Yuri ended up staying up thinking of possible items or preparations she would need before the bank siege.
She ended up buying a few pieces of hard leather which she drew some runes. The leather bits were fairly heavy so she ended up having to wear a small bag to hold them and her dagger.
She awoke early in the morning, barely getting any sleep and ran over to Jac’s mansion.
She was greeted by the butler, that was expecting her. He looked as tidy as ever, despite it being so early in the morning.
Yuri entered Jac’s room, and found both Jac and Galin laying on the floor.
They each had an arm over each others shoulders and a had a few bottles of some potent smelling alcohol strewn between them.
Sighing slightly, she picked up a glass of water that was conveniently placed nearby, presumably for when Jac woke up.
Ignoring the raised eyebrow from the butler behind her, she splashed the water across Jac’s and Galin’s faces.
The duo woke up with confused screams. Yuri could almost swear she saw a small smile on the butlers face he disappeared.
“Good morning.”
They were greeted by the impatient Yuri.
“Ha-ah, miss Yuri!”
Jac attempted to stand up but almost fell over in the process, accidentally knocking Galin back down on the floor.
“So, how did the strategy making and all that go?”
Folding her arms in a displeased manner, Yuri tapped her foot.
“Ah, hm. Well after I finished drawing up the plans yesterday. I discovered that you had forgotten your friend here when I tripped over him.”
Jac nodded at Galin.
“One thing led to another and we ended up having a drink together. Who knew a commoner could be such a great drinking buddy. I think I now know why you chose to trust someone like him. He makes bonds like a man should.”
Jac answered with a refreshed smile that made Yuri more than a little surprised.
“…Really? What the hell kind of bonding is that..?”
She in slight disbelief that the dwarf look alike actually saying the truth about being great at drinking with others seemed to be true.
“…I never did anything like that when I was still a man in my previous world…”
Yuri mumbled to herself enviously.
“What was that?” Jac looked at her.
“Nothing. She replied quickly. “Anyway, what’s our move?”
“Hm, According to your information. They are most active at night, since they receive supplies from the golden claw at that time, and people are less likely to detect them.”
He riffled through the papers on his desk.
“Thus. It would be best to attack during the day when most of them are resting or sleeping. They would never see it coming..”
“Right, but how do we actually get in there?”
Yuri asked impatiently.
“That. Is where you come in.”
Picking up a blueprint of the bank, Jac pointed at various parts of it.
“Now, this was confusing me at first, since there is only one entrance to the bank, and they are not using it. I wondered how they got in and out, but since in the information you acquired it said that they were using a secret tunnel. I have been able to deduce that the only thing they could be using.,is the sewer system.”
He pointed at a small line that went from the bank and into the ground.
“So..we come in through the sewers and ambush them?”
“No, no, even if they made the hole larger, it can’t be that large. Fitting many soldiers through there would be impossible. What I need, is for you to sneak through that tunnel and create an entrance for us from inside, by opening the gate from inside..or by other means..”
Jac glanced over at the hole in the wall that had yet to be fixed.
“I see..well I guess that’s fine..
Yuri had hoped she would get an easier role, like standing back and occasionally shooting some fancy spells, while the soldiers did all the work. Her hopes were crushed however, as she was forced to do actual work.
“It should be fairly easy to slip by them, since we now know their movements and when they change shifts. We also have the locations of all the traps their mages set up, so as long as you follow this map I made..”
Yuri was handed an incredibly detailed map full of scribbles and markings of how and when she should move through the bank.
“..It should be fine.”
“Alright, so when do we start?”
She skimmed through the notes on the map.
“Right now”
He patted the dust off his clothes that got dirty from sleeping on the floor.
“Now? You’re not even prepared, not to mention you and Galin are still drunk..”
She noted Jacs and Galins odd movements.

“Nothing a bit of healing magic won’t fix, besides I can prepare while you make an entrance for us. It would be suspicious if there was suddenly at their front door. I will wait until you are done.”
He began to leave with Galin following after him.
“Alright then, but don’t be late.”
“Aye, good luck girl.” Galin muttered while almost stumbling into the doorway.
–
A big metal plate located in a dark alley that stank more than a drunk dwarf was all that stood between Yuri and the supposed tunnel to the bank.
“This seems a bit heavy to lift alone..”
Yuri shrugged and drew some runes on the plate.
The plate disappeared, at least the part covered in runes and Yuri was able to easily climb in.
The inside of the tunnel was dark, and stank so much that Yuri had to cover her nose with a cloth.
She found a few lanterns laying about, presumably from the rebels or the Golden claw, and lit one before covering it with a cloth, keeping its light to a minimum.
She followed the map through the sewers and kept panicking whenever she heard the smallest sound, although it was always a rat or some other small creatures whose home she was intruding upon.
Soon enough, she reached her destination. A small barely noticeable hole in the ceiling, large enough to almost fit an adult man through. It looked quite crudely dug out as it gaped open above Yuri. A small stream of light hit her eyes from above.
A small rope ladder connected the hole to the ground, which Yuri gratefully climbed up, thankful to escape the stench.
A small trap door was blocking the way, which Yuri immediately opened, the smell almost suffocating her.
