle seemed to loosen up a bit in relief and believed this young and "innocent" child's statement. She walked forward slightly and emitted a strong Yuan Energy from her body. Though she was happy that her eggs wouldn't be harmed, she still wished to fight until she was dead rather than just wait for it to arrive. Feng Yun smiled at this and unleashed the Void aura out of him. He was covered in the same black aura as before. The Green Fanged Eagle seemed to show a wry smile, that showed she was terrified of the thing yet it didn't matter as she was going to die anyway.
Feng Yun leaped forward with his sword in hand and dragon spirit physique covering his body. He wished to give face to this great bird queen and use his full strength to win the battle. Void aura seeped out of his sword and struck outwards at the eagle. It took a few steps back before unleashing a torrential rain of talon strikes, each one exquisite and powerful to the extent that even Feng Yun wouldn't take it lightly. Inwardly, he lamented, this eagle really is powerful, She is able to fight at a good level of strength despite her injuries being so severe! He lashed out with his sword while constantly dodging the incoming talons that incessantly poured over his body. The eagle attempted to back away from the lunge and evaded the strike. Suddenly, the Void aura traveled out of the sword and formed a straight arrow of darkness that shot straight at the Green Fanged Eagle. It was not able to recover from its surprise and the arrow shot straight through the chest.
The eagle seemed to be shocked at the pain. She never would have imagined that the power that the boy wielded could be utilized in such a way. It was incredibly strange and unreal! However, the Green Fanged Eagle still had one remaining trump card left up her sleeve. She affirmed her resolve and lifted her claw. The claw then sliced at her throat, leaving behind a large mark. The blood poured out of it and gushed relentlessly. However, its direction began to stop moving downwards and instead merged together to form lines on the Green Fanged Eagle's neck. The lines were quite intricate and resembled a bright red bird as they finished. Feng Yun was shocked. What sort of technique was this. She couldn't be attempting to commit suicide would she? Suddenly, the blood stopped flowing entirely and what replaced it was power. Complete and pure power. A red aura began to envelop her and blood could be seen running down her face like tears. It was quite monstrous and the power it possessed was no joke. Just as Feng Yun was wondering what it was, a voice came in.
"Shit...how the hell? Feng Yun, you need to get away as fast as possible!" Warden's voice came like thunder. Feng Yun concentrated his thoughts into a reply.
"Warden, what the hell is happening here?" Warden hesitated slightly and was silent before responding.
"This eagle...appears to possess...a divine ability!"
