Kazuto huddled on the floor in the fetal position with his hands clutched to his head. "Make it stop," he whispered.

He'd never felt so much pain. It seemed like any f—thought he had, the voice sounded out again, breaking something inside his ears and causing him to actually go deaf until his regeneration kicked in. He'd tried so hard to avoid breaking the rules, but there were just too many, and it was too f—hard.

His fingers touched the image of the room he was in and stopped, going no farther. The implications made his head hurt. Is that… He walked back out and craned his head up to look at the door on the wall. It's a portal behind glass?

The idea that he'd been duped by such a simple trick enraged him, and he struggled not to direct it at this fucking Carl—
