Ω43.0: Life Grounds Carl

Lucia sensed once more the presence. It was nearer this time.

Much nearer.

She dove forward, grabbing on with one hand as she touched it. Her lips curved upwards in a victorious smile as the dim, lightless world that had been her prison for an unknown amount of time faded away.

She smashed into a hard surface face first, but such things mattered not to one such as her who possessed a divine body. She pushed herself to her feet and surveyed her surroundings.

There was light, she first noted with glee. Glorious, blessed light! But…

She grimaced. This light was so weak! And not only was it weak, it was blocked by some sort of fog, and she was unable to receive the full strength—the power—she otherwise would have.

There was light, but it was not enough to make her what she had been. Her senses were limited, her will ineffective, and even her physical form was confined in its capabilities.

A noise roused her from her introspection. Some object, appearing to her as a sleeker version of one of the steam-powered vehicles that the disgusting dwarves were put to task creating for her faithful, was before her in the middle of a long road, with nothing else of note nearby save for fields of a crop she knew to be called corn. A man leaned out one side of the car with an expression she recognized all too well. "Hey, sexy," the man with lust in his heart called to her, his words known to her as the words of all creatures were. "Need a ride?"

Her senses were limited, and she could no longer know all that she willed, but she was still able to divine small amounts of very specific information as she needed. She frowned. That wasn't right either. She was limited in even the amount of information she could gain over time.

Best not to squander that ability, she decided. There were many ways for her to get what she desired.

She grinned seductively at the man as she walked towards him, watching as his eyes roamed over her perfect, nude body. "I'd love a ride," she said, licking her lips. "How would you like to ride me to San Francisco?"

The man licked his own lips, his eyes alternating between her breasts and her sex. "That's…pretty far…"

She reached out and drew a finger along his jaw, feeling his lust grow. "I'm sure I can make it worthwhile."

She would use this human for as long as he amused her. He would know of this new world she had come to, and this would spare her the need to deplete her feeble reservoirs of power.

Her divination had already made her aware of where she needed to go.

Whom she needed to find.

She would find this Carl Theodore Weathers, and she would torture him endlessly after she forced him to restore her to her rightful place.
