While all of that was happening, however, Reno was just doing his best to find water roses. He had gone some kilometers east at this point and found around 5 water roses.

‘I’ve been meaning to check out the inside of some of the treehouses but sadly, I’m not a trap expert. I’ll make do with what I can find in the wild for now

Reno then continued to walk down the path in front of him that was filled with bushes and some other random plants, weeds, and broken branches.

After around 20 seconds, Reno came to a complete stop and turned around staring into the branches of some of the trees.

“Please come out now, I’m not trying to play around during this outing, don’t waste my time”

Reno waited a while but no one responded, only the swaying of tree branches could be heard.

Getting annoyed, Reno upped the ante and this time made a threat at his stalkers.

“If you people don’t come out now, I’ll take a piss in my water container and wave the contents all around the forest, I don’t mind dying of dehydration to smoke up some creeps”

Hearing this threat, two people jumped out of one of the trees close to Reno.

“Ugh, even if you’re not on the same level as us, you should at least have some dignity”

One of the people who jumped down from the tree was Xander.

“Gross, I don’t think that we should stop at one limb, might as well do two”

The other person who jumped down was the guy who was scheming with Xander.

Xander nodded and then his face warped into a smile. “Sounds fine to me, as long as he doesn’t die, it should be okay”

Upon hearing what the two were saying, Reno remembered what happened when he had just come to this world.

Reno instinctively put his hand on his sword hilt.

Around 5 minutes into his journey on the eastern path, he felt as if some people were following him, but it was weird as he had branched off and left the others who originally followed the eastern path.

To make sure, Reno just went as usual and confirmed it some minutes later as the people following him were not good at stealth, he heard the tree leaves rustle occasionally and even slightly heard human voices at times.

Reno didn’t care if they were after him for his flowers or due to something else but he didn’t want to go too far or into any leftover treehouses where he might get caught in a trap and then become vulnerable, so he had to confront them now.

Seeing how far Reno was from camp and also that he was outnumbered, Xander was laughing at the fact that he’d get his revenge.

“When that gorilla sees how you’ve ended up then she will know the mistake of messing with me”

Reno just sighed. ‘I can’t believe that dumbasses like this exist. Those that just go revenge, revenge, and revenge. I could accidentally make their sandwich too hot and he’d want to get revenge on me for that.

‘If only they could put that amount of effort into anything else then they actually wouldn’t be worthless’

After laughing Xander ordered the other guy to capture Reno.

Hearing what to do the guy started running and then lunged at Reno.

“Don’t blame me, man, Blame your friend for getting you into this mess”

Reno rolled his eyes.

Reno didn’t have much room to move when using Quickstep but as the guy wasn’t expecting it, Reno easily dodged his attack.

The guy wasn’t trying so he didn’t overthink when Reno dodged his attack.

Not wanting to make himself like an idiot, the guy started to go serious against Reno.

The guy had a muscular physique and was pretty tall. After taking a deep breath, some yellow mist began surrounding his hands.

Reno also started to take the situation seriously. ‘He must be a brawler’

Brawler, term was used for those who use energy to envelop and enhance their hands or gauntlets so that they pack more of a punch.

Reno saw the brawler doing what seemed to be him concentrating so that he could envelop his hands in energy.

‘The hell, bro is using a charge-up skill in real life, I never thought I’d see the day’

Wasting no time, Reno took his sword out of its sheath and used it to slap the shit out of the martial artist guy who was trying to charge up some move.

When Reno’s blade and the guy’s head made a connection, he was already in a deep slumber as Reno didn’t hold back.

Xander was furious. “That was foul play, why didn’t you let him finish getting ready to fight.”

Reno looked at Xander as if he was looking at a dumbass, oh wait, he was one.

“That’s just called being an idiot! I’m not giving anyone the time to charge up some move to try and kill me, prevention is better than cure!”

Xander started to turn a bit red. “Even still, to have no hesitation in knocking out your fellow student.”

Reno just gave up on this guy and stood on guard. Entitled people don’t listen easily after all.

Xander then yelled into a tree. “Shoot him now!”

As soon as Xander said that, Reno heard the sound of an arrow whistling in the air.

As Reno’s parry skill had reached the proficient stage, he could easily activate it in less than some seconds as if he had trained with it for years.

Before the arrow could hit Reno, it collided with his blade and then fell onto the ground.

Not waiting for the next attempt to take his life, Reno ran behind a tree in the forest, opposite where the arrow had come from.

Xander smiled seeing this. “Yes, that’s good! Run like the coward you are.”

Reno frowned. As stupid as most two-bit villains act, they sure do have a talent for pissing people off.

What Reno, Xander, and his goons didn’t know, however, was that they weren’t alone.
