“Ugh..” Yuri awoke, a throbbing headache threatening to take her back to sleep.
“Eh..hangover…I don’t remember drinking..?”
Rubbing her eyes, she slowly got up.
She found herself standing in front of a large gate that seemed to be the entrance to a large city. The gates were easily several meters high and made from solid obsidian black iron.
“How the hell did I end up here..I don’t think this is Urnan..oh yeah..” She slowly remembered.
“I got stuck in the vault and drew a teleport circle..must have malfunctioned..I’m lucky to still be in one piece.”
She briefly made sure her statement was correct .
“Now where the hell did I get teleported to..at least I have my relic..”
She patted the relic still wrapped to her back and marched towards the gate.
Knocking on the large gate made her hand hurt, as it was made of thick metal. A small opening opened up slightly above Yuri’s eye level.
“Who’s there, identify yourself!”
A deep voice demanded from behind the gate.
“Ehm..I’m Yuri, I kind of got lost, can I come inside?”
She tiptoed in order to see inside the small opening.
“No. Now leave.”
The opening closed with a loud thud.
“That’s rude..” She knocked again.
The opening slid open again.
“What do you want. I told you to leave, so leave!”
The voice seemed irritated.
“No! Now listen here. Either you let me in. Tell me why you refuse to let me in. Or I break this whole damn gate down, you hear me?!”
Yelling loudly, she was jumping slightly in order to look into the opening, making for a comical and cute sight.
A pair of dark eyes squinted in the opening.
“..Listen here little miss..i don’t know if you are just fearless or stupid..but there is a goddamn rebellion going on here. Can’t let anyone in or out.”
He sighed.
“Now if you understand, please take your leave, this is no place for children.
“No, wait!” Yuri put her hand in the opening to keep it from closing. “What is this city’s name, and how do I get to the city of Tyr?”
“You were just stupid huh..” Another sigh “This is the city of Brokkr the god of blacksmithing. The city of the warrior god Tyr..well I think that’s on the other side of the dark sea. I recommend going back to your caravan or whatever and stop bothering me. There should be a city a few months away from here if you follow the road.”
The eyes in the opening looked behind Yuri at a large almost looking road that stretched faraway.
“But I have no god damn caravan. I’m alone damnit, I have no supplies, how am I supposed to make it there..”
Speaking in a low that Yuri used when she was planning, she looked down in concentration.
To the person behind the gate however, it looked like the young girl was on the verge of tears, while saying she was all alone. This was due to her holding her head downwards and it being fairly dark by now.

“…Fine I will let you inside..” The person inside said with a sigh.
“What kind of man would I be if I just let a young girl out in the wilderness by herself..”
The small opening closed and a small door in wall next to the gate opened up. It looked like something out of the Ninja movies Yuri used to watch.
“Wow, thanks a lot!”
Yuri smiled brightly while entering through the door.
Inside was a bearded looking, square shaped, flat nosed man that was slightly shorter than Yuri.
Looking at the gate from the inside, she noticed a small stool where the opening to look outside was.
“A dwarf…” She stared with a bewildered face.
“What is it young girl, never seen a short man before!?”
He seemed offended by her stare.
“Eh? No it’s not that! I just…”
She was unsure of what to say as it was actually the first time she had seen a dwarf before.
(No no, they are just humans who are slightly similar to dwarves…Hikaru told me this before..)
“Well girl, you have someone you can contact?” The dwarf looking guard asked.
“Well yes, he should be in Urnan right now..probably.”
She tried to think of the Teleportation would have taken longer time than it seemed.
“I need to find some place that teleports letters..?”
She was sure Hikaru had said that every city had a post office service, or something similar.
“Ah yes, the instant department, its in that big tower over there.” He pointed out a large green tower that looked almost identical to the one in Urnan.
“That’s the tower they use to send off the letters.”
“Thank you for help!” She thanked the dwarvish man and ran off towards the tower.
–
“What do you mean, you can’t let me send any letters!?”
Yuri slammed her fists against the desk in front of her. Which made a pitiful sound as her petite arms were anything but strong.
“As I said. Due to the chance that the rebels are able to contact outside support groups, we have been ordered to block off all communications to the outside.”
The professional looking woman spoke with an attitude that showed she was used to this kind of behaviour with customers.
“I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do about it, I’m just a secretary, you should go complain to the higher ups, not me.” She went back to shuffling her papers around.
“Grrr…this is so annoying..”
Yuri muttered while walking out of the tower.
“What the hell am I supposed to do. Can’t contact Hikaru or Delem. Have no money. All I have is a useless relic and my dagger.”
She sighed but smiled slightly.
“At least money isn’t going to be a problem..”
She went into an alley where she began to prepare a few things.
Drawing a few runes on some stones, which she hid in her pockets. She was glad she was still wearing the tight black outfit that was had many pockets, although the fact she wore pants did earn her a lot of stares.
“Oh yeah..Hikaru did say that women don’t wear pants here..guess I should buy a dress..”
She sighed at the idea of having to willingly put on women’s clothing.
She found a perfect target.
A stall specialising in accessories and gold items.
Walking past the stall, she activated and dropped one of the stones beneath it.
Then she threw another stone towards a crowded corner of the marketplace.
The stone she threw exploded with a loud bang, making a few people close to it fly a bit an hit the wall before sliding down in a comical fashion.
With everyone concentrating on the source of the explosion, no one noticed the sound of lightning and a merchant falling over.
“Too easy..”
She pocketed all the coins and took a few gold rings before using the last stone. Which took the form of the incapacitated man.
She slowly walked away, before anyone figured to question the strangely clothed girl.
“Hmm, so this is the city of Brokkr..good thing Hikaru isn’t here, I can have as much fun as I want. Hehe~”
Giggling to herself, she made her way to an inn and paid for an inn.
The one matched the previous “Leaky tit” inn, but instead it was called the “Leaky dick”.
“What the hell is up with the naming sense of the people in this world…is there a theme I’m missing..?”
She laid down on the bed, while dropping a bag that contained a dress she had bought by the bed.
“I don’t feel like wearing a skirt..today I will just..think things through inside..”
She took off the heavy relic staff and hid it underneath the bed, finally able to relax her back.
“Well..since I can’t contact Hikaru..what should I do..wait..this is the city of Brokkr..so it must have a relic connected to that god..” Yuri sighed.
“But If I hadn’t stolen that key from the queen..i wonder how I would have gotten the staff relic..there glass must as no ordinary rune seal..maybe it was powered by the relic itself..”
“I need to look for another fat information broker and find some info on this city’s relic..but for now..i nap…”
Yuri fell into a deep sleep and dreamt of a large endless field with a certain raven haired man getting further and further away.
“No..come back..” Yuri kept muttering throughout the night.
