“So..what you’re saying is..you want us to steal the queens panties..?”

Asking again to make sure, Yuri wanted to make certain this wasn’t some sick joke made by the fat man called Delem seated in front of her.

“Yes!” Delem exclaimed “And for that I will pay you with all the information you require about the relic, I will even throw in any equipment you will require to do so.”

“That IS a good deal for simply stealing a pair of women’s underpants…”

Yuri commented with a thoughtful look.

“It is only fair, as so far it has been impossible for me to acquire, even with my many connections…” Sighing solemnly, Delem looked down.

“Isn’t that just because no one wanted to accept such a ridiculous silly job…?”

Yuri looked sceptical.

“Well, that is part of it of course, but it also has to do with the queen burning all her underwear after a single use..not to mention how difficult it is to even enter the palace, but since you already stole something that no one could imagine being stolen. I’m sure this will be a walk in the park for you. You are after all the legendary…what was your name again…Yuri! The legendary Yuri that stole a godly relic!”

Showing off all his golden teeth, Delem attempted a smile to win Yuri over.

“Legendary Yuri, huh…i do like the sound of that..I’ll do it!”

She was convinced with simple flattery.

“So..for starters i need information about the palace, guard shifts and-“

She and Delem began discussing carious information about the palace while Hikaru was slowly forgotten in a corner of the room, waiting patiently for Yuri to finish.

“Are you certain about this?”

Hikaru asked for the fifteenth time, as he and Yuri made their way through a small hole in the palace wall, conveniently set up by Delem’s men beforehand to give them a quick entrance.

“For the love of whatever god you believe in, yes I am sure. I mean it is just a pair of panties, how hard can it be?”

her voice echoed slightly as she snapped at Hikaru while they were sneaking through the cold hallways of the palace.

“Alright, but if something goes wrong, then i will not hesitate to grab you and run.”

Focusing his attention on his surroundings, he made sure no palace guards were around.

“Alright, i think it’s this way.”

Following the directions they received from Delem, they made their way through a complex maze of hallways that were all decorated with all manner of golden and silken things.

A while later, after having dodged several passing guards and servants, they arrived at their destination. A big door made of exotic looking wood, carved with a complicated set of runes that stood in the way of their prize.

“Damn..they really don’t skimp on the security…I suppose that is to be expected of a queen..but this much is child’s play~”

Taking out her small intricate dagger, Yuri began to draw small runes ont he door, which connected the other lumps of runes together, making the magic to fail and shut down, like a faulty circuit.

“Hah, this really is no different than hacking digital locks back home..lucky me~”

She made quick work of the protection magic on the door, and stood back in order for Hikaru to do his part.

Slowly walking up to the door, Hikaru cut it open with a single swipe of his sword. The drawing, cutting and sheathing of the sword was done in one smooth motion, reminding Yuri of certain eastern swordsmen from her world.

“It’s done.” He walked in with Yuri following after him.

“Okay, get searching then, we need to be gone before anyone notices that a door has been sliced open.”

She began to search the simple but well decorated room.

A few minutes later, they found what they were looking for, Yuri held up a pair of red panties above her head and sang a short tune, before quickly stuffing the panties into her bag when she realised Hikaru was looking at her with a pitying gaze.

“…That was just…a reference..from my world, item get..you wouldn’t get it..” She muttered while feeling embarrassed.

“Whatever you say.”

Hikaru simply walked through the door with Yuri behind him without making an issue of her strange behaviour, before suddenly stopping.

“Hikaru? What’s wrong?”

“…Sorry Yuri..it appears i have failed as your bodyguard..”

He said in regretful voice.

“Hah? What are you on about?”

She leaned around Hikaru to see what was going on and was greeted with a glowing spear held towards her throat, and the glare of a small army. Which quickly made her understand why Hikaru was unable to move further.

A woman in a red dress and a white crown appeared from behind the army of guards. Sighing softly.

“Delem..how low have you fallen..to send a child and a boy pretending to be a knight. What are you thinking.”

The woman sighed again, before shifting her gaze at the pair before her.

“What’s with the shocked look? Surely you didn’t think that breaking into the palace would be that easy. The only reason you even got this far is because i was bored and ordered the guards to avoid you. Besides the door you sliced up had several alarm spells on it, so you would have been caught anyway..Geez that Delem..”

“Of course..an alarm..why didn’t I think of that..most security systems back home also had alarms activate when the lock was broken..I got careless..” Yuri muttered to herself.

“What are you muttering about, little girl, don’t worry i wont hang you, but i will do something far worse..now introduce yourself to your Queen!”

The queen proclaimed as one of the guards thrust his spear slightly, poking it against Yuri’s throat slightly.

“ah um. I’m Yuri, and this is Hikaru, my personal guard, we were um, hired by as you guessed, Delem to steal your panties for some reason..i have no idea why, but he paid well, that’s all I know!”

Yuri frantically spilled everything in an attempt to not get beheaded as she didn’t trust the queen previous reassuring words.

“I knew all of that already.” The queen added coolly ” What I am interested in is that you could destroy a magic rune circle drawn by the first king of Urnan..so for now you will belong to me..”

As the queen said this, Yuri’s vision went black, and she realised that she was hit on the back of her head and fainted before hitting the ground.

“Nnn…” Yuri groaned while opening her eyes. She found herself in a big royal, lavish looking room.

Looking around, she realised she wasn’t wearing the simple white dress she had bought with Hikaru before, instead she was wearing a black and pink maids uniform.

“What the hell..?”

She tried to get up but something around her neck pushed her backwards. She realised she had a collar on her neck that had a long small chain.

Holding the chain, whilst sitting on a big throne that looked every part as royal as t he room, was the queen.

“Finally awake are we?” She tugged the chain lightly.

“Where am i and what have you done with Hikaru!?”

Yuri exclaimed while trying to stand up, before being dragged down to the floor by the queen pulling on the chain connected to Yuri’s collar.

“The swordsman..? He wasn’t interesting so I just left him in a jail cell. Don’t worry he won’t die…for now..”

She grinned. Making as shiver go down Yuri’s spine. She recognised that grin. It was a grin she all too often wore when she was about to grab a valuable item, it was the grin of a predator looking at its prey.

“…What do you want from me..I told you everything before..so let bygones be bygones..?” Yuri smiled awkwardly “Not like we actually succeeded and you seem to know the fat man named Delem, pathetic isn’t he? Haha i don’t even know how scum like that got a hold of so much wealth..”

Yuri attempted to persuade the queen while laughing nervously.

“His wealth..he stole it when he divorced me..and left me to take care of this shithole city by myself..” The queen spat out.

(oooh not good, i hit a landmine. Who would have guessed that fat man with the golden teeth was the king. It simply didn’t fit)

Yuri thought while regretting her choice of subject.

“Im..sorry..?” Not sure what to do. Yuri awkwardly apologised.

“Well..that’s not important right now. What’s important is that he has actually supplied me with a fun toy this time..”

The queen gazed at Yuri, making fear run through her very core.

“Ehm..toy..what does that imply..want me to be your maid..?”

She glanced down at her maidly clothes.

“Haha, that’s funny. No.” She laughed sarcastically.” Maids have rights and get paid. You however, have no rights. You are lower than a dog. You are my slave until i get bored of you!”

The queen smiled sadistically.

“…Just my luck..” Yuri gulped and smiled awkwardly at the villainous queen before her.
