Gravely Batman voice: This is not the update you deserve, nor probably the one you want. This is t—*COUGH* *cough* Uergh... Ah, fudge, my throat.
A smidge more seriously, though.
I want to start by apologising, sincerely, to everyone for mostly vanishing without a word for several years. Especially to those who still checked on the story every once in a while and left comments. I read those comments, even if I was not exactly in the right headspace to reply, moreso without much news to share.
I won't bore you with real-life stuff and reasons why this or that happened. You likely don't care, and I don't want to talk about it.
Now for what you might care about: the story.
I don't intend to leave How to Tame Your Princess as it is. However, I cannot in good conscience, at present, give a timeframe for new chapters. The story requires a very specific mindset to write, which I am not really in right now. Once again, I am sorry.
On a more positive(? opinions may diverge) note, I have spent the past six months workshopping a new story. Yes, yes, I know... I really do.
The new story is a more "classical" Demon King reincarnation fiction, with a more serious tone than HTYP. The two-part prologue is already out. I have the entire first book already outlined and will be releasing chapters on a weekly basis.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
If you're wondering how committed I am to this story... I've been sending every chapter I write to my entire family for review. It is something I never did before, and I believe my grandmother now has semi-serious worries about my mental health after reading the prologue.
So... if you got some free time and don't mind checking an umpteenth cliché tale about a dead Demon King being reincarnated into a little girl—I mean... obviously, that's how the story goes—who is now suffering from crippling anxiety and remorse... Please check out Mistakes Were Made*

Synopsis:
> Kaydence never wanted to be reborn. Now, two millennia after her defeat and death, she is forced to reckon with a world that moved on from the carnage she once wrought. Tormented by all the mistakes she made in the past, she wishes only to pass her new life quietly until the gods claim her soul for eternal punishment. However, the world at large may not agree to leave her alone.

With all that said, until next time, I'm Batm— no, wait.
