The next day, Reno woke up at the same time as the previous day. He didn’t need to use an alarm clock or something like that, as long as he knew what time he had to wake up, his body instinctively seemed to get up.
Reno did his daily morning routine, grabbed his uniform, quickly put it on, and went to the living room to get breakfast before leaving.
He also checked his combat evaluation sheet to see how much progress he made due to his focus theory skill.
Rank: F-
Focus [II] (0 hrs/ 10 hrs)
{Able to maintain full concentration on any task for 2 hours, during the skill duration, comprehension is increased} [Cooldown time: 22 hours] (Rarity: N/A)
-Focus (Theory) [II] (0 hrs/10 hrs)
{Must have the focus skill to use. After a session of using focus, the user can review the focus session and edit it before it is permanently saved to the brain.} [Cooldown time: 22 hrs] (Rarity: N/A)
Parry [IV] (432/1500) (A fundamental sword skill)
{A basic move that can be used with most weapons. Able to redirect the direction of an attack very slightly while also negating 25%{18%} of the damage received. {Calculated based on the user’s defense/vitality and the skill’s proficiency level}} (Rarity: F [Common]) [Cooldown time: 16 seconds]
Seeing his combat evaluation sheet, Reno couldn’t help but smile.
‘Not only has Parry reached proficiency four but even my overall rank went up as well’
Reno also felt like he was cheating a bit. ‘While others are sleeping to make up for how much energy they expended in the day, I’m also getting stronger while sleeping.
Reno thought about it a bit more and then shook his head. ‘I need to remember that others have vital cores and backing while I don’t have much so I shouldn’t feel like I’m cheating if others have been cheating since birth’
Looking at the time, Reno started to make his way to his first class. On his way there, he made sure to apply for the beginner blacksmithing course.
Some courses require certain skills in that particular subject. These were mostly the auxiliary classes such as blacksmithing, sewing, etc.
Reno had never tried blacksmithing before meaning he had to take the beginner class first, going into intermediate, advanced, or higher would just hinder him.
After seeing that his application was approved and he could go as his last class of the day, Reno continued making his way to his swordplay class.
Other than Grania annoying him for most of the class, it was like any normal boring class like Reno had in his original world.

‘Surprisingly enough, you’d think an A rank like a teacher Egon would be bad at teaching but he’s good at breaking down these concepts’
Time passed by quickly as Reno found the class partially interesting before the bell rang for his next one.
In his Rift Exploration class, his teacher Melia Opal was still a no-show, the only difference with this Rift Exploration class this time was that the teacher started going over some reviews from the last semester.
For the Survival 101 class, it was just a boring theory like the day before. The only saving grace was that there was no homework as the next day was a practical outing.
The main highlight of the day was the new blacksmithing class that Reno signed up for. He made his way over to the door with a picture of some old dude striking some metal over it. It was around a 10-minute walk from his survival 101 class which he was happy about.
He was about to enter the class but then the doors opened by themself and some guy was flying through them and were about to hit him.
[Parry]
The guy hit Reno’s blade but as it was dull he didn’t feel much pain before falling slightly to the right. Reno was pushed back but not by much
Reno then heard some angry shouts from the inside of the room.
“These damn spoiled kid annoyances, if one more comes to ask me to make a blade for them for free, I swear I’ll cut his balls off and hang them up on the wall”
Reno then saw a lady come out through the doors. “What are you looking at, you come with him?”
The lady had black hair with yellow eyes and wore a confident expression. She pointed at the guy that was on the ground.
Reno shook his head. “Nope, I signed up for the beginner blacksmithing course today, so I’m here!”
The lady’s face lightened up. “Really? Not many people do, let me confirm if you aren’t lying real quick”
“Teacher Emaline!! Did you get a new student application!?”
Reno was dumbfounded. ‘Since when did students have the authority to ask questions like this?’
A female voice replied to the lady’s question. “Yes, a Reno Mochizuki applied. Is he here, give me a minute”
The black-haired lady seemed to see Reno wasn’t lying now. “Give teacher Emaline a bit, she’ll be here soon. Glad someone else realizes the importance of blacksmithing.”
“Most people that come here just come and request stuff when there’s a proper order to things, especially the wealthy and bitchy snobs. They don’t realize that stopping already established orders for new ones, even if the price is higher shows a bad artisan”
While the lady was ranting a bit about wealthy people, teacher Emaline reached the door.
“I thought it was just a joke application, sorry but we get those at times by people who we’ve refused orders from. Could you please come back tomorrow when everything has been set up for you”
The teacher in front of Reno had an apologetic look on her face. She didn’t expect Reno to show up.
Reno was disappointed he couldn’t start today but he understood where the teacher was coming from, most students at the school were petty and when they didn’t have it their way, they always wanted to exact some form of revenge.
He was glad that this blacksmithing pool seemed to have good people in it at the least.
The teacher also swiped a file to Reno from her smartwatch. “That’s the beginner blacksmithing skill, start familiarising yourself with it for tomorrow if you’re serious about learning blacksmithing.”
After saying this the teacher went back into her classroom leaving Reno and the black-haired lady outside.
The black-haired lady then started walking to the left. “Come with me, we can’t hit some metal today so we’ll pump some iron instead! Let’s hit the school gym. I’m not taking no for an answer, my name’s Trista Ace by the way. What’s yours?”
Reno was going to head to the gym to look for a trainer either way so he didn’t have any reason to refuse.
“Name’s Reno, Reno Mochizuki. I don’t mind following you but I’m no gym bro, I was going to look for a trainer actually to help me out with raising my stats”
When Trista heard this, she smiled. “Sounds good to me, I’ll train you. You need muscles if you're gonna smack the metal good as a blacksmith either way.”
Reno was glad but he was also confused. “For free?”
“Yes, for free. I just about live at the gym either way so I don’t mind helping a newbie like you.”
“We’re taking too much time. You walk so damn slow, what kind of sissy walk are you doing. If you want to get shredded, you need urgency or else you won’t develop consistency which is vital to be a good gym bro.”
“Keep up or I ain’t training your dumbass”
Trista then started sprinting at world-record speeds. Her expression didn’t even seem to change though as if this was easy for her.
Reno started running as fast as he could to try and keep up with her. “What in the hell, her stats must be crazy”
“What kind of trouble did I get myself into.”