The light temporarily blinded her. When she regained her sight, she found that the room she was in was a bathroom.
“Of course it’s a bathroom, what else would have a hole connected to the sewers..”
As she was climbing out the hole, she noticed she wasn’t alone in the bathroom.
On the opposite side of the bathroom, stood a small crude toilet. On it sat a young rebel, with his pants down of course, presumably In the middle of something important. His face was red and his eyes shut closed, as if he was concentrating really hard on something, which made him not notice Yuri.
Resisting the urge to laugh, she activated a rune on her gauntlet and sneaked up toe the red faced rebel, punching him in the stomach.
The low buzz of electricity intensified for a second.
The rebel collapsed in his seat, and almost immediately after, a horrible stench filled Yuri’s nose.
“I suppose I did him a favour there..”
She muttered and quickly moved away from the stench.
“Now…let’s see here..”
Unfolding her map and looking over some of the notes, she found out that no one patrolled near the bathroom, even though it was an entrance point and most of the forces and patrols were concentrated near the front entrance.
“This should be easy..”
Yuri put the map back in the bag and made her way out of the bathroom.
Sneaking down the small corridor leading away form the bathroom, she found herself in a room full of sleeping rebels.
“Fuck…”
She cursed loudly before quickly putting her hands over her mouth. A nearby rebel grunted in his sleep.
She slowly tread carefully on her toes, stepping over peoples limbs one by one.
After what seemed like forever, Yuri finally managed to get to the other side of the room.
Sighing in relief, she began to walk towards the entrance when her foot was caught on a sword that was laying on the floor. Her arms flailed wildly while she flew face first into the ground, her gauntlets and sword making loud metallic clanks that accompanied her painful grunt.
Slowly standing up and holding her head in pain, she looked around to see if anyone had noticed.
All of the rebels were wide awake and holding their various weapons, ranging from swords to axes and spears.
“Awh…crap…”
The runes on her gauntlets were instantly activated when she found herself surrounded.
The left gauntlet began to spew out smoke that filled the room and made the rebels cough, while the right gauntlet buzzed with a familiar electric sound.
Yuri began running around the room, hitting everyone with the palm of her hand where a small ball of lightning was formed, knocking the rebels unconscious.
The rebels were screaming in confusion and desperately tried to find their small enemy, but the fog was too thick and Yuri was too quick on her feet.
Half of the rebels had already fallen to Yuri when the fog was sucked in towards a single point before vanishing.
A strong gust of wind pushed Yuri against the wall and made she couldn’t move.
Her limbs were held against the wall and she couldn’t activate her runes, much less move her head around.
“You have done enough damage as it is, so cease resisting.”
A voice called out from her side. Although she couldn’t turn her head to see who it was, her entire body was immobile.
She felt someone’s hands quickly search her. Her gauntlets and her bag which contained her runic leather bits and her most important knife were confiscated.
“Runic magic…impressive…but not good enough..”
The voice mumbled something incomprehensible.
The force against Yuri’s body disappeared and she fell to the floor.
Her body ached from the force it was subjected to. Slowly turning her head while still on her knees, she found that she was still surrounded by the rebels, unsurprisingly enough.
Right in the middle of the soldiers, stood a few individuals that distinguished themselves from the other soldiers with their long flowing robes that they wore beneath their leather armour, instead of swords they held books and small sceptres.
She tried to escape, but she was surrounded with her back against the wall, which she was thrown back against by the closest soldier.
“Damn it..”
Her lungs emptied of air as her body hit the wall again.
“How did you get in here.”
One of the robed men asked and took a step towards her.
“By following your stench..” She smiled at him despite being in pain.
“A rebellious one…ironic.”
The robed man grinned.
“We will see how rebellious you are after we are done with you…” He gave her a crooked smile.
“You know, the men here have been locked up inside for a very long time, and things can get a bit boring. I think we should let them have some fun every now and again right?”
Several other soldiers smirked at what he implied.
“Torture won’t work on me you know..”
Yuri shook her head at their amateurish threats.
“Oh I’m not talking about torture..quite the opposite really..well you will soon find out. I will be back later…then we will see if you are more talkative..”
The robed man and walked away into the crowd of soldiers.
Yuri was confused.
Her expression slowly changed from confusion to horror as she realised what was happening.
The soldiers were slowly moving towards her, their expressions were filled with a familiar taint that she also used to wear when she was still a man.
She tried to fight her way out, but was tightly held by her by one of the soldiers.
“It’s been a long time since any of us had a pure young girl..” One of them grinned.
“No, please don’t!” Her eyes were beginning to water. “Not like this…”
Her protests were completely ignored, as the soldiers began to slowly pull on her clothes.
Just as a small tear flowed down Yuris chin, the man holding onto her suddenly collapsed on the floor.
Yuri fell backwards as the force holding her up was gone.
From behind the now dead man, a familiar figure stood before Yuri.
Holding a plain longsword in his right hand, the figure threw off the generic metal helm from his face and reached out a hand to help Yuri stand up.
Tears began running down Yuri’s face, as she started to sob.
“Sorry I took so long..”
Hikaru said as he took Yuri’s hand.
